A. Application of the Corrosion Preventive Compound
   (1) Increase the temperature of the Corrosion Preventive Compound-Gap Filler - - (Material No.12AHA1) (1) to between 75 DEG.C (167 DEG.F) and 93 DEG.C (199.4 DEG.F). Do this with one of the tools that follow:
Do not increase the temperature of the Corrosion Preventive Compound-Gap Filler - - (Material No.12AHA1) (1) in the passenger compartment.
   (2) Make sure that the alternative tool increases the temperature of the Corrosion Preventive Compound-Gap Filler - - (Material No.12AHA1) (1) safely to the necessary temperature range.
   (3) Carefully fill the seat track crown (2) with the Corrosion Preventive Compound-Gap Filler - - (Material No.12AHA1) (1) (refer to STEP 1).
   (4) Make sure that the tool that you use safely fills the space of the seat track crown with the Corrosion Preventive Compound-Gap Filler - - (Material No.12AHA1) (1).
   (5) Make sure that all the upper surface of the seat track crown (2) has an overflow layer of the Corrosion Preventive Compound-Gap Filler - - (Material No.12AHA1) (1).
   (6) After approximately two to three minutes, remove the unwanted Corrosion Preventive Compound-Gap Filler - - (Material No.12AHA1) (1) with the SCRAPER - NON METALLIC.
NOTE: To give good protection from corrosion, it is important to:
  • Keep a thin layer of the Corrosion Preventive Compound-Gap Filler - - (Material No.12AHA1) (1) on the top of the seat track crown (2).
  • Not clean the top of the seat track crown (2).
   (7) Make sure that all the seat track crown (2) is filled with the Corrosion Preventive Compound-Gap Filler - - (Material No.12AHA1) (1) and that there is a thin layer of it on the top of the seat track crown (2) (refer to STEP 2).
