A. Safety Precautions
(2) Put the SAFETY BARRIER(S) in position.
Subtask 28-26-00-860-050-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL WARNING:
OBEY THE FUEL SAFETY PROCEDURES.
(1) You must obey the fuel safety procedures when you do work on the fuel system (Ref. AMM TASK 28-00-00-910-001). (2) Put the SAFETY BARRIER(S) in position.
B. Aircraft Maintenance Configuration
(1) Energize the aircraft electrical circuits (Ref. AMM TASK 24-41-00-861-002).
(2) Do the EIS start procedure (ECAM only) (Ref. AMM TASK 31-60-00-860-001).
(3) On the ECAM Control Panel (CP), push (in) the FUEL pushbutton switch (P/BSW).
(4) Make sure that the FUEL page is shown on the ECAM lower Display Unit (DU).
Subtask 28-26-00-650-050-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL (1) Energize the aircraft electrical circuits (Ref. AMM TASK 24-41-00-861-002).
(2) Do the EIS start procedure (ECAM only) (Ref. AMM TASK 31-60-00-860-001).
(3) On the ECAM Control Panel (CP), push (in) the FUEL pushbutton switch (P/BSW).
(4) Make sure that the FUEL page is shown on the ECAM lower Display Unit (DU).
C. Fuel Configuration
(1) Refuel each wing tank to approximately 5000 kg (11023 lb) and the center tank to a minimum of 3000 kg (6614 lb) (Ref. AMM TASK 12-11-28-650-003).
(2) On the ECAM lower DU:
Subtask 28-26-00-865-050-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL (1) Refuel each wing tank to approximately 5000 kg (11023 lb) and the center tank to a minimum of 3000 kg (6614 lb) (Ref. AMM TASK 12-11-28-650-003).
(2) On the ECAM lower DU:
- monitor the fuel quantity indications for each fuel tank
- write down the fuel quantity indications when they have become stable.

WARNING:
WHEN YOU OPERATE THE FUEL PUMPS DURING A MAINTENANCE PROCEDURE, A MAINTENANCE PERSON MUST BE IN THE COCKPIT. THIS PERSON MUST STOP THE PUMPS WHEN THE LOW PRESSURE FAULT LIGHT(S) (ON PANEL 40VU) COME ON, TO PREVENT OPERATION OF THE PUMPS(S) WITHOUT FUEL ('DRY RUNNING'). OPERATION OF THE PUMPS WITHOUT FUEL CAN CAUSE A FIRE.

(4) Remove the ground support and maintenance equipment, the special and standard tools and all other items.
