A. Installation of the Environmental Control System (ECS) Harness
(1) If you use the APU to energize the electrical circuits, stop the APU:
(a) Make sure that the pressure and the temperature of the bleed-air duct system are in ambient conditions.
(4) Put the ECS harness (1) in the two spring clips on the electrical heatshield bracket assembly.
(5) Put the INSTL REF bands on the ECS harness (1) in the center of the spring clips.
(6) Put the clamp (14) on the ECS harness (1).
(7) Remove the bolt (11), two washers (12), and nut (13) from the IDG-EDP-MON and PW harnesses and the two clamps.
(8) Attach the ECS harness (1) and the clamp (14) to the IDG-EDP-MON and PW harnesses and the two clamps.
(9) Put the three clamps where there is the least clearance for the harnesses.
(10) Use the bolt (11), two washers (12), and nut (13).
(12) Attach the ECS harness (1) and the clamp (4) to the AOC support return fuel bracket.
(13) Use the bolt (2) and washer (3).
(14) Put the INSTL REF band on the ECS harness (1) in the center of the clamp (4).
(16) Attach the ECS harness (1) and the four clamps (7) to the ECS duct brackets. Use the four bolts (5) and the four washers (6).
(18) Attach the ECS harness (1) and the clamp (10) to the ECS duct bracket. Use the bolt (8) and washer (9).
(a) Turn the connector finger-tight. Turn the connector 1/4 turn more with PLIERS - CONNECTOR, JAW, SOFT.
(20) Connect the ECS harness (1) connector (4001HA-A) to the Pressure Regulating Valve (PRV).
(a) Turn the connector finger-tight. Turn the connector 1/4 turn more with PLIERS - CONNECTOR, JAW, SOFT.
(21) Connect the ECS harness (1) connector (4000HA-A) to the High Pressure Valve (HPV).
(a) Turn the connector finger-tight. Turn the connector 1/4 turn more with PLIERS - CONNECTOR, JAW, SOFT.
(22) Adjust the ECS harness (1) to keep the preload to a minimum. Make sure that there are no kinks in the ECS harness (1).
(23) Tighten the nut and bolts.
(a) TORQUE the nut (13) to between 35 and 30 lbf.in (0.40 and 0.34 m.daN )
.
(b) TORQUE the bolts (2) (5), and (8) to between 35 and 31.5 lbf.in (0.40 and 0.36 m.daN )
