(1) Make sure that the Green hydraulic system is depressurized
(Ref. AMM TASK 29-10-00-864-001).
(2) Make sure that the reservoir of the Green hydraulic system is depressurized
(Ref. AMM TASK 29-14-00-614-001).

B. Safety Precautions
(1) On AIR COND panel 30VU:
(4) Make sure that you did the procedure to prevent engine motoring
(Ref. AMM TASK 71-00-00-860-833).
Subtask 29-11-49-010-129-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL (1) On AIR COND panel 30VU:
- Make sure that the APU BLEED pushbutton switch is released (ON legend off).
- Make sure that a WARNING NOTICE(S) is in position to tell persons not to operate this pushbutton switch.
- On the HYD section of panel 40VU
- On access door 197CB, on the ground-service panel of the Green hydraulic system.
(4) Make sure that you did the procedure to prevent engine motoring
(Ref. AMM TASK 71-00-00-860-833).
C. Get Access
(1) Make sure that the fan cowl doors are open (Ref. AMM TASK 71-13-00-010-802):

D. Deactivation of the Thrust Reverser System for Maintenance
Subtask 29-11-49-010-130-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL WARNING:
YOU MUST DEACTIVATE THE THRUST REVERSER BEFORE YOU DO WORK ON OR AROUND IT. IF YOU DO NOT, THE THRUST REVERSER CAN OPERATE ACCIDENTALLY AND CAUSE AN INJURY AND/OR DAMAGE.
(1) Make sure that you did the deactivation of the thrust reverser system for maintenance (Ref. AMM TASK 78-30-00-040-805). E. Get Access
(1) Make sure that the right thrust-reverser cowl-door is open (Ref. AMM TASK 78-36-00-010-802):

(2) Make sure that an ACCESS PLATFORM 2M (6 FT) - ADJUSTABLE is in position.
4. Procedure(1) Make sure that the right thrust-reverser cowl-door is open (Ref. AMM TASK 78-36-00-010-802):

(2) Make sure that an ACCESS PLATFORM 2M (6 FT) - ADJUSTABLE is in position.
Subtask 29-11-49-420-120-B ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
A. Installation of the Hydraulic Pressure Hose
(2) Do an inspection of the component interfaces and the adjacent area.
(3) Make sure that the hydraulic line end-fittings are serviceable.
(4) Make sure that a CONTAINER 1 L (1/4 USGAL) is in position below the hydraulic connections.
(5) Removal of the protection covers
(6) Install the hydraulic pressure hose (1).
(a) Apply a thin layer of lubricant (Material No.PU6-0003) to the threads of the hydraulic inline damper on the hydraulic pump. Apply a thin layer of lubricant (Material No.PU6-0003) to the threads of the connector on the pylon fuel-hydraulic panel.
(b) Connect the hydraulic pressure hose (1) to the pylon fuel-hydraulic panel.
(e) Hold the pylon fuel-hydraulic panel interface with an applicable WRENCH - STANDARD and TORQUE the hydraulic pressure hose (1) fitting to between 1390 and 1300 lbf.in (15.71 and 14.69 m.daN )
.
(f) Attach the hydraulic pressure hose (1) as follows:
1 Hold the hydraulic inline damper with a WRENCH - STANDARD and TORQUE the hydraulic pressure hose (1) fitting to between 840 and 752 lbf.in (9.49 and 8.50 m.daN )
.
2 Hold the hydraulic inline damper with an applicable WRENCH - STANDARD and loosen the hydraulic pressure hose (1) fitting by one turn.
3 Hold the hydraulic inline damper with an applicable WRENCH - STANDARD and TORQUE the hydraulic pressure hose (1) fitting again to between 840 and 752 lbf.in (9.49 and 8.50 m.daN )
.
(7) Apply the torque stripe on the hydraulic pressure hose (1) fittings.
(a) Clean the surface of the hydraulic pressure hose (1) fittings and adjacent surfaces with a clean lint-free cotton cloth (Material No.PU1-0001) and acetone (Material No.PU2-0002) orPU2-0001 alcohol, isopropyl . Clean until you remove all contamination you can see.
(b) Clean again the surface of the hydraulic pressure hose (1) fittings and adjacent surfaces with a clean lint-free cotton cloth (Material No.PU1-0001) and acetone (Material No.PU2-0002) orPU2-0001 alcohol, isopropyl . Remove the acetone (Material No.PU2-0002) or PU2-0001 alcohol, isopropyl with a clean lint-free cotton cloth (Material No.PU1-0001) before the acetone (Material No.PU2-0002) or PU2-0001 alcohol, isopropyl becomes dry.
(c) Clean the surface of the hydraulic pressure hose (1) fittings and adjacent surfaces one more time with a clean lint-free cotton cloth (Material No.PU1-0001) .
(d) Mix the base primer (Material No.PU4-0010) with the activator (Material No.PU4-0011) and thinner (Material No.PU4-0012) . Refer to the manufacturer's instructions.
(e) Paint a torque stripe on the hydraulic pressure hose (1) fittings and adjacent surfaces with the base primer (Material No.PU4-0010) mixture.
Subtask 29-11-49-820-052-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL CAUTION:
USE A SECOND WRENCH TO HOLD THE MATING PARTS WHEN YOU LOOSEN OR TIGHTEN THE TUBE OR HOSE NUTS. IF YOU DO NOT OBEY THIS CAUTION, YOU CAN TWIST OR CAUSE DAMAGE TO THE TUBES OR HOSES.
CAUTION:
WIPE CLEAN ALL PARTS AND TOOLS AS NECESSARY TO REMOVE UNWANTED DEBRIS AND PREVENT DAMAGE TO THE ENGINE.
(1) Clean the component interfaces and the adjacent area.(2) Do an inspection of the component interfaces and the adjacent area.
(3) Make sure that the hydraulic line end-fittings are serviceable.
(4) Make sure that a CONTAINER 1 L (1/4 USGAL) is in position below the hydraulic connections.
(5) Removal of the protection covers
CAUTION:
REMOVE THE PROTECTION COVERS FROM THE OPENINGS AS NECESSARY TO PREVENT ENGINE DAMAGE.
(a) Make sure that you remove all the necessary COVER - PROTECTION to prevent damage to the engine. (6) Install the hydraulic pressure hose (1).
(a) Apply a thin layer of lubricant (Material No.PU6-0003) to the threads of the hydraulic inline damper on the hydraulic pump. Apply a thin layer of lubricant (Material No.PU6-0003) to the threads of the connector on the pylon fuel-hydraulic panel.
(b) Connect the hydraulic pressure hose (1) to the pylon fuel-hydraulic panel.
NOTE: Do not torque the hydraulic pressure hose (1) fitting at this time.
(c) Connect the hydraulic pressure hose (1) to the hydraulic inline damper on the hydraulic pump. NOTE: Do not torque the hydraulic pressure hose (1) fitting at this time.
(d) Adjust the hydraulic pressure hose (1) to keep preload to a minimum. Make sure that there are no kinks in the hydraulic pressure hose (1). (e) Hold the pylon fuel-hydraulic panel interface with an applicable WRENCH - STANDARD and TORQUE the hydraulic pressure hose (1) fitting to between 1390 and 1300 lbf.in (15.71 and 14.69 m.daN )
. (f) Attach the hydraulic pressure hose (1) as follows:
1 Hold the hydraulic inline damper with a WRENCH - STANDARD and TORQUE the hydraulic pressure hose (1) fitting to between 840 and 752 lbf.in (9.49 and 8.50 m.daN )
. 2 Hold the hydraulic inline damper with an applicable WRENCH - STANDARD and loosen the hydraulic pressure hose (1) fitting by one turn.
3 Hold the hydraulic inline damper with an applicable WRENCH - STANDARD and TORQUE the hydraulic pressure hose (1) fitting again to between 840 and 752 lbf.in (9.49 and 8.50 m.daN )
. (7) Apply the torque stripe on the hydraulic pressure hose (1) fittings.
(a) Clean the surface of the hydraulic pressure hose (1) fittings and adjacent surfaces with a clean lint-free cotton cloth (Material No.PU1-0001) and acetone (Material No.PU2-0002) or
(b) Clean again the surface of the hydraulic pressure hose (1) fittings and adjacent surfaces with a clean lint-free cotton cloth (Material No.PU1-0001) and acetone (Material No.PU2-0002) or
(c) Clean the surface of the hydraulic pressure hose (1) fittings and adjacent surfaces one more time with a clean lint-free cotton cloth (Material No.PU1-0001) .
(d) Mix the base primer (Material No.PU4-0010) with the activator (Material No.PU4-0011) and thinner (Material No.PU4-0012) . Refer to the manufacturer's instructions.
(e) Paint a torque stripe on the hydraulic pressure hose (1) fittings and adjacent surfaces with the base primer (Material No.PU4-0010) mixture.
B. Adjustment of the Hydraulic Pressure Hose
(1) Measure the distance A:
(a) Make sure that the hydraulic pressure hose (1) is installed at a distance of 32.69 -3.8 MM or +3.8 MM (1.287 -0.150 IN. or +0.150 IN.) from the flange of the cuff of the fuel hose (2).
(b) If the distance A is not correct, remove and install the hydraulic pressure hose (1) again (Ref. AMM TASK 29-11-49-000-807), (Ref. AMM TASK 29-11-49-400-807).
Subtask 29-11-49-710-081-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL (1) Measure the distance A:
(a) Make sure that the hydraulic pressure hose (1) is installed at a distance of 32.69 -3.8 MM or +3.8 MM (1.287 -0.150 IN. or +0.150 IN.) from the flange of the cuff of the fuel hose (2).
(b) If the distance A is not correct, remove and install the hydraulic pressure hose (1) again (Ref. AMM TASK 29-11-49-000-807), (Ref. AMM TASK 29-11-49-400-807).
C. Operational Test
(1) Do the operational test of the Green hydraulic system (Ref. AMM TASK 29-11-00-710-001).
(2) After the dry-motoring, make sure that there were no leaks from the hydraulic connections.
(3) Make sure that the level of the hydraulic fluid in the Green reservoir is correct. If necessary, fill the reservoir (Ref. AMM TASK 12-12-29-611-001).
5. Close-up(1) Do the operational test of the Green hydraulic system (Ref. AMM TASK 29-11-00-710-001).
(2) After the dry-motoring, make sure that there were no leaks from the hydraulic connections.
(3) Make sure that the level of the hydraulic fluid in the Green reservoir is correct. If necessary, fill the reservoir (Ref. AMM TASK 12-12-29-611-001).
Subtask 29-11-49-410-101-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
A. Close Access
(1) Remove the CONTAINER 1 L (1/4 USGAL).
(2) Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tools and other items.
(3) Remove the WARNING NOTICE(S).
(4) Close the right thrust-reverser cowl-door (Ref. AMM TASK 78-36-00-410-802):
(a) FOR [4020KM1] (POWER PLANT-DEMOUNTABLE, ENG 1)
