A. Aircraft Maintenance Configuration
   (1) Energize the aircraft electrical circuits
(Ref. AMM TASK 24-41-00-861-002).
   (2) On one MCDU, get the SYSTEM REPORT/TEST/NAV page (Ref. AMM TASK 31-32-00-860-010).
   (3) Do the EIS start procedure (PFDs only) (Ref. AMM TASK 31-60-00-860-001).
   (4) Do the ADIRS start procedure (Ref. AMM TASK 34-10-00-860-002).

4. Procedure
Subtask 31-50-00-710-083-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
A. Check of the Automatic Call-Out Announcements Pin-Programmed in the FWCs
NOTE: The Aircraft Schematic Manual (ASM) gives the auto call-out announcements pin-programmed in the FWCs ASM 315201. You can hear these announcements during A/C operation if their related pins are connected to the ground.
NOTE: During this test, you will not hear the MINIMUM and HUNDRED ABOVE call-outs (if the related FWC pins are grounded or not).
NOTE: You can do this procedure with the FWC1 or the FWC2.
This procedure is for the FWC1. For the FWC2, use the indications between the parentheses.
   (1) Read the pin programming related to the FWC1 (2) (Ref. AMM TASK 31-50-00-740-002).
   (2) Compare the pin programming related to the FWC1 (2) with the state of the aircraft pin programming given in the ASM ASM 315201.
Subtask 31-50-00-710-079-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
B. Automatic Test of the Announcements
NOTE: This test is for RA1. For RA2, you must open the circuit breaker 1SA1.
NOTE: During the test, you can hear only the call-out in the ramp test range.
NOTE: The 500ft call-out is not triggered, even if it is activated, because the ramp test begins at 500ft.
ACTION
RESULT
1.On the MCDU:
  • push the line key adjacent to the RA1 (RA2) indication.
On the MCDU:
  • The RA1 (RA2) page comes into view.
On the MCDU:
  • push the line key adjacent to the RAMP TEST indication.
On the MCDU:
  • the RA1 (RA2) RAMP TEST page comes into view with these indications:
    TWO SUCCESSIVE RAMPS:
    RAMP1: 500-50FT (10FT/S)
    RAMP2: 50/0FT (3FT/S)
MAKE SURE THAT AUTO CALL-OUT ALTITUDES ARE CORRECTLY ANNOUNCED.

On the CAPT (F/O) PFD:
  • the ramp test starts. The speed scale moves down from 500 to 0 ft. and stops after approximately 1 minute.
  • during the descent, make sure that you can hear the programmed announcements in the CAPT and F/O loudspeakers.

On the MCDU:
  • at the end of the test, the TEST OK indication comes into view.
  • push the line key adjacent to the RETURN indication until the CFDS menu page comes into view.
  • the MCDU shows the CFDS menu page.
NOTE: If all the call-outs in the ramp test range are heard, the call-out operational test is successful.
5. Close-up

Subtask 31-50-00-860-092-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
B. Put the aircraft back to its initial configuration.
   (1) Do the EIS stop procedure (Ref. AMM TASK 31-60-00-860-002)
   (2) Do the ADIRS stop procedure (Ref. AMM TASK 34-10-00-860-005)
   (3) On the MCDU, set the BRT knob to off.
   (4) De-energize the aircraft electrical circuits
(Ref. AMM TASK 24-41-00-862-002)
   (5) Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tools and other items.
