A. Operational Test of the Back-Up Speed and Altitude Scales
NOTE: The display of the back-up speed and altitude scales is related to the position and sensitivity of the AOA sensors. The result must be included between the FAST and SLOW indications.
NOTE: If you do this test in a hangar, it is possible that the GPS data will be incorrect. Thus, the "ALT" flag will be shown on the PFD altitude scale and not on the GPS altitude scale.
ACTION
RESULT
1.On ADIRS MSU panel 41VU:
  • Make sure that ADR1, ADR2 and ADR3 pushbutton switches are pushed.
On ADIRS MSU panel 41VU:
  • The FAULT and OFF legends of the pushbutton switches are off.

On the CAPT and F/O PFDs:
  • The speed and altitude scales from ADR1 and ADR2 are shown.
2.On ADIRS MSU panel 41VU:
  • Push ADR1 pushbutton switch.
