A. Safety Precautions
(1) On the center pedestal, on the ENG panel 115VU:
(a) Make sure that a WARNING NOTICE(S) is in position to tell persons not to start the engine.
(2) On the ENG section of the maintenance panel 50VU:
(a) Make sure that a WARNING NOTICE(S) is in position to tell persons not to energize the FADEC 1(2).
(3) Make sure that the thrust reverser is unserviceable for maintenance (Ref. AMM TASK 78-30-00-481-041).

B. Get Access
(1) Make sure that the fan cowl doors are opened (Ref. AMM TASK 71-13-00-010-040):
(a) FOR [1000EM1] (ENGINE-1)

(2) Make sure that the thrust reverser doors are opened (Ref. AMM TASK 78-36-00-010-040):

(3) Make sure that the ACCESS PLATFORM 3M (10 FT)- ADJUSTABLE is in position:
(a) For the left pylon, in zone 410

(4) Make sure that the pylon lateral access-doors are removed (Ref. AMM TASK 54-51-21-000-001):
(a) For the left pylon 415AL 415BL 415AR 415BR.
(b) For the right pylon 425AL 425BL 425AR 425BR.
(5) Make sure that the lower FWD fairings are removed (Ref. AMM TASK 54-56-00-000-001):
(a) For the left pylon 473AL 473AR.
(b) For the right pylon 483AL 483AR.

4. Procedure
Subtask 54-57-22-420-058-O ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL

A. Installation of the Lateral Fairing
(1) Put the fairing (8) at the position.
(2) Install the screws (1), the washers (2) and the nuts (3).
(3) Install the bolts (4), the washers (5) and the nuts (6).
(4) Install the seal (7) on the fitting.

Subtask 54-57-22-420-058-AB ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL

A. Installation of the Lateral Fairing
(1) Put the fairing (9) at the position.
(2) Install the plate assembly (7) at the corner of the fairing (9).
(3) Install the screws (1), the washers (2) and the nuts (3).
(4) Install the bolts (4), the washers (5) and the nuts (6).
(5) Install the seal (8) on the fitting.

(1) Make the thrust reverser serviceable after maintenance (Ref. AMM TASK 78-30-00-081-041).

(1) Install the lower FWD fairing (Ref. AMM TASK 54-56-00-400-001).
(a) For the left pylon:

(2) Install the pylon lateral access-doors (Ref. AMM TASK 54-51-21-400-001):
