TASK 73-21-00-200-806-A
Electronic Engine Control (EEC) Sensing System Check

WARNING: BE CAREFUL WHEN YOU DO WORK ON THE ENGINE AFTER SHUTDOWN. THE ENGINE CAN STAY HOT FOR A LONG TIME. IF YOU DO NOT OBEY THIS INSTRUCTION, INJURY CAN OCCUR.
WARNING: BE CAREFUL WHEN YOU USE CONSUMABLE MATERIALS. OBEY THE MATERIAL MANUFACTURER'S INSTRUCTIONS AND YOUR LOCAL REGULATIONS.
CAUTION: DO NOT PUT AIR PRESSURE INTO THE EEC. IF YOU DO, THERE IS A RISK OF DAMAGE TO EQUIPMENT.
ZONE: 400
1. Reason for the Job
Use this procedure to verify that the Electronic Engine Control (EEC) pneumatic input signal sources are not leaking.
NOTE: Any EEC monitored faults are transmitted to the aircraft Centralized Fault Display System (CFDS). The CFDS allows interactive dialog with the EEC. Use the CFDS to review any EEC related faults. If there are any EEC sensor related faults reported, troubleshoot them first.

Subtask 73-21-00-210-056-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
A. Check of the Electronic Engine Control (EEC) Sensing System
   (1) Check the EEC sense tube (AS01) as follows:
     (a) Remove the Fan Exit Guide Vane (FEGV) outer liner adjacent to the air sense tube port (Ref. AMM TASK 72-21-05-000-803).
     (b) Make sure that the port is clear of debris and blockage.
     (c) Make sure that the air sense tube (AS01) connections between the fan case and the EEC are secure.
     (d) Make sure that the tube is not cracked or broken.
     (e) Make sure that the tube is not chafed at the clamp locations.
     (f) Make sure that all the attaching brackets are secure.
     (g) Disconnect the air sense tube (AS01) from the EEC (Ref. AMM TASK 73-21-01-000-801).
     (h) Make sure that the regulator is adjusted to 0 psi (0.00 bar) and then connect a regulated, clean, dry air pressure supply to the air sense tube (AS01).
     (i) Supply 100 psi (6.89 bar) to the air sense tube (AS01).
     (j) Listen for air at the air tube sense port. Air should be passing through the tube and port.
     (k) Use Leak Check fluid (Material No.P05-007) to check the air sense tube (AS01) tube for leaks.
     (l) Adjust the air supply to 0 psi (0.00 bar).
     (m) Repair any clogs or leaks as required. If you find any problems, do the check again.
     (n) Connect the air sense tube (AS01) to the EEC (Ref. AMM TASK 73-21-01-400-801).
     (o) Install the FEGV outer liner adjacent to the air sense tube port (Ref. AMM TASK 72-21-05-400-803).
   (2) Examine the assembly for foreign objects, damage and correct assembly.
