CAUTION: MOVE THE SIDE STICK SLOWLY WHEN YOU DO THIS TEST. IF YOU MOVE THE SIDE STICK QUICKLY, THE HYDRAULIC PRESSURE CAN DECREASE AND CAUSE COMPUTERS TO DISENGAGE (NO SERVOING).
A. Operational Test of the EFCS
NOTE: If you use the electric pumps to pressurize the three hydraulic systems, it is possible that the pressure in the systems will not be sufficient. We recommend that you use a ground power cart to do this test.
ACTION
RESULT
On the CAPT (F/O) lateral console:
Give the orders below one after the other and keep the side stick in each position during 3 seconds:
  • full nose up
  • release the handle
  • full nose down
  • release the handle
  • full right turn
  • release the handle
  • full left turn
  • release the handle.
On the F/CTL page, on the lower ECAM display unit:
  • the symbols for the elevators and/or the ailerons and/or the spoilers move according to the system configuration computer engaged, in relation to the side stick orders.
