To Simulate Ground Configuration with the Aircraft on Jacks

TASK 32-00-00-869-001-A
To Simulate Ground Configuration with the Aircraft on Jacks

WARNING: PUT THE SAFETY DEVICES AND THE WARNING NOTICES IN POSITION BEFORE YOU START A TASK ON OR NEAR:
  • THE FLIGHT CONTROLS
  • THE FLIGHT CONTROL SURFACES
  • THE LANDING GEAR AND THE RELATED DOORS
  • COMPONENTS THAT MOVE.
MOVEMENT OF COMPONENTS CAN KILL OR CAUSE INJURY TO PERSONS AND/OR CAN CAUSE DAMAGE TO THE EQUIPMENT.
WARNING: MAKE SURE THAT THE GROUND SAFETY-LOCKS ARE IN POSITION ON THE LANDING GEAR. THIS WILL PREVENT UNWANTED MOVEMENT OF THE LANDING GEAR, AND THUS POSSIBLE INJURY TO PERSONS AND DAMAGE TO THE AIRCRAFT AND/OR EQUIPMENT.

Subtask 32-00-00-941-059-A
A. Safety Precautions
   (1) As necessary, use the applicable SAFETY BARRIERS, specified by the operator's instructions and your local regulations.
   (2) Make sure that the ground safety locks are installed on the landing gear (Ref. AMM TASK 32-00-00-481-001).
   (3) On the panel 400VU:
  • make sure that the landing-gear control-lever 6GA is in the DOWN position
  • put a WARNING NOTICE(S) in position to tell persons not to operate the landing gear.
Subtask 32-00-00-860-055-A
B. Flight Configuration Precautions
WARNING: OPEN THE PITOT-PROBE HEATER CIRCUIT-BREAKERS 3DA1, 3DA2 AND 3DA3 BEFORE YOU OPEN THE PHC CIRCUIT BREAKERS 2DA1, 2DA2 AND 2DA3. IF YOU DO NOT OBEY THIS SEQUENCE:
  • THE PITOT PROBES WILL BECOME TOO HOT,
  • THE PITOT PROBE COVERS WILL MELT AND,
  • THERE IS A RISK OF INJURY TO MAINTENANCE PERSONNEL.
WARNING: OPEN THE WINDOW HEAT CIRCUIT-BREAKERS 4DG1 AND 4DG2, AND THE WINDSHIELD HEATER CIRCUIT-BREAKERS 1DG1 AND 1DG2, BEFORE YOU OPEN THE WHC CIRCUIT-BREAKERS 5DG1 AND 5DG2. IF YOU DO NOT OBEY THIS SEQUENCE:
  • THE WINDOWS AND WINDSHIELDS WILL BECOME TOO HOT,
  • THIS CAN CAUSE DAMAGE TO EQUIPMENT AND INJURY TO PERSONNEL.
WARNING: OPEN CIRCUIT BREAKERS 1JH, 2JH1, 2JH2, 3JH1 AND 3JH2 (ENGINE 1 AND 2 IGNITION SYSTEMS). THEN OPEN CIRCUIT BREAKERS 2KS1 AND 2KS2 (FADEC A AND EIU 1 AND 2) AND 4KS1 (FADEC B AND EIU 1). IF YOU DO NOT OBEY THIS SEQUENCE, THE ENGINE AUTOMATIC IGNITION- SYSTEM WILL OPERATE. THIS CAN CAUSE INJURY TO MAINTENANCE PERSONNEL.
   (1) Make sure that the flight configuration precautions have been completed (Ref. AMM TASK 32-00-00-860-001).
4. Procedure
Subtask 32-00-00-869-056-A
A. Simulated Ground Configuration with the Aircraft on Jacks
   (1) Make sure that the electrical circuits are de-energized (Ref. AMM TASK 24-41-00-862-002).
   (2) Install the 98D32603000000 SIMULATION PLATE-FLIGHT GROUND on the landing gear extension proximity sensors:
  • on the NLG, 24GA and 25GA
  • on the LH MLG, 21GA and 23GA
  • on the RH MLG, 20GA and 22GA.

NOTE: The aircraft is in the Ground Configuration until the 98D32603000000 SIMULATION PLATE-FLIGHT GROUND is/are removed from the landing gear extension proximity sensors.
   (3) If necessary, energize the electrical circuits (Ref. AMM TASK 24-41-00-861-002).
   (4) If it is necessary to close circuit breakers opened in the flight configuration precautions, do step (5) or (6).
   (5) If the Display Management Unit (DMU) is not available:
     (a) Close the applicable circuit breakers that were opened in the flight configuration precautions. In this condition, you must not open the LGCIU 1 and 2 circuit breakers.
   (6) If the Aircraft Integrated Data System (AIDS) and the DMU are available:
     (a) Do a check of the LGCIU 1 and 2 Label 21 as follows:
1 Input into the DMU Label Call up page:
  • 06D/1/021/01 (LGCIU 1 Label 21)
  • 06D/2/021/10 (LGCIU 2 Label 21)
2 Bits 12, 13 and 14 will all display as '1' if the simulation plates are correctly installed.
     (b) Close the applicable circuit breakers that were opened in the flight configuration precautions. In this condition, you must not open the LGCIU 1 and 2 circuit breakers.
5. Close-up
Subtask 32-00-00-942-061-A
