B. Aircraft Maintenance Configuration
   (1) Energize the aircraft electrical circuits (Ref. AMM TASK 24-41-00-861-002).
   (2) Do the EIS start procedure (upper ECAM DU and lower ECAM DU only)
(Ref. AMM TASK 31-60-00-860-001).
   (3) On the ECAM control panel on the center pedestal, push the HYD pushbutton. Make sure that the ECAM lower Display Unit (DU) shows the HYD page.
   (4) On the panel 24VU, make sure that the ELAC 2 pushbutton switch (P/BSW) is set to ON (OFF and FAULT lights off).
   (5) On the panel 23VU, make sure that the ELAC 1 and SEC 1 P/BSW are set to ON (OFF and FAULT lights off).
   (6) Make sure that the ECAM does not show any of these conditions:
  • Low air pressure in the Blue reservoir,
  • Low fluid level in the Blue reservoir.
   (7) If necessary, pressurize the reservoir (Ref. AMM TASK 29-14-00-614-002).
   (8) If necessary. add fluid to the reservoir (Ref. AMM TASK 12-12-29-611-001).
   (9) On the panel 40VU, make sure that the BLUE ELEC PUMP P/BSW is set to AUTO (OFF and FAULT lights off).

A. Do this test:
ACTION
RESULT
1.On the panel 50VU:
  • push the BLUE PUMP OVRD P/BSW.
On the panel 50VU:
  • the ON light of the BLUE PUMP OVRD P/BSW comes on.

The electric pump of the Blue hydraulic system starts.

On the ECAM lower DU:
  • the pressure in the Blue hydraulic system must be between 2800 and 3200 psi.
2.Operate the ailerons, the elevators and the rudder.
On the ECAM lower DU:
  • the pressure in the Blue hydraulic system must be not less than 2200 psi (with the control surfaces in operation).
3.Stop the operation of the control surfaces.
On the ECAM lower DU:
  • the pressure in the Blue hydraulic system must increase to between 2800 and 3200 psi.
4.On the panel 40VU:

  • push the BLUE ELEC PUMP P/BSW.
On the panel 40VU:
  • the OFF light of the BLUE ELEC PUMP P/BSW comes on.

    On the panel 50VU:

  • The ON light of the BLUE PUMP OVRD P/BSW goes off.

The electric pump of the Blue hydraulic system stops.
