TASK 32-42-00-720-004-A
Functional Check of the Automatic Reactivation of the Normal Braking Mode (Parking Brake Applied)

WARNING: MAKE SURE THAT THE GROUND SAFETY-LOCKS ARE IN POSITION ON THE LANDING GEAR. THIS WILL PREVENT UNWANTED MOVEMENT OF THE LANDING GEAR, AND THUS POSSIBLE INJURY TO PERSONS AND DAMAGE TO THE AIRCRAFT AND/OR EQUIPMENT.
WARNING: MAKE SURE THAT THE TRAVEL RANGES OF THE FLIGHT CONTROLS SURFACES ARE CLEAR. MOVEMENT OF FLIGHT CONTROLS CAN CAUSE INJURY TO PERSONS AND/OR DAMAGE TO EQUIPMENT.
WARNING: MAKE SURE THAT THE CONTROLS AGREE WITH THE POSITION OF THE ITEMS THEY OPERATE BEFORE YOU PRESSURIZE A HYDRAULIC SYSTEM. UNWANTED MOVEMENT OF HYDRAULICALLY OPERATED ITEMS CAN CAUSE SERIOUS INJURY AND/OR DAMAGE.
WARNING: PRESSURIZE ONLY THE HYDRAULIC SYSTEM(S) THAT IS (ARE) NECESSARY FOR THE TASK. ISOLATE THE OTHER HYDRAULIC SYSTEM(S) BEFORE YOU SUPPLY HYDRAULIC POWER TO THE AIRCRAFT.

ACTION
RESULT
Pressurize the Yellow hydraulic system (Ref. AMM TASK 29-24-00-863-001).
On panel 400VU, on triple indicator 60GG:
  • Make sure that the pressure of the accumulator increases to 206 bar (2987.78 psi) (the pointer is in the green zone), and
  • Make sure that the left and right pressure values are shown.
    On the brake units:
  • Make sure that the pistons, that the Yellow hydraulic system supplies, are in the extended position.
Push the left pedal on the Captain or First Officer side.
On the brake units of the left main gear:
  • Make sure that the pistons related to the Green hydraulic system are retracted, and
  • Make sure that the pistons related to the Yellow hydraulic system are extended.
Release the left pedal on the Captain or First Officer side.
On the brake units of the left main gear:
  • Make sure that the pistons related to the Green hydraulic system are retracted, and
  • Make sure that the pistons related to the Yellow hydraulic system are extended.
Depressurize the Yellow hydraulic system (Ref. AMM TASK 29-24-00-864-001) and depressurize the brake system (Ref. AMM TASK 29-10-00-864-004):
  • In the right MLG compartment (zone 744), operate the manual depressurization button on the brake relief valve (3067GM) to release the pressure.
On panel 400VU, on triple indicator 60GG:
  • Make sure that the ACCU PRESS indicator shows zero pressure and that the pressure applied to the brakes is zero.
    On the brake units:
  • Make sure that the pistons related to the Yellow hydraulic system, are in the retracted position.
  • Make sure that the MEMO "PARK BRK LO PR" indication is shown on the upper ECAM DU.
Push the left pedal on the Captain or First Officer side.
