A. Safety Precautions
   (1) Make sure that the SAFETY BARRIER(S) are in position.
   (2) Make sure that the WARNING NOTICE(S) are in the cockpit to tell persons not to operate the landing gear and the brakes.
   (3) Make sure that the WARNING NOTICE(S) are on the ground service connections to tell persons not to operate:
  • The Green hydraulic system
  • The Yellow hydraulic system.
   (4) Make sure that the WARNING NOTICE(S) is in position to tell persons not to operate the landing gear doors.
   (5) Make sure that the safety devices are on the landing gear (Ref. AMM TASK 32-00-00-481-001).

B. Aircraft Maintenance Configuration
   (1) Make sure that the applicable hydraulic systems are depressurized (Ref. AMM TASK 29-00-00-864-001).
   (2) Make sure that the applicable hydraulic reservoirs are depressurized (Ref. AMM TASK 29-14-00-614-001).
   (3) Make sure that the applicable MLG shock absorber is removed (Ref. AMM TASK 32-11-13-000-001).
4. Procedure
Subtask 32-11-13-420-062-A
A. Preparation for Installation
   (1) Use a clean Textile-Lint free Cotton - (Material No.14SBA1) made moist with Non Aqueous Cleaner-- Isopropyl Alcohol - (Material No.08BBD1) to clean the internal surface of the lower bearing housing (1).
NOTE: In the step that follows, only use Non Hardening Jointing Putty-High Temp. Area - Hydraulic (Material No.06LDG6) .
   (2) Apply a thin layer of Non Hardening Jointing Putty-High Temp. Area - Hydraulic (Material No.06LDG6) on the internal surface of the lower bearing housing (1).

A. Close Access
   (1) Use the 460006211 LIFTING-TACKLE to remove the MLG shock absorber from the 460006212 TROLLEY-BUILD.
   (2) Install the MLG shock absorber (Ref. AMM TASK 32-11-13-400-001).
Subtask 32-11-13-410-055-B ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
A. Close Access
   (1) Use the 460006211 LIFTING-TACKLE to remove the MLG shock absorber from the 460007240 TROLLEY-BUILD.
   (2) Install the MLG shock absorber (Ref. AMM TASK 32-11-13-400-001).

B. Aircraft Maintenance Configuration
   (1) Pressurize the applicable hydraulic reservoirs (Ref. AMM TASK 29-14-00-614-002).

C. Removal of Equipment
   (1) Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tools and other items.
   (2) Remove the WARNING NOTICE(S).
   (3) Remove the SAFETY BARRIER(S).
   (4) Remove the ground support and maintenance equipment, the special and standard tools and all other items.
