3. Job Set-up
Subtask 32-31-00-941-069-A
A. Safety Precautions
   (1) As necessary, use the applicable SAFETY BARRIERS, specified by the operator's instructions and your local regulations.
   (2) Make sure that the ground safety locks are on the landing gear (Ref. AMM TASK 32-00-00-481-001).
   (3) On the panel 400VU:
  • make sure that the landing-gear control-lever 6GA is in the DOWN position
  • put a WARNING NOTICE(S) in position to tell persons not to operate the landing gear/landing gear doors.
Subtask 32-31-00-010-064-A
B. Get Access
   (1) Open the applicable MLG door (Ref. AMM TASK 32-12-00-010-001) or the applicable NLG door (Ref. AMM TASK 32-22-00-010-001).
   (2) Make sure that the GROUND LOCK SLEEVE is installed if you open the MLG doors on the applicable MLG door actuating-cylinder (Ref. AMM TASK 32-00-00-481-002).
   (3) Make sure that the 98D32203502000 SAFETY PIN - NLG DOOR is installed, if you open the NLG doors, in the rigging holes of the left and right nose gear doors (Ref. AMM TASK 32-00-00-481-002).
   (4) Put the ACCESS PLATFORM 2M (6 FT) in position in zone 734/744 for the MLG.
   (5) Put the ACCESS PLATFORM 2M (6 FT) in position in zone 123 for the NLG.

C. Flight Configuration Precautions
   (1) If the electrical power is not necessary for other maintenance tasks, de-energize the aircraft electrical circuits (Ref. AMM TASK 24-41-00-862-002). Thus it is not necessary to do the flight configuration precautions.
   (2) If the electrical power is necessary, do the precautions for flight configuration (Ref. AMM TASK 32-00-00-860-001) before you open the LGCIU circuit breakers.

4. Procedure
Subtask 32-31-00-040-052-A
A. Check of the System 2 Proximity Sensors of the Landing Gear and Landing Gear Doors
   (1) Do a check of the related proximity sensor(s) and make sure that there is no damage.
     (a) If there is damage, a flight in this MMEL condition is not permitted.
NOTE: This MMEL condition is only applicable when there is an electrical fault.
   (2) Disconnect the electrical connector from the unserviceable system 2 proximity sensor.
   (3) Put a CAP - PROTECTION on the disconnected electrical connector.
   (4) Safety the disconnected electrical connector to the applicable aircraft structure.
   (5) Do a BITE test (Ref. AMM TASK 32-69-00-740-001) to make sure that the correct system 2 proximity sensor has been electrically deactivated.
   (6) Make an entry in the aircraft technical log that the applicable system 2 proximity sensor is electrically deactivated.

   (3) Close the MLG doors (Ref. AMM TASK 32-12-00-410-001) or the NLG doors (Ref. AMM TASK 32-22-00-410-001) as applicable.
