A. Aircraft Maintenance Configuration
   (1) Energize the aircraft electrical circuits
(Ref. AMM TASK 24-41-00-861-002).

B. Open, safety and tag this(these) circuit breaker(s):

C. Get Access
   (1) Put the WARNING NOTICE(S) in position in the cockpit to tell persons not to operate the flight controls.
   (2) For the CVDR1:
     (a) Put the ACCESS PLATFORM 3M (10 FT)- ADJUSTABLE in position below access door 312AR.
     (b) Open access door 312AR.
     (c) Set light switch 3LJ to the ON position.
   (3) For the CVDR2:
     (a) Put the ACCESS PLATFORM 2M (6 FT) - ADJUSTABLE in position below access door 811.
     (b) Open access door 811 (Ref. AMM TASK 52-41-00-010-002).
4. Procedure

A. Removal of the Umbrella Panels of the CVDR1
F Removal/Installation of the CVDR ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
   (1) Make match marks on the components that you disconnect/remove to record their connections/positions. This is important for the subsequent installation procedure.
   (2) Hold the umbrella panel (2) and remove the screws (4) and the washers (5).
   (3) Remove the umbrella panel (2).
   (4) Hold the umbrella panel (1) and remove the screws (4) and the washers (5).
   (5) Remove the umbrella panel (1).
   (6) Hold the umbrella panel (3) and remove the screws (4) and the washers (5).
   (7) Remove the umbrella panel (3).

B. Removal of the CVDR
F Removal/Installation of the CVDR ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
NOTE: Before you remove the CVDRs for shop maintenance or repair you must get the ECAM last leg report, the system last leg report and any class III faults.
   (1) Make match marks on the components that you disconnect/remove to record their connections/positions. This is important for the subsequent installation procedure.
   (2) Disconnect the electrical connectors:
CAUTION: TO PREVENT POSSIBLE CROSS-CONNECTION OF THE ELECTRICAL CONNECTORS, MAKE SURE THAT PLUGS AND RECEPTACLES ARE CLEARLY IDENTIFIED.
     (a) Disconnect the electrical connectors (8).
     (b) Make sure that all the electrical connections are clean and in the correct condition.
     (c) Put the CAP-BLANKING on each disconnected electrical connector and receptacle.
   (3) Remove the screw (9), washer (10), spacer (12), self-locking nut (13) and strap (11).
   (4) Temporarily attach the electrical connectors (8) and the strap (11) to the aircraft structure with the TIE WRAP(S).
   (5) Remove the screws (14) and the washers (15).
   (6) Carefully remove the CVDRs (6) and/or (7) from the mounting tray.
