3. Job Set-up

A. Safety Precautions
   (1) As necessary, use the applicable SAFETY BARRIERS, specified by the operator's instructions and your local regulations.
   (2) Make sure that the ground safety locks are on the landing gear (Ref. AMM TASK 32-00-00-481-001).
   (3) On panel 400VU:
  • Make sure that the landing-gear control-lever 6GA is in the DOWN position
  • Put a WARNING NOTICE(S) in position to tell persons not to operate the landing gear.

B. Flight Configuration Precautions
   (1) If the electrical power is not necessary for other maintenance tasks, de-energize the aircraft electrical circuits (Ref. AMM TASK 24-41-00-862-002). Then it is not necessary to operate the LGCIU circuit breakers.
   (2) If the electrical power is necessary, do the precautions for flight configuration (Ref. AMM TASK 32-00-00-860-001) before you open the circuit breakers.

E. Get Access
   (1) Put the ACCESS PLATFORM 2M (6 FT) in position adjacent to the applicable MLG, below the zone 730 or 740.
   (2) Open the applicable MLG door (Ref. AMM TASK 32-12-00-010-001).
   (3) Make sure that the 460005835 SLEEVE - GROUND LOCK is on the applicable MLG door actuator.
Subtask 32-11-46-010-050-B ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
E. Get Access
   (1) Put the ACCESS PLATFORM 2M (6 FT) in position adjacent to the applicable MLG, below the zone 730 or 740.
   (2) Open the applicable MLG door (Ref. AMM TASK 32-12-00-010-001).
   (3) Make sure that the 460005835 SLEEVE - GROUND LOCK is on the applicable MLG door actuator.
   (4) Remove the overwing panel protection (Ref. AMM TASK 57-51-42-000-001).
4. Procedure
Subtask 32-11-46-020-051-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
A. Removal of the MLG Disconnection Box
   (1) Remove the screws (1) and lower the lid (4) on the lanyards.
   (2) Remove the screw (14) and the cleat (15).
   (3) Disconnect the electrical connector (3) and remove the cable (13) from the box.
   (4) Put the CAP-BLANKING on each disconnected electrical connector and receptacle.
   (5) Remove the screws (5) and (6) and disconnect the bonding straps (10).
   (6) Remove the screws (9) and then the four cable clips (11) from the harness.
   (7) Remove the electrical receptacle 4027VC (4028VC) from its retaining plate.
   (8) Loosen the locknuts on the electrical connections (7), (8) and (12).
   (9) Carefully move the harness cable through the slots in the MLG disconnection box (16).
   (10) Hold the MLG disconnection box (16) and remove the screws (2).
   (11) Remove the MLG disconnection box (16).
Subtask 32-11-46-020-051-B ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
A. Removal of the MLG Disconnection Box
   (1) Remove the screws (1) and lower the lid (4) on the lanyards.
   (2) Remove the screw (14) and the cleat (15).
   (3) Disconnect the electrical connector (3) and remove the cable (13) from the box.
   (4) Put the CAP-BLANKING on each disconnected electrical connector and receptacle.
   (5) Remove the screws (5) and (6) and disconnect the bonding straps (10).
   (6) Remove the screws (9) and then the four cable clips (11) from the harness.
   (7) Remove the electrical receptacle 4027VC (4028VC) from its retaining plate.
   (8) Remove the electrical receptacle 4031VC (4032VC) from its retaining plate.
   (9) Loosen the locknuts on the electrical connections (7), (8) and (12).
   (10) Carefully move the harness cable through the slots in the MLG disconnection box (16).
   (11) Hold the MLG disconnection box (16) and remove the screws (2).
   (12) Remove the MLG disconnection box (16).
Subtask 32-11-46-020-051-C ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
A. Removal of the MLG Disconnection Box
   (1) Remove the screws (1) and the lid (4).
   (2) Remove the screw (14) and the cleat (15).
   (3) Disconnect the electrical connector (3) and remove the cable (13) from the box.
   (4) Put the CAP-BLANKING on each disconnected electrical connector and receptacle.
   (5) Remove the screws (5) and (6) and disconnect the bonding straps (10).
   (6) Remove the screws (9) and then the four cable clips (11) from the harness.
   (7) Remove the electrical receptacle 4027VC (4028VC) from its retaining plate.
   (8) Loosen the locknuts on the electrical connections (7), (8) and (12).
   (9) Carefully move the harness cable through the slots in the MLG disconnection box (16).
   (10) Hold the MLG disconnection box (16) and remove the screws (2).
   (11) Remove the MLG disconnection box (16).
Subtask 32-11-46-020-051-D ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
A. Removal of the MLG Disconnection Box
   (1) Remove the screws (1) and the lid (4).
   (2) Remove the screw (14) and the cleat (15).
   (3) Disconnect the electrical connector (3) and remove the cable (13) from the box.
   (4) Put the CAP-BLANKING on each disconnected electrical connector and receptacle.
   (5) Remove the screws (5) and (6) and disconnect the bonding straps (10).
   (6) Remove the screws (9) and then the four cable clips (11) from the harness.
   (7) Remove the electrical receptacle 4027VC (4028VC) from its retaining plate.
   (8) Remove the electrical receptacle 4031VC (4032VC) from its retaining plate.
   (9) Loosen the locknuts on the electrical connections (7), (8) and (12).
   (10) Carefully move the harness cable through the slots in the MLG disconnection box (16).
   (11) Hold the MLG disconnection box (16) and remove the screws (2).
   (12) Remove the MLG disconnection box (16).
