3. Job Set-up
Subtask 49-00-00-860-053-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
A. Aircraft Maintenance Configuration
   (1) Make sure that the warning notices are on panel 25VU to tell persons not to start the APU.
   (2) Make sure that the ground service network is energized (Ref. AMM TASK 24-41-00-861-002).
   (3) Make sure that the hydraulic systems are depressurized (Ref. AMM TASK 29-10-00-864-001), (Ref. AMM TASK 29-10-00-864-002) and (Ref. AMM TASK 29-10-00-864-003).
   (4) Make sure that the ACCESS PLATFORM 4M (13 FT)-ADJUSTABLE is in position below the access doors 315AL and 316AR.
   (5) Make sure that the APU access doors 315AL, 316AR are open (Ref. AMM TASK 52-41-00-010-001) or removed (Ref. AMM TASK 52-41-21-000-001).
NOTE: The installation of the A1-91-265 HOIST-MINILIFT is also possible without a removal of the APU access door 315AL, but a removal will make the installation of the A1-91-265 HOIST-MINILIFT easier.
   (6) Make sure that the light switch 11LJ is set to on.
   (7) Make sure that the the oil-cooler outlet duct is removed (Ref. AMM TASK 49-52-41-000-002).

4. Procedure
WARNING: OBEY THE HOISTING SAFETY PROCEDURES. MAKE SURE THAT THE HOIST IS ASSEMBLED AND ATTACHED CORRECTLY BEFORE YOU PUT A LOAD ON IT. OBEY THE MANUFACTURER'S INSTRUCTIONS WHEN YOU USE THE HOIST. IF THE HOIST IS IN AN INCORRECT CONDITION THE LOAD CAN MOVE ACCIDENTALLY AND KILL PERSONS OR CAUSE INJURY.
CAUTION: MAKE SURE THAT THE THREE ATTACHMENT NUTS ARE INSTALLED AND CORRECTLY TORQUED BEFORE YOU DISCONNECT THE HOIST. IF YOU DO NOT DO THIS, YOU CAN CAUSE DAMAGE TO THE TIE RODS.

A. Removal of the A1-91-265 HOIST-MINILIFT
F APU Hoist Minilift Installation ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
   (1) Make sure that the APU is correctly installed and the APU mount nuts are correctly torqued (Ref. AMM TASK 49-11-11-400-003).
   (2) Disconnection of the A1-91-265 HOIST-MINILIFT from the APU
     (a) Turn the upper drum shaft of the A1-91-265 HOIST-MINILIFT (10) in a counterclockwise direction until you have removed the tension from the cable (3).
     (b) Remove the quick release pin (5) and disconnect the shackle assembly (4) from the adapter of the APU (9).
     (c) Disconnect the shackle assembly (4) from the cable (3) of the A1-91-265 HOIST-MINILIFT (10).
   (3) Removal of the A1-91-265 HOIST-MINILIFT from the APU compartment
     (a) Hold the A1-91-265 HOIST-MINILIFT (10) in position and remove the quick release pin (8) from the bearing assy (7) on the LH side of the APU compartment.
     (b) Hold the A1-91-265 HOIST-MINILIFT (10) in position and remove the quick release pin (2) from the APU hoist bracket (1) on the top firewall of the APU compartment.
     (c) Remove the A1-91-265 HOIST-MINILIFT (10) from the APU compartment.
     (d) Install the quick release pins (2) and (8) temporarily on the A1-91-265 HOIST-MINILIFT (10).
5. Close-up
Subtask 49-00-00-410-063-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
A. Close Access
   (1) Install the APU oil cooler outlet-duct (Ref. AMM TASK 49-52-41-400-002)
   (2) Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tools and other items.
   (3) Close or install the APU access doors 315AL, 316AR (Ref. AMM TASK 52-41-00-410-001) (Ref. AMM TASK 52-41-21-400-001).
   (4) Set the light switch 11LJ to the off position.
   (5) Remove the access platform(s).

B. Remove the safety clip(s) and the tag(s) and close this(these) circuit breaker(s):

C. Put the aircraft back to its initial configuration.
   (1) De-energize the ground service network (Ref. AMM TASK 24-41-00-862-002).
   (2) Remove the WARNING NOTICE(S).
   (3) Remove the ground support and maintenance equipment, the special and standard tools and all other items.
