WARNING: MAKE SURE THAT ALL THE CIRCUITS IN MAINTENANCE ARE ISOLATED BEFORE YOU SUPPLY ELECTRICAL POWER TO THE AIRCRAFT. UNWANTED ELECTRICAL POWER CAN BE DANGEROUS.
WARNING: STOP THE FUEL TANKER 60 m (196.85 ft) FROM THE AIRCRAFT NOSE WHILE THE WEATHER RADAR OPERATES. DO NOT OPERATE THE FUEL TANKER/PUMP UNIT UNTIL YOU STOP THE OPERATION OF THE WEATHER RADAR.
WARNING: MAKE SURE THAT:
  • NO PERSON IS IN THE AREA MADE BY AN ARC OF 135° ON EACH SIDE OF THE AIRCRAFT CENTERLINE. -THERE IS A MINIMUM SAFETY DISTANCE OF 5 METERS (16.4FT) BETWEEN THE AIRCRAFT AND ANY OBSTACLE IN THE AREA MADE BY AN ARC OF 90° ON EACH SIDE OF THE AIRCRAFT CENTERLINE.

   (2) On maintenance panel 50VU, release the ENG/FADEC GND PWR 1 & 2 pushbutton switches (the ON legends come on).

   (1) On one MCDU, get access to the SYSTEM REPORT/TEST INST menu page (Ref. AMM TASK 31-32-00-860-008).

A. EIS Input Test
NOTE: This test is for DMC1. For DMC2 use the indications between parentheses.
For DMC3, there is a special procedure is used.
ACTION
RESULT
1.On the MCDU, on the INST menu page:

  • Push the line key adjacent to the EIS1 (2) indication.
  • Make sure that:
    * The CAPT (F/O) PFD and ND and the upper (lower) ECAM DU operate in the maintenance mode.
    * On the MCDU, the EIS DMC1 (EIS DMC2) page comes into view.
  • Push the line key adjacent to the TEST indication.
  • On the MCDU, the EIS DMC1 TEST (EIS DMC2 TEST) page comes into view.
  • Push the line key adjacent to the I/P TEST indication.
  • The I/P TEST IN PROGRESS indication comes into view; then the I/P TEST RESULTS and the NO BUS FAULT (or TCAS/ADF warning message(s) if TCAS/ADF is(are) not installed) indications come into view.
  • Push the line key adjacent to the RETURN indication as necessary to have the INST page again.
  • The CAPT (F/O) PFD and ND and the upper (lower) ECAM DU go back to the normal mode.
2.On switching panel 8VU, set the EIS DMC selector switch from NORM to CAPT/3.

3.On the MCDU:
  • Push the line key adjacent to the EIS3 indication.
  • Make sure that:
    * The CAPT PFD and ND and the upper ECAM DU operate in the maintenance mode (MAINTENANCE MODE comes into view on these 3 display units)
    * On the MCDU, the EIS DMC3 page comes into view.
  • Push the line key adjacent to the TEST indication.
  • On the MCDU, the EIS DMC3 TEST page comes into view.
  • Push the line key adjacent to the I/P TEST indication.
  • The I/P TEST IN PROGRESS indication comes into view; then the I/P TEST RESULTS and the NO BUS FAULT (or TCAS/ADF warning message(s) if TCAS/ADF is(are) not installed) indications come into view.
  • Push the line key adjacent to the RETURN indication until the CFDS MENU page comes into view.
  • The CAPT PFD and ND and the upper ECAM DU go back to the normal mode.
4.On switching panel 8VU, set the EIS DMC selector switch to NORM.


5. Close-up
Subtask 31-60-00-860-060-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
A. Put the aircraft back to its initial configuration.
   (1) Do the EIS stop procedure (Ref. AMM TASK 31-60-00-860-002).
   (2) On maintenance panel 50VU, press the ENG/FADEC GND PWR 1 & 2 pushbutton switches (the ON legend goes off).
   (3) Do the ADIRS stop procedure (Ref. AMM TASK 34-10-00-860-005).
   (4) On the radar control unit, set the control switches back to their initial position.
   (5) On the ATC control unit, set the control switches back to their initial position.
   (6) De-energize the aircraft electrical circuits
(Ref. AMM TASK 24-41-00-862-002).
   (7) Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tools and other items.
