A. Safety Precautions
   (1) As necessary, use the applicable SAFETY BARRIERS, specified by the operator's instructions and your local regulations.
   (2) Make sure that the ground safety locks are on the landing gear (Ref. AMM TASK 32-00-00-481-001).
   (3) On panel 400VU:
  • Make sure that the landing-gear control-lever 6GA is in the DOWN position
  • Put a WARNING NOTICE(S) in position to tell persons not to operate the landing gear.

B. Flight Configuration Precautions
   (1) If the electrical power is not necessary for other maintenance tasks, de-energize the aircraft electrical circuits (Ref. AMM TASK 24-41-00-862-002). Then, it is not necessary to operate the LGCIU circuit breakers.
   (2) If the electrical power is necessary, do the precautions for flight configuration (Ref. AMM TASK 32-00-00-860-001) before you open the circuit breakers.

D. Get Access
   (1) Open the applicable MLG door (Ref. AMM TASK 32-12-00-010-001).
   (2) Put the ACCESS PLATFORM 2M (6 FT) in position adjacent to the applicable MLG, below zone 730 or 740.
   (3) Remove the applicable wheels (Ref. AMM TASK 32-41-11-000-006).
   (4) Remove the applicable tachometers (Ref. AMM TASK 32-42-57-000-001).

D. Get Access
   (1) Open the applicable MLG door (Ref. AMM TASK 32-12-00-010-001).
   (2) Put the ACCESS PLATFORM 2M (6 FT) in position adjacent to the applicable MLG, below zone 730 or 740.
   (3) Remove the applicable wheels (Ref. AMM TASK 32-41-11-000-006).
   (4) Remove the applicable brake fan assemblies (Ref. AMM TASK 32-48-51-000-005).
   (5) Remove the applicable tachometers (Ref. AMM TASK 32-42-57-000-001).
4. Procedure
Subtask 32-11-43-020-062-C
A. Removal of the 1M and 2M Harnesses from the MLG Axle
WARNING: USE PROTECTIVE GOGGLES AND GLOVES WHEN YOU REMOVE OR INSTALL LOCKWIRE. EACH TIME YOU CUT LOCKWIRE, REMOVE AND DISCARD IT IMMEDIATELY. LOOSE LOCKWIRE CAN CUT YOU OR MAKE YOU BLIND, AND/OR CAN CAUSE DAMAGE.
CAUTION: MAKE SURE THAT ALL ELECTRICAL CONNECTORS ARE IDENTIFIED WITH THEIR FIN NO. TO CORRECTLY CONNECT EACH PLUG TO ITS RELATED RECEPTACLE. INCORRECT CONNECTION OF THE ELECTRICAL CONNECTORS CAN CAUSE DAMAGE TO THE AIRCRAFT ELECTRICAL SYSTEM.
   (1) For the 1M harness:
     (a) Disconnect the axle harness electrical connector (3) from the 1M harness connector (2) installed on the bracket (1).
   (2) For the 2M harness:
     (a) Remove and discard the lockwire from the bolts (4).
     (b) Remove the bolts (4), the washers (5) and remove the cable clamp (6).
     (c) Disconnect the axle harness electrical connector (7) from the 2M harness connector (8) installed on the bracket (9).
   (3) Carefully remove the six cableforms of the 1M and 2M harnesses from the axle through the cable access holes. Do not make kinks in the harnesses.
   (4) Put the CAP-BLANKING on each disconnected electrical connector and receptacle.
