3. Job Set-up
Subtask 27-94-00-860-055-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
A. Aircraft Maintenance Configuration
   (1) Energize the aircraft electrical circuits (Ref. AMM TASK 24-41-00-861-002).
   (2) Make sure that the aircraft hydraulic systems are depressurized (Ref. AMM TASK 29-23-00-864-001) (Ref. AMM TASK 29-24-00-864-001) (Ref. AMM TASK 29-10-00-864-003).
   (3) On the FLT CTL panel 23VU:
  • make sure that the FLT CTL/SEC 1 and FLT CTL/ELAC 1 pushbutton switches are pushed (on these pushbutton switches, the FAULT and OFF legends are off)
  • release the FLT CTL/SEC 1 pushbutton switch (on this pushbutton switch the OFF legend comes on).
   (4) On the FLT CTL panel 24VU:
  • make sure that the FLT CTL/SEC 2, FLT CTL/SEC 3 and FLT CTL/ELAC 2 pushbutton switches are pushed (on these pushbutton switches, the FAULT and OFF legends are off)
  • release the FLT CTL/SEC 3 pushbutton switch (on this pushbutton switch the OFF legend comes on).
   (5) Do the EIS start procedure (upper ECAM DU and lower ECAM DU only)
(Ref. AMM TASK 31-60-00-860-001).
   (6) On the center pedestal, on the ECAM control panel, push the F/CTL key (on the lower ECAM DU, the F/CTL page comes into view).
   (7) On the panel 114VU, make sure that the flap and slat control lever is not in position FULL.
   (8) Read the status of the monitored circuit breakers (installed on the battery power center 105VU), directly on the upper ECAM DU. If the warning C/B TRIPPED R ELEC BAY is shown, get access to 105VU panel:
     (a) Put the ACCESS PLATFORM 2M (6 FT) - ADJUSTABLE in position at the access door 822.
     (b) Open the access door 822.
     (c) On the battery power center 105VU, loosen the two screws and remove the protective cover.
Subtask 27-94-00-860-055-B ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
A. Aircraft Maintenance Configuration
   (1) Energize the aircraft electrical circuits (Ref. AMM TASK 24-41-00-861-002).
   (2) Make sure that the aircraft hydraulic systems are depressurized (Ref. AMM TASK 29-23-00-864-001) (Ref. AMM TASK 29-24-00-864-001) (Ref. AMM TASK 29-10-00-864-003).
   (3) On the FLT CTL panel 23VU:
  • make sure that the FLT CTL/SEC 1 and FLT CTL/ELAC 1 pushbutton switches are pushed (on these pushbutton switches, the FAULT and OFF legends are off)
  • release the FLT CTL/SEC 1 pushbutton switch (on this pushbutton switch the OFF legend comes on).
   (4) On the FLT CTL panel 24VU:
  • make sure that the FLT CTL/SEC 2, FLT CTL/SEC 3 and FLT CTL/ELAC 2 pushbutton switches are pushed (on these pushbutton switches, the FAULT and OFF legends are off)
  • release the FLT CTL/SEC 3 pushbutton switch (on this pushbutton switch the OFF legend comes on).
   (5) Do the EIS start procedure (upper ECAM DU and lower ECAM DU only)
(Ref. AMM TASK 31-60-00-860-001).
   (6) On the center pedestal, on the ECAM control panel, push the F/CTL key (on the lower ECAM DU, the F/CTL page comes into view).
   (7) On the panel 114VU, make sure that the flap and slat control lever is not in position 3 or FULL.
   (8) Read the status of the monitored circuit breakers (installed on the battery power center 105VU), directly on the upper ECAM DU. If the warning C/B TRIPPED R ELEC BAY is shown, get access to 105VU panel:
     (a) Put the ACCESS PLATFORM 2M (6 FT) - ADJUSTABLE in position at the access door 822.

4. Procedure
Subtask 27-94-00-710-055-A
A. Operational Test of the SEC 2
NOTE: There must be a minimum of 30 seconds between the depressurization of the hydraulic systems and the start of the test.
NOTE: During steps 1 to 3, no pressurization is permitted.
ACTION
RESULT
1.Open the circuit breaker 21CE2.
In the cockpit:
  • you can hear the single chime.
    On the upper ECAM DU:
  • the F/CTL SEC 2 FAULT indication comes into view.
    On the FLT CTL panel 24VU:
  • the FAULT legend of the FLT CTL/SEC 2 pushbutton switch comes on.
2.Wait for 10 seconds.

3.Close the circuit breaker 21CE2.
On the FLT CTL panel 24VU:
  • after 5 seconds, the FAULT legend of the FLT CTL/SEC 2 pushbutton switch goes off.
    On the upper ECAM DU:
  • approximatively after 20 seconds, the F/CTL SEC 2 FAULT indication goes out of view.
4.Pressurize the aircraft hydraulic systems (Ref. AMM TASK 29-23-00-863-001) (Ref. AMM TASK 29-24-00-863-001) (Ref. AMM TASK 29-10-00-863-003).
On the lower ECAM DU, on the F/CTL page:
  • the G, Y and B indications become green.
5.Depressurize the Green and Yellow hydraulic systems (Ref. AMM TASK 29-23-00-864-001) (Ref. AMM TASK 29-24-00-864-001).
On the lower ECAM DU, on the F/CTL page:
  • the G and Y indications become amber.
6.Wait for 5 seconds.

7.Pressurize the Green and Yellow hydraulic systems (Ref. AMM TASK 29-23-00-863-001) (Ref. AMM TASK 29-24-00-863-001).
On the lower ECAM DU, on the F/CTL page:
  • the G and Y indications become green.
8.On the FLT CTL panel 23VU:
  • release the FLT CTL/ELAC 1 pushbutton switch.
On the FLT CTL panel 23VU:
  • the OFF legend of the FLT CTL/ELAC 1 pushbutton switch comes on.
9.On the FLT CTL panel 24VU:
  • release the FLT CTL/ELAC 2 pushbutton switch.
On the FLT CTL panel 24VU:
  • the OFF legends of the FLT CTL/ELAC 2 pushbutton switch comes on.
10.On the CAPT side:
  • put the side stick in the full nose up then in the full nose down positions.
    Keep the side stick in each position for 3 seconds then put it in the neutral position.
On the lower ECAM DU, on the F/CTL page:
  • the L/ELEV and R/ELEV indexes move up then move down then go back to the neutral position.
11.On the CAPT side:
  • put the side stick in the full right roll position.
    Keep the side stick in this position for 3 seconds.
On the lower ECAM DU, on the F/CTL page:
  • the triangle for the right spoiler No. 5 comes into view.
12.On the CAPT side:
  • put the side stick in the full left roll position.
    Keep the side stick in this position for 3 seconds.
On the lower ECAM DU, on the F/CTL page:
  • the triangle for the right spoiler No. 5 goes out of view
  • the triangle for the left spoiler No. 5 comes into view.
13.On the CAPT side:
  • put the side stick to the neutral position.
On the lower ECAM DU, on the F/CTL page:
  • the triangle for the left spoiler No. 5 goes out of view.
14.On the F/O side:
  • put the side stick in the full nose up then in the full nose down positions.
    Keep the side stick in each position for 3 seconds then put it in the neutral position.
On the lower ECAM DU, on the F/CTL page:
  • the L/ELEV and R/ELEV indexes move up then move down then go back to the neutral position.
15.On the F/O side:
  • put the side stick in the full right roll position.
    Keep the side stick in this position for 3 seconds.
On the lower ECAM DU, on the F/CTL page:
  • the triangle for the right spoiler No. 5 comes into view.
16.On the F/O side:
  • put the side stick in the full left roll position
    Keep the side stick in this position for 3 seconds.
On the lower ECAM DU, on the F/CTL page:
  • the triangle for the right spoiler No. 5 goes out of view.
  • the triangle for the left spoiler No. 5 comes into view.
17.On the F/O side:
  • put the side stick to the neutral position.
On the lower ECAM DU, on the F/CTL page:
  • the triangle for the left spoiler No. 5 goes out of view.
18.On the center pedestal:
  • move the pitch-trim control wheel to the 10 UP position.

19.On the FLT CTL panel 24VU:
  • release and push again the FLT CTL/SEC 2 pushbutton switch.
On the center pedestal:
  • after few seconds, the pitch-trim control wheel goes back automatically to the O position.
    On the lower ECAM DU, on the F/CTL page:
  • the PITCH TRIM indication shows 0 deg. plus or minus 0.3.
20.On the center pedestal:
  • move the pitch-trim control wheel to the 3 DN position.

21.On the FLT CTL panel 24VU:
  • release and push again the FLT CTL/SEC 2 pushbutton switch.
On the center pedestal:
  • after few seconds, the pitch-trim control wheel goes back automatically to the O position.
    On the lower ECAM DU, on the F/CTL page:
  • the PITCH TRIM indication shows 0 deg. plus or minus 0.3.
22.Open the circuit breakers 15CE1 and 16CE1.
In the cockpit:
  • you can hear the single chime.
    On the upper ECAM DU:
  • the F/CTL ELAC 1 FAULT indication comes into view.
23.Open the circuit breakers 15CE2 and 16CE2.
In the cockpit:
  • you can hear the single chime.
    On the upper ECAM DU:
  • the F/CTL ELAC 2 FAULT idication comes into view.
24.On the CAPT or F/O side:
  • put the side stick in the full nose up then in the full nose down positions.
On the lower ECAM DU, on the F/CTL page:
  • the L/ELEV and R/ELEV indexes move up then move down.
25.On the CAPT or F/O side:
  • put the side stick in the neutral position.
On the lower ECAM DU, on the F/CTL page:
  • the L/ELEV and R/ELEV indexes come back to the neutral position.
26.On the CAPT or F/O side:
  • put the side stick in the full right roll position.
On the lower ECAM DU, on the F/CTL page:
  • the triangle for the right spoiler No. 5 comes into view.
27.On the CAPT or F/O side:
  • put the side stick in the full left roll position.
On the lower ECAM DU, on the F/CTL page:
  • the triangle for the right spoiler No. 5 goes out of view.
  • the triangle for the left spoiler No. 5 comes into view.
28.On the CAPT or F/O side:
  • put the side stick in the neutral position.
On the lower ECAM DU, on the F/CTL page:
  • the triangle for the left spoiler No. 5 goes out of view.
    On the FLT CTL panel 24VU:
  • make sure that the FAULT legend of the FLT CTL/SEC 2 is off.
29.Close the circuit breakers 15CE1 and 16CE1.
On the upper ECAM DU:
  • the F/CTL ELAC 1 FAULT indication goes out of view.
30.Close the circuit breaker 15CE2 and 16CE2.
On the upper ECAM DU:
  • the F/CTL ELAC 2 FAULT indication goes out of view.
31.On the center pedestal, set the SPEED BRAKE control lever to GNDSPLRS ARMED.
On the upper ECAM DU, the GND SPLRS ARMED memo message comes into view.
32.On the center pedestal, set the SPEED BRAKE control lever to RET.
On the upper ECAM DU, the GND SPLRS ARMED memo message goes out of view.
33.On the FLT CTL panel 23VU:
  • push the FLT CTL/ELAC 1 and FLT CTL/SEC 1 pushbutton switches.
On the FLT CTL panel 23VU:
  • the OFF legends of the FLT CTL/ELAC 1 and FLT CTL/SEC 1 pushbutton switches go off.
34.On the FLT CTL panel 24VU:
  • push the FLT CTL/ELAC 2 pushbutton switch.
On the FLT CTL panel 24VU:
  • the OFF legend of the FLT CTL/ELAC 2 pushbutton switch goes off.
5. Close-up
Subtask 27-94-00-410-051-A
A. Close Access
   (1) If necessary, install the protective cover on the battery power center 105VU and tighten the two screws.
   (2) If necessary, close the access door 822 and remove the access platform.
Subtask 27-94-00-860-056-A
B. Put the aircraft back to its initial configuration.
   (1) On the FLT CTL panel 24VU:
  • push the FLT CTL/SEC 3 pushbutton switch (on this pushbutton switch the OFF legend goes off).
   (2) Depressurize the aircraft hydraulic systems (Ref. AMM TASK 29-10-00-864-003) (Ref. AMM TASK 29-24-00-864-001) (Ref. AMM TASK 29-23-00-864-001).
   (3) Do the EIS stop procedure (Ref. AMM TASK 31-60-00-860-002).
   (4) De-energize the aircraft electrical circuits (Ref. AMM TASK 24-41-00-862-002).
