Removal of the Brake Temperature Monitoring-Unit
WARNING:

- THE FLIGHT CONTROL SURFACES
- THE LANDING GEAR AND THE RELATED DOORS
- COMPONENTS THAT MOVE.
WARNING:
MAKE SURE THAT THE GROUND SAFETY-LOCKS ARE IN POSITION ON THE LANDING GEAR. THIS WILL PREVENT UNWANTED MOVEMENT OF THE LANDING GEAR, AND THUS POSSIBLE INJURY TO PERSONS AND DAMAGE TO THE AIRCRAFT AND/OR EQUIPMENT.

A. Safety Precautions
(1) As necessary, use the applicable SAFETY BARRIERS, specified by the operator's instructions and your local regulations.
(2) Make sure that the ground safety locks are on the landing gear (Ref. AMM TASK 32-00-00-481-001).
(3) On the panel 400VU:

(2) Make sure that the ground safety locks are on the landing gear (Ref. AMM TASK 32-00-00-481-001).
(3) On the panel 400VU:
- make sure that the landing-gear control-lever 6GA is in the DOWN position
- put a WARNING NOTICE(S) in position to tell persons not to operate the landing gear.

A. Removal of the Brake Temperature Monitoring Unit
(1) Move the rubber shields (3) sufficiently to get access to the electrical connectors (5).
(2) Disconnect the electrical connectors (5) from the brake temperature sensors (4).
(3) Cut and remove the heat-shrinkable tubing (9).
(4) Disconnect the electrical connector (8) from the brake temperature monitoring unit (10).
(5) Put a CAP - BLANKING on the disconnected electrical connectors.
(6) Put a CAP - BLANKING on the brake temperature sensor (4) connector receptacles.
(7) Put a CAP - BLANKING on the monitoring unit (10) connector receptacle.
(8) Remove the nuts (7), the washers (6) and the bolts (1). Remove the monitoring unit (10) from the bracket (2).
(1) Move the rubber shields (3) sufficiently to get access to the electrical connectors (5).
(2) Disconnect the electrical connectors (5) from the brake temperature sensors (4).
(3) Cut and remove the heat-shrinkable tubing (9).
(4) Disconnect the electrical connector (8) from the brake temperature monitoring unit (10).
(5) Put a CAP - BLANKING on the disconnected electrical connectors.
(6) Put a CAP - BLANKING on the brake temperature sensor (4) connector receptacles.
(7) Put a CAP - BLANKING on the monitoring unit (10) connector receptacle.
(8) Remove the nuts (7), the washers (6) and the bolts (1). Remove the monitoring unit (10) from the bracket (2).
