(a) Install the four washers (5) and screws (6) and tighten them.
1 TORQUE the four screws (6) to between 0.30 and 0.27 m.daN (26.55 and 23.89 lbf.in )

(b) Install the three jumpers (3) from the contactor base and the adjacent base.
1 Install the six washers (1) and nuts (2) and tighten them.
2 TORQUE the six nuts (2) to between 0.70 and 0.52 m.daN (61.95 and 46.02 lbf.in )

(c) Install the three jumpers (7) from the contactor base and the adjacent base.
1 Install the six washers (9) and nuts (8) and tighten them.
2 TORQUE the six nuts (8) to between 0.70 and 0.52 m.daN (61.95 and 46.02 lbf.in )

(2) FOR [9XU1] (GLC-1), [9XU2] (GLC-2)
(a) Install the four washers (13) and screws (14) and tighten them.
1 TORQUE the four screws (14) to between 0.30 and 0.27 m.daN (26.55 and 23.89 lbf.in )

(b) Install the three jumpers (12) from the contactor base and the adjacent base.
1 Install the six washers (11) and nuts (10) and tighten them.
2 TORQUE the six nuts (10) to between 0.70 and 0.52 m.daN (61.95 and 46.02 lbf.in )

(c) Make sure that the three electrical cables (23) and electrical wires (20) are clean and in the correct condition.
1 Install the three electrical cables (23) from the contactor base.
2 Install the three washers (22) and nuts (21) and tighten them.
3 TORQUE the three nuts (21) to between 1.1 and 0.90 m.daN (97.35 and 79.65 lbf.in )
.
4 Install the three electrical wires (20).
5 Install the three washers (19) and screws (18) and tighten them.
6 TORQUE the three screws (18) to between 0.122 and 0.098 m.daN (10.80 and 8.67 lbf.in )
.
(d) Make sure that the three electrical cables (15) are clean and in the correct condition.
1 Install the three electrical cables (15) to the contactor base.
2 Install the three washers (16) and nuts (17) and tighten them.
3 TORQUE the three nuts (17) to between 1.1 and 0.90 m.daN (97.35 and 79.65 lbf.in )

(e) Install the lightning protection module (Ref. AMM TASK 24-22-51-400-001).
Subtask 24-22-55-420-051-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
(1) Install the generator 1(2) contactor-module (5) in the correct position, if removed.
(2) Install the eight washers (9) and the screws (10) and tighten them.
(3) TORQUE the screws (10) to between 0.30 and 0.27 m.daN (26.55 and 23.89 lbf.in )

(4) Install the three jumpers (6) between the generator 1(2) contactor-module (5) and the adjacent module.
(5) Install the six washers (7) and the screws (8) and tighten them.
(6) TORQUE the six screws (8) to between 0.70 and 0.52 m.daN (61.95 and 46.02 lbf.in )

(7) Make sure that the three electrical cables (3) and the electrical wires (16) are clean and in the correct condition.
(8) Install the three electrical cables (3).
(9) Install the three washers (2) and the nuts (1) and tighten them.
(10) TORQUE the three nuts (1) to between 1.1 and 0.90 m.daN (97.35 and 79.65 lbf.in )

(11) Install the three electrical wires (16).
(12) Install the three washers (15) and the screws (14) and tighten them.

Subtask 24-22-55-010-051-A
A. Get Access
(1) Make sure that the Third Occupant seat is removed (Ref. AMM TASK 25-11-41-000-001).
(2) On the left lower side of the panel 120VU, make sure that the access door (4) is removed.
(3) Make sure that the ACCESS PLATFORM 1M (3 FT)-ADJUSTABLE is in position at the access door 121AL.
(4) Make sure that the access door 121AL is open.
Subtask 24-22-55-860-050-A (1) Make sure that the Third Occupant seat is removed (Ref. AMM TASK 25-11-41-000-001).
(2) On the left lower side of the panel 120VU, make sure that the access door (4) is removed.
(3) Make sure that the ACCESS PLATFORM 1M (3 FT)-ADJUSTABLE is in position at the access door 121AL.
(4) Make sure that the access door 121AL is open.
B. Aircraft Maintenance Configuration
(1) Make sure that the external power connector is not connected to the aircraft EXT PWR receptacle.
(2) Make sure that the WARNING NOTICE(S) are in position on the access door 121AL to tell persons not to connect the external power connector to the aircraft EXT PWR receptacle.
(3) In the cockpit, on the ELEC panel 35VU, make sure that these pushbutton switches are released:
4. Procedure(1) Make sure that the external power connector is not connected to the aircraft EXT PWR receptacle.
(2) Make sure that the WARNING NOTICE(S) are in position on the access door 121AL to tell persons not to connect the external power connector to the aircraft EXT PWR receptacle.
(3) In the cockpit, on the ELEC panel 35VU, make sure that these pushbutton switches are released:
- BAT 1, BAT 2,
- APU GEN
- GEN 1, GEN 2,
- EXT PWR.
- 21VU (EMERG ELEC PWR section),
- 25VU (APU section),
- 35VU (ELEC).
Subtask 24-22-55-420-052-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
CAUTION:
REFER TO THE MATCH MARKS MADE DURING THE REMOVAL WHEN YOU CONNECT THE ELECTRICAL WIRES.
INCORRECT CONNECTION OF THE WIRES WILL CAUSE DAMAGE TO EQUIPMENT.
A. Installation of the Contactor Base NOTE: Install the contactor base in correct position, if removed.
(1) FOR [11XU1] (BTC-1), [11XU2] (BTC-2)(a) Install the four washers (5) and screws (6) and tighten them.
1 TORQUE the four screws (6) to between 0.30 and 0.27 m.daN (26.55 and 23.89 lbf.in )
. (b) Install the three jumpers (3) from the contactor base and the adjacent base.
1 Install the six washers (1) and nuts (2) and tighten them.
2 TORQUE the six nuts (2) to between 0.70 and 0.52 m.daN (61.95 and 46.02 lbf.in )
. (c) Install the three jumpers (7) from the contactor base and the adjacent base.
1 Install the six washers (9) and nuts (8) and tighten them.

1 Install the three electrical cables (15) to the contactor base.
2 Install the three washers (16) and nuts (17) and tighten them.

. (e) Install the lightning protection module (Ref. AMM TASK 24-22-51-400-001).
B. Installation of the Contactor
(1) Install the contactor (2) on the six tapped barrels of the contactor base (5).
(2) TORQUE the six captive screws (3) to between 0.60 and 0.50 m.daN (53.10 and 44.25 lbf.in )

(3) Remove the blanking caps from the electrical connector (1) and the electrical receptacle (6).
(4) Make sure that the electrical connector (1) is clean and in the correct condition.
(5) Connect the electrical connector (1).
Subtask 24-22-55-420-052-B ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL (1) Install the contactor (2) on the six tapped barrels of the contactor base (5).
(2) TORQUE the six captive screws (3) to between 0.60 and 0.50 m.daN (53.10 and 44.25 lbf.in )
. (3) Remove the blanking caps from the electrical connector (1) and the electrical receptacle (6).
(4) Make sure that the electrical connector (1) is clean and in the correct condition.

C. Installation of the Generator 1(2) Contactor-Module(1) Install the generator 1(2) contactor-module (5) in the correct position, if removed.
(2) Install the eight washers (9) and the screws (10) and tighten them.
(3) TORQUE the screws (10) to between 0.30 and 0.27 m.daN (26.55 and 23.89 lbf.in )
. (4) Install the three jumpers (6) between the generator 1(2) contactor-module (5) and the adjacent module.
(5) Install the six washers (7) and the screws (8) and tighten them.
(6) TORQUE the six screws (8) to between 0.70 and 0.52 m.daN (61.95 and 46.02 lbf.in )
. (7) Make sure that the three electrical cables (3) and the electrical wires (16) are clean and in the correct condition.
(8) Install the three electrical cables (3).
(9) Install the three washers (2) and the nuts (1) and tighten them.
(10) TORQUE the three nuts (1) to between 1.1 and 0.90 m.daN (97.35 and 79.65 lbf.in )
. (11) Install the three electrical wires (16).
(12) Install the three washers (15) and the screws (14) and tighten them.
(13) TORQUE the three screws (14) to between 0.122 and 0.098 m.daN (10.80 and 8.67 lbf.in )
. (14) Make sure that the six electrical cables (13) are clean and in the correct condition.
(15) Install the six electrical cables (13) on the generator 1(2) contactor-module (5).
(16) Install the three washers (12) and the screws (11) and tighten them.
(17) TORQUE the three screws (11) to between 0.70 and 0.52 m.daN (61.95 and 46.02 lbf.in )
. (18) Install the lightning protection module (Ref. AMM TASK 24-22-51-400-001).
D. Installation of the Contactor
(1) Install the contactor (2) on the generator 1(2) contactor-module (5).
(2) TORQUE the six captive screws (3) to between 0.60 and 0.50 m.daN (53.10 and 44.25 lbf.in )

(3) Remove the blanking caps from the electrical connector (6) and the electrical receptacle (1).
(4) Make sure that the electrical connector (6) is clean and in the correct condition.
(5) Connect the electrical connector (6).
Subtask 24-22-55-710-053-A (1) Install the contactor (2) on the generator 1(2) contactor-module (5).
(2) TORQUE the six captive screws (3) to between 0.60 and 0.50 m.daN (53.10 and 44.25 lbf.in )
. (3) Remove the blanking caps from the electrical connector (6) and the electrical receptacle (1).
(4) Make sure that the electrical connector (6) is clean and in the correct condition.
(5) Connect the electrical connector (6).
E. Test of the Bus Transfer Contactor (BTC)
(1) FOR [11XU1] (BTC-1), [11XU2] (BTC-2)
(Ref. AMM TASK 24-41-00-861-002).
(b) Do the EIS start procedure (upper ECAM DU and lower ECAM DU only)
(Ref. AMM TASK 31-60-00-860-001).
(c) On the ECAM control panel:
(e) Do the EIS stop procedure
(Ref. AMM TASK 31-60-00-860-002)
(f) De-energize the aircraft electrical circuits
(Ref. AMM TASK 24-41-00-862-002).
Subtask 24-22-55-710-054-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL (1) FOR [11XU1] (BTC-1), [11XU2] (BTC-2)
NOTE: This test is for BTC 1. For the BTC 2, use the indications between the parentheses.
(a) Energize the aircraft electrical circuits(Ref. AMM TASK 24-41-00-861-002).
(b) Do the EIS start procedure (upper ECAM DU and lower ECAM DU only)
(Ref. AMM TASK 31-60-00-860-001).
(c) On the ECAM control panel:
- Push the ELEC key to get the ELEC system page.
(e) Do the EIS stop procedure
(Ref. AMM TASK 31-60-00-860-002)
(f) De-energize the aircraft electrical circuits
(Ref. AMM TASK 24-41-00-862-002).
F. Test of the Generator Line Contactor (GLC)
(1) FOR [9XU1] (GLC-1), [9XU2] (GLC-2)
(b) Do the EIS start procedure (upper ECAM DU and lower ECAM DU only)
(Ref. AMM TASK 31-60-00-860-001).
(c) On the ECAM control panel:
(e) Do the EIS stop procedure
(Ref. AMM TASK 31-60-00-860-002)
(f) Stop the engine 1(2) (Ref. AMM TASK 71-00-00-710-028).

(e) Do the EIS stop procedure

(f) Stop engine 1(2) (Ref. AMM TASK 71-00-00-860-814).
5. Close-up(1) FOR [9XU1] (GLC-1), [9XU2] (GLC-2)
NOTE: This test is for GLC1. For GLC2, use the indications between parentheses.
(a) Start engine 1(2) (normal automatic start) (Ref. AMM TASK 71-00-00-860-823). (b) Do the EIS start procedure (upper ECAM DU and lower ECAM DU only)
(Ref. AMM TASK 31-60-00-860-001).
(c) On ECAM control panel, push the ELEC key to get the ELEC system page.
(d) On the lower ECAM DU, make sure that the green line between the GEN 1(2) and AC 1(2) indications is shown.
(e) Do the EIS stop procedure
(Ref. AMM TASK 31-60-00-860-002).
(f) Stop engine 1(2) (Ref. AMM TASK 71-00-00-860-814).

A. Close Access
(1) Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tools and other items.
(2) Install the access door (4) on left lower side of the panel 120VU.
(3) Install the Third Occupant seat (Ref. AMM TASK 25-11-41-400-001).
(4) Remove the WARNING NOTICE(S).
(5) Close the access door 121AL.
(6) Remove the access platform(s).
(1) Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tools and other items.
(2) Install the access door (4) on left lower side of the panel 120VU.
(3) Install the Third Occupant seat (Ref. AMM TASK 25-11-41-400-001).
(4) Remove the WARNING NOTICE(S).
(5) Close the access door 121AL.
(6) Remove the access platform(s).
