NOTE: This procedure is applicable for the CVDR1 and CVDR2.
Subtask 31-39-00-861-055-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL A. Aircraft Maintenance Configuration
(1) Energize the aircraft electrical circuits
(Ref. AMM TASK 24-41-00-861-002).
(2) Make sure that the GND CTL pushbutton on overhead panel 21VU is released (the blue ON indicator in the pushbutton is off).
Subtask 31-39-00-010-051-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL (1) Energize the aircraft electrical circuits
(Ref. AMM TASK 24-41-00-861-002).
(2) Make sure that the GND CTL pushbutton on overhead panel 21VU is released (the blue ON indicator in the pushbutton is off).
B. Get Access
(1) Put the WARNING NOTICE(S) in position in the cockpit to tell persons not operate the flight controls.
(2) For the CVDR1:
(a) Put the ACCESS PLATFORM 3M (10 FT)- ADJUSTABLE in position at access door 312AR.
(b) Open access door 312AR.
(c) Set light switch 3LJ to the ON position.
(d) Remove the applicable umbrella panels to get access to the CVDR1 (Ref. AMM TASK 31-39-33-000-801).
(3) For the CVDR2:
(a) Put the ACCESS PLATFORM 2M (6 FT) - ADJUSTABLE in position at access door 811.
(b) Open access door 811 (Ref. AMM TASK 52-41-00-010-002).

(2) For the CVDR1:
(a) Put the ACCESS PLATFORM 3M (10 FT)- ADJUSTABLE in position at access door 312AR.
(b) Open access door 312AR.
(c) Set light switch 3LJ to the ON position.
(d) Remove the applicable umbrella panels to get access to the CVDR1 (Ref. AMM TASK 31-39-33-000-801).
(3) For the CVDR2:
(a) Put the ACCESS PLATFORM 2M (6 FT) - ADJUSTABLE in position at access door 811.
(b) Open access door 811 (Ref. AMM TASK 52-41-00-010-002).

A. Readout Procedure of the CVDR with the RDI
(1) Do an inspection of the component interfaces and the adjacent area.
(2) Remove the blanking cap (1) to get access to the Ground-Support Equipment (GSE) connector (2).
(3) Connect the 17TES0900 RECORDER DATA INTERFACE (3) to the GSE connector (2) with the interface cable (4).
(4) Download the CVDR data to the 17TES0900 RECORDER DATA INTERFACE (3) that follows:
(5) Disconnect the 17TES0900 RECORDER DATA INTERFACE (3) from the interface cable (4).
(6) Disconnect the interface cable (4) from the GSE connector (2).
(7) Put the blanking cap (1) on the GSE connector (2).
5. Close-up(1) Do an inspection of the component interfaces and the adjacent area.
(2) Remove the blanking cap (1) to get access to the Ground-Support Equipment (GSE) connector (2).
(3) Connect the 17TES0900 RECORDER DATA INTERFACE (3) to the GSE connector (2) with the interface cable (4).
(4) Download the CVDR data to the 17TES0900 RECORDER DATA INTERFACE (3) that follows:

(5) Disconnect the 17TES0900 RECORDER DATA INTERFACE (3) from the interface cable (4).
(6) Disconnect the interface cable (4) from the GSE connector (2).
(7) Put the blanking cap (1) on the GSE connector (2).

A. Close Access
(1) Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tools and other items.
(2) Install the applicable umbrella panels (Ref. AMM TASK 31-39-33-400-801).
(3) Set light switch 3LJ to the OFF position.
(4) Close access door 312AR.
(5) Close access door 811.
(6) Remove the access platform(s).
(7) Remove the WARNING NOTICE(S).
Subtask 31-39-00-862-057-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL (1) Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tools and other items.
(2) Install the applicable umbrella panels (Ref. AMM TASK 31-39-33-400-801).
(3) Set light switch 3LJ to the OFF position.
(4) Close access door 312AR.
(5) Close access door 811.
(6) Remove the access platform(s).
(7) Remove the WARNING NOTICE(S).
B. Put the aircraft back to its initial configuration.
(1) Make sure that the GND CTL pushbutton on overhead panel 21VU is in the OFF position (the blue ON indicator in the pushbutton is off).
(2) De-energize the aircraft electrical circuits
(Ref. AMM TASK 24-41-00-862-002).
