WARNING:

WARNING:
MAKE SURE THAT THE RAT TRAVEL RANGE IS CLEAR BEFORE YOU EXTEND/RETRACT THE RAT.
WARNING:
MAKE SURE THAT THE GROUND SAFETY-LOCKS ARE IN POSITION ON THE LANDING GEAR. THIS WILL PREVENT UNWANTED MOVEMENT OF THE LANDING GEAR, AND THUS POSSIBLE INJURY TO PERSONS AND DAMAGE TO THE AIRCRAFT AND/OR EQUIPMENT.
CAUTION:
BE CAREFUL WHEN YOU TOUCH OR MOVE THE RAM AIR TURBINE (RAT). THE RAT BLADES ARE MADE OF COMPOSITE MATERIAL AND CAN EASILY BECOME DAMAGED.

A. Aircraft Maintenance Configuration
(1) As necessary, use the applicable SAFETY BARRIERS, specified by the operator's instructions and your local regulations.
(2) Energize the aircraft electrical circuits
(Ref. AMM TASK 24-41-00-861-002).
(3) Make sure that the Air Data/Inertial Reference System (ADIRS) operates (Ref. AMM TASK 34-10-00-860-002).
Subtask 29-22-00-010-081-A Subtask 29-22-00-865-108-A (1) As necessary, use the applicable SAFETY BARRIERS, specified by the operator's instructions and your local regulations.
(2) Energize the aircraft electrical circuits
(Ref. AMM TASK 24-41-00-861-002).
(3) Make sure that the Air Data/Inertial Reference System (ADIRS) operates (Ref. AMM TASK 34-10-00-860-002).
NOTE: Set only the OFF/NAV/ATT selector switch of CDU/ADIRU 1 to NAV position.
(4) Do the P.F.D. part of the E.I.S. start procedure (Ref. AMM TASK 31-60-00-860-001). C. Make sure that this(these) circuit breaker(s) is(are) closed:

B. Protection of the RAT Blades from Corrosion
Subtask 29-22-00-869-090-A 5. Close-upNOTE: The following procedure is not necessary but Airbus recommends this step to prevent corrosion of RAT blades.
(1) Apply protection on the RAT blades to prevent corrosion (Ref. AMM TASK 29-22-00-916-801). Subtask 29-22-00-860-107-A
A. Put the aircraft back to the serviceable condition.
(1) Depressurize the Blue hydraulic system
(Ref. AMM TASK 29-10-00-864-003).
(2) Do the EIS stop procedure
(Ref. AMM TASK 31-60-00-860-002).
(3) Do the ADIRS stop procedure (Ref. AMM TASK 34-10-00-860-005).
(4) De-energize the aircraft electrical circuits
(Ref. AMM TASK 24-41-00-862-002).
Subtask 29-22-00-410-076-A (1) Depressurize the Blue hydraulic system
(Ref. AMM TASK 29-10-00-864-003).
(2) Do the EIS stop procedure
(Ref. AMM TASK 31-60-00-860-002).
(3) Do the ADIRS stop procedure (Ref. AMM TASK 34-10-00-860-005).
(4) De-energize the aircraft electrical circuits
