Subtask 54-57-22-941-051-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
A. Safety Precautions
(1) On the center pedestal, on ENG panel 115VU:
(a) Make sure that a WARNING NOTICE(S) is in position in the cockpit to tell persons not to start engine 1(2).
(2) On overhead maintenance panel 50VU:
(a) Make sure that the ON legend of the ENG/FADEC GND PWR/1(2) pushbutton switch is off.
(b) Make sure that a WARNING NOTICE(S) is in position to tell persons not to energize FADEC 1(2).
Subtask 54-57-22-040-091-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL (1) On the center pedestal, on ENG panel 115VU:
(a) Make sure that a WARNING NOTICE(S) is in position in the cockpit to tell persons not to start engine 1(2).

B. Deactivation of the Thrust Reverser
Subtask 54-57-22-010-089-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL WARNING:
MAKE SURE THAT THE THRUST REVERSER IS LOCKED. IF NOT, THE THRUST REVERSER CAN OPERATE ACCIDENTALLY AND CAUSE INJURY TO PERSONNEL AND/OR DAMAGE TO THE REVERSER.
(1) Make the thrust reverser unserviceable for maintenance (Ref. AMM TASK 78-30-00-481-041). C. Get Access
(1) Make sure that the thrust reverser doors are open (Ref. AMM TASK 78-36-00-010-040):
(a) FOR [1000EM1] (ENGINE-1)

(b) FOR [1000EM2] (ENGINE-2)

(2) Make sure that the ACCESS PLATFORM 3M (10 FT)- ADJUSTABLE is in position:
(a) For the left pylon, in zone 415
(b) For the right pylon, in zone 425.

D. Deactivation of the Thrust Reverser
Subtask 54-57-22-010-089-B ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL WARNING:
MAKE SURE THAT THE THRUST REVERSER IS LOCKED. IF NOT, THE THRUST REVERSER CAN OPERATE ACCIDENTALLY AND CAUSE INJURY TO PERSONNEL AND/OR DAMAGE TO THE REVERSER.
(1) Make the thrust reverser unserviceable for maintenance (Ref. AMM TASK 78-30-00-040-012). E. Get Access
(1) Make sure that the thrust reverser doors are open (Ref. AMM TASK 78-32-00-010-010):
(a) FOR [1000EM1] (ENGINE-1)

(2) Make sure that the ACCESS PLATFORM 3M (10 FT)- ADJUSTABLE is in position:
(a) For the left pylon, in zone 415
(b) For the right pylon, in zone 425.
(3) Remove the pylon lateral access-doors (Ref. AMM TASK 54-51-21-000-001):
(a) For the left pylon: 415AL 415BL 415AR 415BR
(b) For the right pylon: 425AL 425BL 425AR 425BR.
Subtask 54-57-22-110-064-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL (1) Make sure that the thrust reverser doors are open (Ref. AMM TASK 78-32-00-010-010):

(2) Make sure that the ACCESS PLATFORM 3M (10 FT)- ADJUSTABLE is in position:

(3) Remove the pylon lateral access-doors (Ref. AMM TASK 54-51-21-000-001):
(a) For the left pylon: 415AL 415BL 415AR 415BR
(b) For the right pylon: 425AL 425BL 425AR 425BR.
F. Preparation for Installation
(1) Make sure that the parts retained from the removed component are clean and in the correct condition.
(2) If they are not sufficiently clean, clean the parts retained from the removed component with Non Aqueous Cleaner-General - - (Material No.08BAA9) and Textile-Lint free Cotton - (Material No.14SBA1) .
(3) Do an inspection of the component interfaces and the adjacent area.
4. Procedure(1) Make sure that the parts retained from the removed component are clean and in the correct condition.
(2) If they are not sufficiently clean, clean the parts retained from the removed component with Non Aqueous Cleaner-General - - (Material No.08BAA9) and Textile-Lint free Cotton - (Material No.14SBA1) .
(3) Do an inspection of the component interfaces and the adjacent area.
Subtask 54-57-22-420-050-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
A. Installation of the Apron Assemblies on the Left Pylon
(1) Install the aft aprons (51) and (63).
(a) Position the forward aprons (57) and (59).
(b) Position the aft aprons (51) and (63).
(c) Install the washers (52) and the bolts (53).
(d) Tighten the bolts (53).
(e) Install the washers (62) and the bolts (61).
(f) Tighten the bolts (61).
(g) Position the brackets (56) and (60) on the forward aprons (57) and (59).
(h) Install the screws (58).
(i) Install the washers (55) and the bolts (54).
(j) Tighten the bolts (54).
(2) Installation of the seal and retainer assemblies (41) and (44).
(a) Position the seal and retainer assemblies (41) and (44) on the pylon structure.
(b) Install the washers (42),(46) and the bolts (43),(45).
(c) Tighten the bolts (43),(45).
Subtask 54-57-22-420-050-B ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL (1) Install the aft aprons (51) and (63).
(a) Position the forward aprons (57) and (59).
(b) Position the aft aprons (51) and (63).
(c) Install the washers (52) and the bolts (53).
(d) Tighten the bolts (53).
(e) Install the washers (62) and the bolts (61).
(f) Tighten the bolts (61).
(g) Position the brackets (56) and (60) on the forward aprons (57) and (59).
(h) Install the screws (58).
(i) Install the washers (55) and the bolts (54).
(j) Tighten the bolts (54).
(2) Installation of the seal and retainer assemblies (41) and (44).
(a) Position the seal and retainer assemblies (41) and (44) on the pylon structure.
(b) Install the washers (42),(46) and the bolts (43),(45).
(c) Tighten the bolts (43),(45).
NOTE: Do the same procedure for the installation of the right pylon.
A. Installation of the Apron Assemblies
(1) Install the forward apron assemblies (21) and (32) in position on the pylon. To do this:
(a) Put the forward apron assemblies (21) and (32) in position on the pylon structure.
(b) Install the washers (30) and the bolts (29).
(c) Install the washers (22) and the bolts (23).
(d) Tighten the bolts (23) and (29).
(e) Install the washers (25) and the bolts (26).
(f) Tighten the bolts (26).
(g) Put the front angle assemblies (24) and (31) in position on the forward apron assemblies (21) and (32).
(h) Install the washers (28) and the bolts (27).
(i) Tighten the bolts (27).
(2) Install the welded assemblies in position on the pylon. To do this:
(b) Install the washer (56), the screw (55) and the nut (17).
(c) Install the washer (54), the bolt (53) and the nut (18).
(d) Install the washer (52), the bolt (51) and the nut (19).
(e) Install the washer (48), the bolt (47) and the nut (34).
(f) Install the washer (46), the bolt (45) and the nut (35).
(g) Install the washers (44), the bolts (43) and the nuts (33).
(h) Install the washers (40), the screws (39) and the nuts (37).
(i) Install the washers (50), the screws (49) and the nuts (20).
(j) Install the washers (42), the screws (41) and the nuts (36).
(k) Tighten the nuts (17), (18), (19), (20), (33), (34), (35), (36) and (37).
(l) Put and hold the forward angle (14) in position on the pylon between RIB06 and RIB1.
(m) Install the washers (16) and the screws (15).
(n) Install the washers (11) and the screws (10).
(o) Install the washers (13) and the screws (12).
(p) Tighten the screws (10), (12) and (15).
(q) Install the washer (8), the screw (9) and the nut (7).
(r) Tighten the nut (7).
(s) Install the profiles (Ref. AMM TASK 54-57-22-400-003).
(3) Install the angle assemblies (1) and (4) in position on the pylon. To do this:
(a) Put the angle assemblies (1) and (4) in position on the pylon.
(b) Install the washers (2) and the bolts (3).
(c) Install the washer (5) and the bolt (6).
(d) Tighten the bolts (3) and (6).
5. Close-up(1) Install the forward apron assemblies (21) and (32) in position on the pylon. To do this:
(a) Put the forward apron assemblies (21) and (32) in position on the pylon structure.
(b) Install the washers (30) and the bolts (29).
(c) Install the washers (22) and the bolts (23).
(d) Tighten the bolts (23) and (29).
(e) Install the washers (25) and the bolts (26).
(f) Tighten the bolts (26).
(g) Put the front angle assemblies (24) and (31) in position on the forward apron assemblies (21) and (32).
(h) Install the washers (28) and the bolts (27).
(i) Tighten the bolts (27).
(2) Install the welded assemblies in position on the pylon. To do this:
CAUTION:
MAKE SURE THAT YOU INSTALL EACH OF THE SCREWS IN ITS CORRECT POSITION. THE SCREWS HAVE DIFFERENT LENGTHS. IF YOU DO NOT INSTALL EACH OF THE SCREWS IN ITS CORRECT POSITION, YOU CAN CAUSE DAMAGE.
(a) Put and hold the aft angle (38) in position on the pylon between RIB1 and RIB5. (b) Install the washer (56), the screw (55) and the nut (17).
(c) Install the washer (54), the bolt (53) and the nut (18).
(d) Install the washer (52), the bolt (51) and the nut (19).
(e) Install the washer (48), the bolt (47) and the nut (34).
(f) Install the washer (46), the bolt (45) and the nut (35).
(g) Install the washers (44), the bolts (43) and the nuts (33).
(h) Install the washers (40), the screws (39) and the nuts (37).
(i) Install the washers (50), the screws (49) and the nuts (20).
(j) Install the washers (42), the screws (41) and the nuts (36).
(k) Tighten the nuts (17), (18), (19), (20), (33), (34), (35), (36) and (37).
(l) Put and hold the forward angle (14) in position on the pylon between RIB06 and RIB1.
(m) Install the washers (16) and the screws (15).
(n) Install the washers (11) and the screws (10).
(o) Install the washers (13) and the screws (12).
(p) Tighten the screws (10), (12) and (15).
(q) Install the washer (8), the screw (9) and the nut (7).
(r) Tighten the nut (7).
(s) Install the profiles (Ref. AMM TASK 54-57-22-400-003).
(3) Install the angle assemblies (1) and (4) in position on the pylon. To do this:
(a) Put the angle assemblies (1) and (4) in position on the pylon.
(b) Install the washers (2) and the bolts (3).
(c) Install the washer (5) and the bolt (6).
(d) Tighten the bolts (3) and (6).

A. Close Access
(1) Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tools and other items.
(2) Close the thrust reverser doors (Ref. AMM TASK 78-36-00-410-040):

C. Close Access
(1) Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tools and other items.
(2) Install the pylon lateral access-doors (Ref. AMM TASK 54-51-21-400-001):
(a) For the left pylon: 415AL 415BL 415AR 415BR
(b) For the right pylon: 425AL 425BL 425AR 425BR.
(3) Close the thrust reverser doors (Ref. AMM TASK 78-32-00-410-010):
(a) FOR [1000EM1] (ENGINE-1)
