3. Job Set-up
Subtask 49-16-48-860-055-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
A. Aircraft Maintenance Configuration
   (1) Make sure that the aircraft electrical circuits are energized (Ref. AMM TASK 24-41-00-861-002).
   (2) On the panel 25VU, make sure that the APU MASTER SW pushbutton switch is off.
   (3) Make sure that there is a warning notice in the cockpit to tell persons not to start the APU.
   (4) Make sure that the hydraulic systems are depressurized
(Ref. AMM TASK 29-00-00-864-001).
   (5) Make sure that the ACCESS PLATFORM 3M (10 FT)- ADJUSTABLE is in position below the APU compartment.
   (6) Make sure that the APU access doors are open (Ref. AMM TASK 52-41-00-010-001).
   (7) Make sure that the LIGHT control switch 11LJ is set to the on position.

4. Procedure
Subtask 49-16-48-420-051-B ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
A. Installation of the Lower Inlet-Plenum
   (1) Install the lower inlet plenum
     (a) Hang the lower half plenum (1) with the four toggle joints on the hooks (2). Do not close the toggle joints at this time.
     (b) Make sure the plenum alignment-tab is aligned with the pin.
     (c) Close two toggle joints on one side of the plenum.
     (d) Make sure that the alignment pin is still aligned with the plenum alignment tab.
     (e) Close two toggle joints on the other side
     (f) Verify correct engagement of the pin and plenum alignment tab.
   (2) Install the accessories on the plenum
     (a) Install the Compressor Discharge-Pressure Sensor (8039KM) (Ref. AMM TASK 49-51-19-400-002).
     (b) Install the Inlet Pressure/Temperature Sensor (8013KM) (Ref. AMM TASK 49-23-17-400-001).
     (c) Install the Ignition Unit support bracket to the lower inlet plenum.
       1 TORQUE the bolts to between 56 and 51 lbf.in (0.63 and 0.58 m.daN ) T.
     (d) Install the Engine Identification Module (8061KM) (
Ref. AMM TASK 49-73-31-400-001).
     (e) Install the Ignition Unit (8030KM) (Ref. AMM TASK 49-41-38-400-002).
     (f) Remove the blanking caps from the disconnected electrical connectors.
     (g) Connect the thermocouple electrical connectors P30 and P31 to the bracket.

B. Remove the safety clip(s) and the tag(s) and close this(these) circuit breaker(s):

C. Do the operational test of the APU (Ref. AMM TASK 49-00-00-710-008).
   (1) Operate the APU for min. five minutes and examine the joints of the oil level sensor for leaks.
NOTE: Leaks are not permitted.
5. Close-up

A. Close Access
   (1) Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tools and other items.
   (2) Close the access doors 315AL 316AR (Ref. AMM TASK 52-41-00-410-001).
   (3) Remove the access platform(s).

B. Aircraft Maintenance Configuration
   (1) Put the related hydraulic system in the pressurized configuration (Ref. AMM TASK 29-00-00-864-001).
   (2) De-energize the aircraft electrical circuits
(Ref. AMM TASK 24-41-00-862-002).
   (3) Remove the WARNING NOTICE(S).
