Installation of the Aft Fixed Fairing
WARNING:
PUT THE SAFETY DEVICES AND THE WARNING NOTICES IN POSITION BEFORE YOU START A TASK ON OR NEAR:

WARNING:
THE WEIGHT OF THE FIXED FAIRING IS 34kg (75lb).
WARNING:
HEAVY WEIGHT. MINIMUM 2 PERSONS OR ASSISTED HANDLING REQUIRED.
CAUTION:
THIS PART IS A REMOVABLE STRUCTURAL COMPONENT (RSC), WHICH CAN BE MOVED BETWEEN AIRCRAFT. THUS IT CAN HAVE DIFFERENT OPERATION CONDITIONS AND A DIFFERENT LIFE RECORD (FLIGHT HOURS/FLIGHT CYCLES/CALENDAR) FROM THE AIRCRAFT IT IS INSTALLED ON OR REMOVED FROM. A. Safety Precautions
(1) On the center pedestal, on ENG panel 115VU:
(a) Make sure that a WARNING NOTICE(S) is in position in the cockpit to tell persons not to start engine 1(2).
(2) On overhead maintenance panel 50VU:
(a) Make sure that the ON legend of the ENG/FADEC GND PWR/1(2) pushbutton switch is off.
(b) Make sure that a WARNING NOTICE(S) is in position to tell persons not to energize FADEC 1(2).
(3) Make sure that the aircraft is stable (Ref. AMM TASK 05-57-00-200-001).
(4) Make sure that the ACCESS PLATFORM 3M (10 FT)- ADJUSTABLE is in position:
(a) For the left pylon, in zone 470
(b) For the right pylon, in zone 480.

B. Deactivation of the Thrust Reverser
Subtask 54-54-00-040-068-B ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL WARNING:
MAKE SURE THAT THE THRUST REVERSER IS LOCKED. IF NOT, THE THRUST REVERSER CAN OPERATE ACCIDENTALLY AND CAUSE INJURY TO PERSONNEL AND/OR DAMAGE TO THE REVERSER.
(1) Make sure that the thrust reverser is unserviceable for maintenance (Ref. AMM TASK 78-30-00-481-041). B. Deactivation of the Thrust Reverser
4. ProcedureWARNING:
MAKE SURE THAT THE THRUST REVERSER IS LOCKED. IF NOT, THE THRUST REVERSER CAN OPERATE ACCIDENTALLY AND CAUSE INJURY TO PERSONNEL AND/OR DAMAGE TO THE REVERSER.

Attach Fittings - Aft Fixed Fairing ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL

(1) Put the aft fixed fairing in position.
(2) Install the bolts (9) and the nuts (10), (7) and (8).
(3) Install the washer (12), the bolt (14), the washer (15) and the nut (16).
(4) Install the bolt (11) and the nut (13).
(5) TORQUE the nuts (10) and (7) to between 3 and 2.6 m.daN (22.12 and 19.17 lbf.ft )

(6) TORQUE the nut (8) to between 0.45 and 0.35 m.daN (39.82 and 30.97 lbf.in )
.
(7) TORQUE the nut (16) to between 4.1 and 3.6 m.daN (30.24 and 26.55 lbf.ft )
.
(8) TORQUE the nut (13) to between 1.65 and 1.35 m.daN (146.02 and 119.47 lbf.in )
.
(9) Put the bonding lead (19) in position.
(10) Install the washer (18) and the screw (17).
(11) Tighten the screw (17).
(12) Do the electrical bonding of the bonding lead (19) at the screw (17) (Ref. AMM TASK 20-28-00-912-802).

. (6) TORQUE the nut (8) to between 0.45 and 0.35 m.daN (39.82 and 30.97 lbf.in )
. (7) TORQUE the nut (16) to between 4.1 and 3.6 m.daN (30.24 and 26.55 lbf.ft )
. (8) TORQUE the nut (13) to between 1.65 and 1.35 m.daN (146.02 and 119.47 lbf.in )
. (9) Put the bonding lead (19) in position.
(10) Install the washer (18) and the screw (17).
(11) Tighten the screw (17).
(12) Do the electrical bonding of the bonding lead (19) at the screw (17) (Ref. AMM TASK 20-28-00-912-802).
B. Installation of the Components
(1) Install the plate (43). To do this:
(a) Install the bolts (41) and the nuts (42).
(b) Tighten the nuts (42).
(2) Connect the pylon mount upper-fitting (46). To do this:
(a) Put the pylon mount upper-fitting (46) in position.
(b) Install the bolts (44) and the nuts (45).
(c) Tighten the nuts (45).
Subtask 54-54-00-420-058-B ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL (1) Install the plate (43). To do this:
(a) Install the bolts (41) and the nuts (42).
(b) Tighten the nuts (42).
(2) Connect the pylon mount upper-fitting (46). To do this:
(a) Put the pylon mount upper-fitting (46) in position.
(b) Install the bolts (44) and the nuts (45).
(c) Tighten the nuts (45).

(1) Install the plate (43). To do this:
(a) Install the washers (42) and the bolts (41).
(b) Tighten the bolts (41).
(2) Connect the pylon mount upper-fitting (46). To do this:
(a) Put the pylon mount upper-fitting (46) in position.
(b) Install the bolts (44) and the nuts (45).
(c) Tighten the nuts (45).

(a) Put the pylon mount upper-fitting (46) in position.
(b) Install the bolts (44) and the nuts (45).
(c) Tighten the nuts (45).
C. Connection of the Drain Lines

(1) Remove the blanking plugs from the disconnected line ends.
(2) Connect the two drain lines (21) and (22) (Ref. AMM TASK 20-21-12-911-001).
