DO NOT TOUCH THE HYDRAULIC SYSTEM COMPONENTS FOR A SHORT TIME AFTER THE ENGINE IS SHUTDOWN. THE ENGINE COMPONENTS STAY HOT FOR SOME TIME AND CAN CAUSE INJURY.

BE CAREFUL WHEN YOU USE CONSUMABLE MATERIALS. OBEY THE MATERIAL MANUFACTURER'S INSTRUCTIONS AND YOUR LOCAL REGULATIONS.

DO NOT LET HYDRAULIC FLUID FALL ON THE ENGINE. UNWANTED HYDRAULIC FLUID MUST BE REMOVED IMMEDIATELY WITH A CLEAN LINT FREE CLOTH. THE FLUID CAN CAUSE DAMAGE TO THE SURFACE PROTECTION AND TO SOME PARTS.

A. Aircraft Maintenance Configuration
(1) Energize the aircraft electrical circuits
(Ref. AMM TASK 24-41-00-861-002).
(2) Make sure that the Yellow hydraulic system is depressurized (Ref. AMM TASK 29-10-00-864-002).
(3) Make sure that the Yellow hydraulic reservoir is depressurized (Ref. AMM TASK 29-14-00-614-001).
(4) Make sure that the WARNING NOTICE(S) is (are) in position to tell persons not to pressurize the Yellow hydraulic system:
(6) Make sure that the ACCESS PLATFORM 2M (6 FT) is in position at the engine 2.
(7) Make sure that the left fan-cowl door 437AL is open (Ref. AMM TASK 71-13-00-010-010).
Subtask 29-13-39-941-055-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL (1) Energize the aircraft electrical circuits
(Ref. AMM TASK 24-41-00-861-002).
(2) Make sure that the Yellow hydraulic system is depressurized (Ref. AMM TASK 29-10-00-864-002).
(3) Make sure that the Yellow hydraulic reservoir is depressurized (Ref. AMM TASK 29-14-00-614-001).
(4) Make sure that the WARNING NOTICE(S) is (are) in position to tell persons not to pressurize the Yellow hydraulic system:
- On the ground service panel of the Yellow hydraulic-system access-door 198CB.
(6) Make sure that the ACCESS PLATFORM 2M (6 FT) is in position at the engine 2.
(7) Make sure that the left fan-cowl door 437AL is open (Ref. AMM TASK 71-13-00-010-010).
B. Safety Precautions
(1) On the center pedestal, on the ENG panel 115VU:
(3) Make sure that the WARNING NOTICE(S) is (are) in position to tell persons not to pressurize the Yellow hydraulic system:
4. Procedure(1) On the center pedestal, on the ENG panel 115VU:
- Make sure that the WARNING NOTICE(S) is (are) in position to tell persons not to start the engine.
(3) Make sure that the WARNING NOTICE(S) is (are) in position to tell persons not to pressurize the Yellow hydraulic system:
- In the cockpit, on the HYD section of the HYD/FUEL panel 40VU.
- Make sure that the ON legend of the ENG/FADEC GND PWR/1(2) pushbutton switch is off.
- Make sure that the WARNING NOTICE(S) is (are) in position to tell persons not to energize the FADEC 1(2).
Subtask 29-13-39-420-052-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
A. Installation of the Self Sealing Half-Coupling of the Yellow Pump Suction
(2) Do an inspection of the component interfaces and the adjacent area.
(3) Make sure that the hydraulic line end-fittings are serviceable.
(4) Apply Phosphate Ester Hydraulic Fluid-General Power - - (Material No.02ABA1) to the new AIPC 29-13-06-01-012 O-RING (3) and AIPC 29-13-06-01-020 O-RING (5).
(5) Install the O-ring (5) on the self sealing half-coupling (4) (Ref. AMM TASK 20-29-00-911-002).
(6) Remove the PLUG - BLANKING from the fluid disconnect panel (6).
(7) Install the self sealing half-coupling (4) on the fluid disconnect panel (6).
(8) TORQUE the self sealing half-coupling (4) to between 14.3 and 14.1 m.daN (105.46 and 103.98 lbf.ft )

(9) Install the O-ring (3) and the new AIPC 29-13-06-01-011 TEFLON RETAINER RING (2) on the self sealing half-coupling (4).
(10) Remove the PLUG - BLANKING from the disconnected hose half-coupling (1).
(11) Connect the hose half-coupling (1) to the self sealing half-coupling (4).
(12) Turn the sleeve of the sealing half-coupling (4) until the teeth fully engage and you cannot turn the sleeve more.
(13) Identify the tightened union nuts with a red line
(Ref. AMM TASK 20-23-22-910-001).
Subtask 29-13-39-710-052-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL CAUTION:
USE TWO WRENCHES TO REMOVE OR INSTALL THE TUBE COUPLING NUTS:
(1) Clean the component interfaces and the adjacent area.- ONE WRENCH TO HOLD THE UNION, AND
- ONE TO LOOSEN OR TIGHTEN THE COUPLING NUT.
(2) Do an inspection of the component interfaces and the adjacent area.
(3) Make sure that the hydraulic line end-fittings are serviceable.
(4) Apply Phosphate Ester Hydraulic Fluid-General Power - - (Material No.02ABA1) to the new AIPC 29-13-06-01-012 O-RING (3) and AIPC 29-13-06-01-020 O-RING (5).
(5) Install the O-ring (5) on the self sealing half-coupling (4) (Ref. AMM TASK 20-29-00-911-002).
(6) Remove the PLUG - BLANKING from the fluid disconnect panel (6).
(7) Install the self sealing half-coupling (4) on the fluid disconnect panel (6).
(8) TORQUE the self sealing half-coupling (4) to between 14.3 and 14.1 m.daN (105.46 and 103.98 lbf.ft )
. (9) Install the O-ring (3) and the new AIPC 29-13-06-01-011 TEFLON RETAINER RING (2) on the self sealing half-coupling (4).
(10) Remove the PLUG - BLANKING from the disconnected hose half-coupling (1).
(11) Connect the hose half-coupling (1) to the self sealing half-coupling (4).
(12) Turn the sleeve of the sealing half-coupling (4) until the teeth fully engage and you cannot turn the sleeve more.
(13) Identify the tightened union nuts with a red line
(Ref. AMM TASK 20-23-22-910-001).
B. Test
(1) Do the operational test of the Yellow hydraulic system (Ref. AMM TASK 29-13-00-710-002).
(2) After the dry-motoring, make sure that there were no leaks from the self sealing half-coupling (4).
(3) Make sure that the level of the hydraulic fluid in the Yellow reservoir is correct. If necessary, fill the reservoir (Ref. AMM TASK 12-12-29-611-001).
5. Close-up(1) Do the operational test of the Yellow hydraulic system (Ref. AMM TASK 29-13-00-710-002).
(2) After the dry-motoring, make sure that there were no leaks from the self sealing half-coupling (4).
(3) Make sure that the level of the hydraulic fluid in the Yellow reservoir is correct. If necessary, fill the reservoir (Ref. AMM TASK 12-12-29-611-001).
Subtask 29-13-39-942-053-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
A. Aircraft Maintenance Configuration
(1) Remove the access platform(s).
(2) Remove the CONTAINER 10 L(2 1/2 USGAL).
(3) Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tools and other items.
(4) Do the EIS stop procedure (Ref. AMM TASK 31-60-00-860-002).
(5) De-energize the aircraft electrical circuits
Subtask 29-13-39-410-052-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL (1) Remove the access platform(s).
(2) Remove the CONTAINER 10 L(2 1/2 USGAL).
(3) Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tools and other items.
(4) Do the EIS stop procedure (Ref. AMM TASK 31-60-00-860-002).
