4. Procedure
Subtask 29-13-46-420-052-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
A. Installation of the Hydraulic Inline Damper
CAUTION: YOU MUST USE A WRENCH TO HOLD THE MATING PARTS WHEN YOU LOOSEN OR TIGHTEN THE TUBE NUTS. IF YOU DO NOT OBEY THIS CAUTION, YOU CAN TWIST OR CAUSE DAMAGE TO THE TUBES.
CAUTION: WIPE CLEAN ALL PARTS AND TOOLS AS NECESSARY TO REMOVE UNWANTED DEBRIS AND PREVENT DAMAGE TO THE ENGINE.
   (1) Clean the component interfaces and the adjacent area.
   (2) Do an inspection of the component interfaces and the adjacent area.
   (3) Make sure that the hydraulic line end-fittings are serviceable.
   (4) Make sure that a PU10-0013container - 0.25 gal. (1 L) is in position below the hydraulic pump connections.
   (5) Removal of the protection covers
CAUTION: REMOVE THE PROTECTION COVERS FROM THE OPENINGS AS NECESSARY TO PREVENT ENGINE DAMAGE.
     (a) Make sure that you remove all the necessary COVER - PROTECTION from the hydraulic pressure hose and the hydraulic pump to prevent damage to the engine.
   (6) Apply a thin layer of lubricant (Material No.PU6-0003) to the new packings (2), (4), two new retainers (3) and to the threads of the hydraulic inline damper (1).
   (7) Install the new AIPC 29-11-86-20-430 PACKING (2), AIPC 29-11-86-20-437 PACKING (4) and two new AIPC 29-11-86-20-435 RETAINERS (3) on the hydraulic inline damper (1).
   (8) Install the hydraulic inline damper (1) on the hydraulic pump.
   (9) TORQUE the hydraulic inline damper (1) to between 1062 and 973 lbf.in (12.00 and 10.99 m.daN )
T.
   (10) Clean the surface of the hydraulic inline damper (1) and the adjacent surface with a clean lint-free cotton cloth (Material No.
PU1-0001) made moist with acetone (Material No.PU2-0002) or PU2-0001alcohol, isopropyl. Clean until you remove all the contamination you can see.
