B. Aircraft Maintenance Configuration
(1) Make sure that the Yellow hydraulic system is depressurized.
(Ref. AMM TASK 29-10-00-864-002).
(2) Depressurize the reservoir of the Yellow hydraulic system.
(Ref. AMM TASK 29-14-00-614-001).
(3) On the ECAM control panel, push the HYD key:
Subtask 29-13-49-941-124-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL (1) Make sure that the Yellow hydraulic system is depressurized.
(Ref. AMM TASK 29-10-00-864-002).
(2) Depressurize the reservoir of the Yellow hydraulic system.
(Ref. AMM TASK 29-14-00-614-001).
(3) On the ECAM control panel, push the HYD key:
- On the lower ECAM DU, the HYD page comes into view.
- Lift the guard and release the ENG2/FIRE pushbutton switch.
- Make sure that the fire shutoff valve (3046GD) is closed.
C. Safety Precautions
(1) On AIR COND panel 30VU:
(a) Put a WARNING NOTICE(S) in position to tell persons not to pressurize the Yellow hydraulic system on the ground service panel.
(3) On the HYD section of panel 40VU:
(a) Put a WARNING NOTICE(S) in position to tell persons not to pressurize the reservoir of the Yellow hydraulic system.
(5) On FLAPS panel 114VU:

- Make sure that the APU BLEED pushbutton switch is released (ON legend off).
- Put a WARNING NOTICE(S) in position to tell persons not to operate this pushbutton switch.
(a) Put a WARNING NOTICE(S) in position to tell persons not to pressurize the Yellow hydraulic system on the ground service panel.
(3) On the HYD section of panel 40VU:
- Put a WARNING NOTICE(S) in position to tell persons not to pressurize the Yellow hydraulic system.
(a) Put a WARNING NOTICE(S) in position to tell persons not to pressurize the reservoir of the Yellow hydraulic system.
(5) On FLAPS panel 114VU:
- Install the 98D27803000000 LOCKING TOOL-FLAP SLAT LEVER,INT. POSITION on the flap/slat control lever (Ref. AMM TASK 27-00-00-480-002).
- Put a WARNING NOTICE(S) on the flap/slat control lever to tell persons not to operate the flap/slat controls.

YOU MUST DEACTIVATE THE THRUST REVERSER BEFORE YOU DO WORK ON OR AROUND IT. IF YOU DO NOT, THE THRUST REVERSER CAN OPERATE ACCIDENTALLY AND CAUSE AN INJURY AND/OR DAMAGE.
(1) Do the deactivation of the thrust reverser system for maintenance (Ref. AMM TASK 78-30-00-040-805). G. Get Access

(3) Put an ACCESS PLATFORM 3M (10 FT)- ADJUSTABLE in position at the zones 420 and 480.

(1) Removal of the hydraulic pipe (36):
(a) Disconnect the hydraulic pipe (36) from the pylon/wing interface.
1 Drain the hydraulic fluid in the CONTAINER 5 L (1.32 USGAL).
(b) Remove the clamp (54).
1 Remove the nut (55), bolt (52), washer (53) and the clamp (54).
(c) Remove the clamp (46).
1 Remove the bolt (48), washer (47) and the clamp (46).
(d) Remove the clamp (49).
1 Remove the bolt (51), washer (50) and the clamp (49).
(e) Hold the hydraulic pipe (36) with a WRENCH - STANDARD and disconnect the hydraulic pipe (5).
1 Drain the hydraulic fluid in the CONTAINER 5 L (1.32 USGAL).
(f) Remove the hydraulic pipe (36).
(g) Put PLUG - BLANKING on the disconnected line ends.
(2) Removal of the hydraulic hose (39):
(a) Disconnect the hydraulic hose (39) from the pylon/wing interface.
1 Drain the hydraulic fluid in the CONTAINER 5 L (1.32 USGAL).
(b) Remove the clamp (40).
1 Remove the bolt (42), washer (41) and the clamp (40).
(c) Hold the hydraulic hose (39) with a WRENCH - STANDARD and disconnect the hydraulic pipe (4).
1 Drain the hydraulic fluid in the CONTAINER 5 L (1.32 USGAL).
(d) Remove the hydraulic hose (39) from the pylon.
(e) Put PLUG - BLANKING on the disconnected line ends.
(3) Removal of the hydraulic hose (38):
(a) Removal of the support (71):
1 Hold the support (71) and remove the bolts (72) and the washers (73).
2 Remove the support (71) from the structure.
(b) Disconnect the hydraulic hose (38) from the pylon/wing interface.
1 Drain the hydraulic fluid in the CONTAINER 5 L (1.32 USGAL).
(c) Remove the clamp (43).
1 Remove the bolt (45), washer (44) and the clamp (43).
2 Remove the clamp (43) from the structure.
(d) Hold the support (70) and remove the hydraulic hose (38).
(e) Put PLUG - BLANKING on the disconnected line ends.
(4) Remove the support (70) from the structure.
(5) Removal of the hydraulic hose (37):
(a) Disconnect the hydraulic pipe (2) from the hydraulic pipe (37).
1 Drain the hydraulic fluid in the CONTAINER 5 L (1.32 USGAL).
(b) Disconnect the hydraulic hose (37) from the pylon/wing interface and remove it from the pylon.

1 Drain the hydraulic fluid in the CONTAINER 5 L (1.32 USGAL).
(b) Remove the clamp (54).
1 Remove the nut (55), bolt (52), washer (53) and the clamp (54).
(c) Remove the clamp (46).
1 Remove the bolt (48), washer (47) and the clamp (46).
(d) Remove the clamp (49).
1 Remove the bolt (51), washer (50) and the clamp (49).
(e) Hold the hydraulic pipe (36) with a WRENCH - STANDARD and disconnect the hydraulic pipe (5).
1 Drain the hydraulic fluid in the CONTAINER 5 L (1.32 USGAL).
(f) Remove the hydraulic pipe (36).
(g) Put PLUG - BLANKING on the disconnected line ends.
(2) Removal of the hydraulic hose (39):
(a) Disconnect the hydraulic hose (39) from the pylon/wing interface.
1 Drain the hydraulic fluid in the CONTAINER 5 L (1.32 USGAL).
(b) Remove the clamp (40).
1 Remove the bolt (42), washer (41) and the clamp (40).
(c) Hold the hydraulic hose (39) with a WRENCH - STANDARD and disconnect the hydraulic pipe (4).
1 Drain the hydraulic fluid in the CONTAINER 5 L (1.32 USGAL).
(d) Remove the hydraulic hose (39) from the pylon.
(e) Put PLUG - BLANKING on the disconnected line ends.
(3) Removal of the hydraulic hose (38):
(a) Removal of the support (71):
1 Hold the support (71) and remove the bolts (72) and the washers (73).
2 Remove the support (71) from the structure.
(b) Disconnect the hydraulic hose (38) from the pylon/wing interface.
1 Drain the hydraulic fluid in the CONTAINER 5 L (1.32 USGAL).
(c) Remove the clamp (43).
1 Remove the bolt (45), washer (44) and the clamp (43).
2 Remove the clamp (43) from the structure.
(d) Hold the support (70) and remove the hydraulic hose (38).
(e) Put PLUG - BLANKING on the disconnected line ends.
(4) Remove the support (70) from the structure.
(5) Removal of the hydraulic hose (37):
(a) Disconnect the hydraulic pipe (2) from the hydraulic pipe (37).
1 Drain the hydraulic fluid in the CONTAINER 5 L (1.32 USGAL).
(b) Disconnect the hydraulic hose (37) from the pylon/wing interface and remove it from the pylon.
1 Drain the hydraulic fluid in the CONTAINER 5 L (1.32 USGAL).
(c) Put PLUG - BLANKING on the disconnected line ends.
B. Removal of the Forward and Middle Pressure/Suction/Case Drain/Return Piping of the Yellow Hydraulic System in the Engine Pylon

(2) Removal of the hydraulic pipes (1) and (7):
(a) Disconnect the hydraulic pipes (1) and (7) from the pylon fuel-hydraulic plate (56).
1 Drain the hydraulic fluid in the CONTAINER 5 L (1.32 USGAL).
(b) Hold the hydraulic pipe (1) and disconnect it from the hydraulic pipe (6).
(c) Remove the hydraulic pipe (1).
(d) Hold the hydraulic pipe (7) and disconnect it from the hydraulic pipe (2).
(e) Remove the hydraulic pipe (7).
(f) Put PLUG - BLANKING on the disconnected line ends.
(3) Removal of the hydraulic pipes (2) and (6):
(a) Remove the bolts (8) and the washers (9) that attach the hydraulic pipe (6) to the structure.
(b) Remove the bolts (10) and the washers (11) that attach the hydraulic pipe (2) to the structure.
(c) Remove the half clamp blocks (28) and (34).
1 Remove the nuts (31).
2 Remove the bolts (26) and the washers (27) that attach the half clamp block (28) to the half clamp block (34).
3 Hold the half clamp block (28) and remove the bolts (29) and the washers (30).
4 Remove the half clamp block (28).
5 Hold the clamp block (34) and remove the bolts (32) and the washers (33).
6 Remove the half clamp block (34).
(d) Install a WRENCH - CROWFOOT on the flats of the pylon manifold to hold it.
(e) Disconnect the hydraulic pipes (6) and (38) from the pylon manifold.
1 Drain the hydraulic fluid in the CONTAINER 5 L (1.32 USGAL).
2 Put CAP - BLANKING on the open ports of the pylon manifold.
(f) Remove the clamps (12).
1 Remove the bolts (13) and the washers (14) that attach the clamps (12) to the structure.
2 Remove the clamps (12).
(g) Remove the hydraulic pipe (2) from the pylon.
(h) Remove the clamps (17).
1 Remove the bolts (15) and the washers (16) that attach the clamp (17) to the structure.
2 Remove the clamp (17).
(i) Remove the hydraulic pipe (6) from the pylon.
(j) Put PLUG - BLANKING on the disconnected line ends.
(4) Removal of the hydraulic pipes (4) and (5):
(a) Removal of the support (74):
1 Remove the bolts (78), washers (77) and clamp (81).
2 Remove the bolt (79) and washer (80).
3 Remove the bolts (76) and washers (75).
4 Remove the support (74).
(b) Removal of the support (59):
1 Remove the bolts (62), washers (61) and clamp (60).
2 Remove the bolts (63), washers (64) and clamp (65).
3 Remove the bolts (66) and washers (69) that attach the support (59) to the structure.
4 Remove the bolts (68) and washers (67) that attach the support (59) to the structure.
5 Remove the support (59) from the structure.
(c) Disconnect the hydraulic pipe (57) from the hydraulic pipe (4).
(d) Disconnect the hydraulic pipe (58) from the hydraulic pipe (5).
(e) Remove the sealant from the head of the bolts (18) with SPATULA - NON METALLIC.
(f) Remove the bolts (18) and the washers (19) that attach the hydraulic tube (4) to the structure.
(g) Disconnect the hydraulic pipe (4) from the structure.
1 Drain the hydraulic fluid in the CONTAINER 5 L (1.32 USGAL).
(h) Remove the sealant from the head of the bolts (20) with SPATULA - NON METALLIC.
(i) Remove the bolts (20) and the washers (21) that attach the hydraulic pipe (5) to the structure.
(j) Disconnect the hydraulic pipe (5) from the structure.
1 Drain the hydraulic fluid in the CONTAINER 5 L (1.32 USGAL).
(k) Remove the clamp blocks (23).
1 Remove the bolts (25) and the washers (24) that attach the clamp blocks (23) to the structure.
2 Remove the clamp blocks (23).
(l) Remove the clamp block (83).
1 Remove the nuts (82), bolts (85) and washers (84).
2 Remove the clamp block (83).
(m) Remove the hydraulic pipes (4) and (5).
(n) Put PLUG - BLANKING on the disconnected line ends.
(5) Removal of the hydraulic pipe (3):
(a) Disconnect the hydraulic pipe (3) from the hydraulic filter Hydraulic Control Unit (HCU) (35).
1 Drain the hydraulic fluid in the CONTAINER 5 L (1.32 USGAL).
(b) Install a WRENCH - CROWFOOT on the flats of the pylon manifold to hold it.
(c) Disconnect the hydraulic pipe (3) from the pylon manifold (Ref. AMM TASK 29-11-16-000-801).
1 Drain the hydraulic fluid in the CONTAINER 5 L (1.32 USGAL).
2 Put CAP - BLANKING on the open port of the pylon manifold.
(d) Remove the hydraulic pipe (3).
(e) Put PLUG - BLANKING on the disconnected line ends.
Forward and Middle Pressure/Suction/Case Drain/Return Piping of the Yellow Hydraulic System in the Engine Pylon ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL CAUTION:
USE TWO WRENCHES TO REMOVE OR INSTALL THE TUBE COUPLING NUTS:
(1) Put a CONTAINER 5 L (1.32 USGAL) in position below the connections of the hydraulic lines. - ONE WRENCH TO HOLD THE UNION, AND
- ONE TO LOOSEN OR TIGHTEN THE COUPLING NUT.
(2) Removal of the hydraulic pipes (1) and (7):
(a) Disconnect the hydraulic pipes (1) and (7) from the pylon fuel-hydraulic plate (56).
1 Drain the hydraulic fluid in the CONTAINER 5 L (1.32 USGAL).
(b) Hold the hydraulic pipe (1) and disconnect it from the hydraulic pipe (6).
(c) Remove the hydraulic pipe (1).
(d) Hold the hydraulic pipe (7) and disconnect it from the hydraulic pipe (2).
(e) Remove the hydraulic pipe (7).
(f) Put PLUG - BLANKING on the disconnected line ends.
(3) Removal of the hydraulic pipes (2) and (6):
(a) Remove the bolts (8) and the washers (9) that attach the hydraulic pipe (6) to the structure.
(b) Remove the bolts (10) and the washers (11) that attach the hydraulic pipe (2) to the structure.
(c) Remove the half clamp blocks (28) and (34).
1 Remove the nuts (31).
2 Remove the bolts (26) and the washers (27) that attach the half clamp block (28) to the half clamp block (34).
3 Hold the half clamp block (28) and remove the bolts (29) and the washers (30).
4 Remove the half clamp block (28).
5 Hold the clamp block (34) and remove the bolts (32) and the washers (33).
6 Remove the half clamp block (34).
(d) Install a WRENCH - CROWFOOT on the flats of the pylon manifold to hold it.
(e) Disconnect the hydraulic pipes (6) and (38) from the pylon manifold.
1 Drain the hydraulic fluid in the CONTAINER 5 L (1.32 USGAL).
2 Put CAP - BLANKING on the open ports of the pylon manifold.
(f) Remove the clamps (12).
1 Remove the bolts (13) and the washers (14) that attach the clamps (12) to the structure.
2 Remove the clamps (12).
(g) Remove the hydraulic pipe (2) from the pylon.
(h) Remove the clamps (17).
1 Remove the bolts (15) and the washers (16) that attach the clamp (17) to the structure.
2 Remove the clamp (17).
(i) Remove the hydraulic pipe (6) from the pylon.
(j) Put PLUG - BLANKING on the disconnected line ends.
(4) Removal of the hydraulic pipes (4) and (5):
(a) Removal of the support (74):
1 Remove the bolts (78), washers (77) and clamp (81).
2 Remove the bolt (79) and washer (80).
3 Remove the bolts (76) and washers (75).
4 Remove the support (74).
(b) Removal of the support (59):
1 Remove the bolts (62), washers (61) and clamp (60).
2 Remove the bolts (63), washers (64) and clamp (65).
3 Remove the bolts (66) and washers (69) that attach the support (59) to the structure.
4 Remove the bolts (68) and washers (67) that attach the support (59) to the structure.
5 Remove the support (59) from the structure.
(c) Disconnect the hydraulic pipe (57) from the hydraulic pipe (4).
(d) Disconnect the hydraulic pipe (58) from the hydraulic pipe (5).
(e) Remove the sealant from the head of the bolts (18) with SPATULA - NON METALLIC.
(f) Remove the bolts (18) and the washers (19) that attach the hydraulic tube (4) to the structure.
(g) Disconnect the hydraulic pipe (4) from the structure.
1 Drain the hydraulic fluid in the CONTAINER 5 L (1.32 USGAL).
(h) Remove the sealant from the head of the bolts (20) with SPATULA - NON METALLIC.
(i) Remove the bolts (20) and the washers (21) that attach the hydraulic pipe (5) to the structure.
(j) Disconnect the hydraulic pipe (5) from the structure.
1 Drain the hydraulic fluid in the CONTAINER 5 L (1.32 USGAL).
(k) Remove the clamp blocks (23).
1 Remove the bolts (25) and the washers (24) that attach the clamp blocks (23) to the structure.
2 Remove the clamp blocks (23).
(l) Remove the clamp block (83).
1 Remove the nuts (82), bolts (85) and washers (84).
2 Remove the clamp block (83).
(m) Remove the hydraulic pipes (4) and (5).
(n) Put PLUG - BLANKING on the disconnected line ends.
(5) Removal of the hydraulic pipe (3):
(a) Disconnect the hydraulic pipe (3) from the hydraulic filter Hydraulic Control Unit (HCU) (35).
1 Drain the hydraulic fluid in the CONTAINER 5 L (1.32 USGAL).
(b) Install a WRENCH - CROWFOOT on the flats of the pylon manifold to hold it.
(c) Disconnect the hydraulic pipe (3) from the pylon manifold (Ref. AMM TASK 29-11-16-000-801).
1 Drain the hydraulic fluid in the CONTAINER 5 L (1.32 USGAL).
2 Put CAP - BLANKING on the open port of the pylon manifold.
(d) Remove the hydraulic pipe (3).
(e) Put PLUG - BLANKING on the disconnected line ends.
