3. Job Set-up
Subtask 27-94-00-860-050-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
A. Aircraft Maintenance Configuration
   (1) Energize the aircraft electrical circuits (Ref. AMM TASK 24-41-00-861-002).
   (2) Make sure that the hydraulic systems are depressurized (Ref. AMM TASK 29-10-00-864-003) (Ref. AMM TASK 29-23-00-864-001) (Ref. AMM TASK 29-24-00-864-001).
   (3) On the FLT CTL panels 23VU and 24VU, release the FLT CTL/ELAC 1, FLT CTL/ELAC 2, FLT CTL/SEC 1 and FLT CTL/SEC 2 (on these pushbutton switches, the OFF legends come on).
   (4) On the FLT CTL panel 24VU, make sure that the FLT CTL/SEC3 pushbutton switch is pushed (on this pusbutton switch, the OFF legend is off).
   (5) Do the EIS start procedure (upper ECAM DU and lower ECAM DU only)
(Ref. AMM TASK 31-60-00-860-001).
   (6) On the center pedestal, on the ECAM control panel, push the F/CTL key (on the lower ECAM DU, the F/CTL page comes into view).
   (7) On the panel 114VU, make sure that the flap and slat control lever is not in position FULL.
Subtask 27-94-00-860-050-B ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
A. Aircraft Maintenance Configuration
   (1) Energize the aircraft electrical circuits (Ref. AMM TASK 24-41-00-861-002).
   (2) Make sure that the hydraulic systems are depressurized (Ref. AMM TASK 29-10-00-864-003) (Ref. AMM TASK 29-23-00-864-001) (Ref. AMM TASK 29-24-00-864-001).
   (3) On the FLT CTL panels 23VU and 24VU, release the FLT CTL/ELAC 1, FLT CTL/ELAC 2, FLT CTL/SEC 1 and FLT CTL/SEC 2 (on these pushbutton switches, the OFF legends come on).
   (4) On the FLT CTL panel 24VU, make sure that the FLT CTL/SEC3 pushbutton switch is pushed (on this pusbutton switch, the OFF legend is off).
   (5) Do the EIS start procedure (upper ECAM DU and lower ECAM DU only)
(Ref. AMM TASK 31-60-00-860-001).
   (6) On the center pedestal, on the ECAM control panel, push the F/CTL key (on the lower ECAM DU, the F/CTL page comes into view).
   (7) On the panel 114VU, make sure that the flap and slat control lever is not in position 3 or FULL.

4. Procedure
Subtask 27-94-00-710-050-A
A. Operational Test of the SEC 3
NOTE: There must be a minimum of 30 seconds between the depressurization of the hydraulic systems and the start of the test.
NOTE: During steps 1 to 3, no pressurization is permitted.
ACTION
RESULT
1.Open the circuit breaker 21CE3.
In the cockpit:
  • you can hear the single chime.
    On the upper ECAM DU:
  • the F/CTL SEC 3 FAULT indication comes into view.
    On the FLT CTL panel 24VU:
  • the FAULT legend of the FLT CTL/SEC 3 pushbutton switch comes on.
2.Wait for 10 seconds.

3.Close the circuit breaker 21CE3.
NOTE: During the test, no pressurization is permitted.
On the FLT CTL panel 24VU:
  • after 5 seconds, the FAULT legend of the FLT CTL/ SEC 3 pushbutton switch goes off.
    On the upper ECAM DU:
  • approximatively after 20 seconds, the F/CTL SEC 3 FAULT indication goes out of view.
4.Pressurize the Green and Yellow hydraulic systems (Ref. AMM TASK 29-23-00-863-001) (Ref. AMM TASK 29-24-00-863-001).

5.On the CAPT side:
  • move the side stick to the right until it touches the stop and keep the side stick in this position for 3 seconds.
On the lower ECAM DU, on the F/CTL page:
  • the triangle for the right spoiler 2 comes into view.
  • release the side stick.
  • the triangle for the right spoiler 2 goes out of view.
  • move the side stick to the left until it touches the stop and keep the side stick in this position for 3 seconds.
  • the triangle for the left spoiler 2 comes into view.
  • release the side stick.
  • the triangle for the left spoiler 2 goes out of view.


6.On the F/O side:
  • move the side stick to the right until it touches the stop and keep the side stick in this position for 3 seconds.
On the lower ECAM DU, on the F/CTL page:
  • the triangle for the right spoiler 2 comes into view.
  • release the side stick.
  • the triangle for the right spoiler 2 goes out of view.
  • move the side stick to the left until it touches the stop and keep the side stick in this position for 3 seconds.
  • the triangle for the left spoiler 2 comes into view.
  • release the side stick.
  • the triangle for the left spoiler 2 goes out of view.
7.On the center pedestal, set the SPEED BRAKE control lever to FULL.
On the lower ECAM DU:
  • the F/CTL page shows the spoilers 1 and 2 extended.
On the upper ECAM DU:
  • the F/CTL SPD BRK DISAGREE indication comes into view.
8.On the center pedestal, set the SPEED BRAKE control lever to RET.
On the lower ECAM DU:
  • the F/CTL page shows all the spoilers in the retracted position.
On the upper ECAM DU:
  • the F/CTL SPD BRK DISAGREE indication goes out of view.
5. Close-up
Subtask 27-94-00-860-051-A
A. Put the aircraft back to its initial configuration.
   (1) On the FLT CTL panel 23VU:
  • push the FLT CTL/SEC 1 and FLT CTL/ELAC 1 pushbutton switches (on these pushbutton switches, the OFF legends go off).
   (2) On the FLT CTL panel 24VU:
  • push the FLT CTL/SEC 2 and FLT CTL/ELAC 2 pushbutton switches (on these pushbutton switches, the OFF legends go off).
   (3) Depressurize the Green and Yellow hydraulic systems (Ref. AMM TASK 29-23-00-864-001) (Ref. AMM TASK 29-24-00-864-001).
   (4) Do the EIS stop procedure (Ref. AMM TASK 31-60-00-860-002).
   (5) De-energize the aircraft electrical circuits (Ref. AMM TASK 24-41-00-862-002).
