B. Get Access
(1) Do the special precautions before work on the offwing escape-slide system (Ref. AMM TASK 25-62-00-481-001).
(2) In the aft cargo compartment:
(a) Do not close the access panel(s):

(b) Remove the emergency exit-frame linings:

B. Get Access
(1) Do the special precautions before work on the offwing escape-slide system (Ref. AMM TASK 25-62-00-481-001).
(2) Open the overwing emergency exits (Ref. AMM TASK 52-22-00-010-802).
(3) Remove the emergency exit-frame linings (Ref. AMM TASK 25-23-47-000-803).
(4) Remove the related overhead stowage compartments (Ref. AMM TASK 25-24-41-000-001).
4. Procedure(1) Do the special precautions before work on the offwing escape-slide system (Ref. AMM TASK 25-62-00-481-001).
(2) Open the overwing emergency exits (Ref. AMM TASK 52-22-00-010-802).
(3) Remove the emergency exit-frame linings (Ref. AMM TASK 25-23-47-000-803).
(4) Remove the related overhead stowage compartments (Ref. AMM TASK 25-24-41-000-001).
Subtask 25-62-00-010-078-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
A. Removal of the Upper and Lower Connections from the Flexible Control Assembly 5000WM (5001WM)
(a) Remove and discard the lockwire from the knurled sleeve nut (16).
(b) Carefully loosen the knurled sleeve nut (16) and remove the collets from the cable joint.
(c) Disconnect the flexible control assembly (8) from the release cable assembly (14).
(2) In the passenger compartment:
(a) Remove and discard the cotter pin (13).
(b) Remove the pin (2) and the washers (3) and disconnect the flexible control assembly (8) from the bellcrank (1).
(c) Remove and discard the lockwire and loosen the conduit adjust nuts (7) and (6).
(d) Remove the bolt (9), the washer (5) and the nut (4).
(e) Remove the bolt (10), the nut (12) and the flange (11).
(f) Remove the remaining sealant from the flange (11), the bolts (9) and (10) and the nuts (4) and (12).
Subtask 25-62-00-640-050-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL WARNING:
MAKE SURE THAT THE LOCK PIN IS CORRECTLY INSTALLED IN THE REGULATOR VALVE ASSEMBLY OF THE INFLATION RESERVOIR. THIS SAFETIES ALL COMPONENTS OF THE INFLATION SYSTEM IN OPERATION AND PREVENTS ACCIDENTAL:
- DISCHARGE OF THE INFLATION RESERVOIR
- DEPLOYMENT OF THE ESCAPE SLIDE
WARNING:
USE PROTECTIVE GOGGLES AND GLOVES WHEN YOU REMOVE OR INSTALL LOCKWIRE. EACH TIME YOU CUT LOCKWIRE, REMOVE AND DISCARD IT IMMEDIATELY. LOOSE LOCKWIRE CAN CUT YOU OR MAKE YOU BLIND, AND/OR CAN CAUSE DAMAGE.
(1) In the aft cargo compartment: (a) Remove and discard the lockwire from the knurled sleeve nut (16).
(b) Carefully loosen the knurled sleeve nut (16) and remove the collets from the cable joint.
(c) Disconnect the flexible control assembly (8) from the release cable assembly (14).
(2) In the passenger compartment:
(a) Remove and discard the cotter pin (13).
(b) Remove the pin (2) and the washers (3) and disconnect the flexible control assembly (8) from the bellcrank (1).
(c) Remove and discard the lockwire and loosen the conduit adjust nuts (7) and (6).
(d) Remove the bolt (9), the washer (5) and the nut (4).
(e) Remove the bolt (10), the nut (12) and the flange (11).
(f) Remove the remaining sealant from the flange (11), the bolts (9) and (10) and the nuts (4) and (12).
B. Lubrication of the Flexible Control Assembly
(1) In the aft cargo compartment:
(a) Connect a VACUUM EQUIPMENT 0 TO 1 BAR (15 PSI) to the lower end of the flexible control assembly 5000WM (5001WM).
(2) In the passenger compartment:
(a) Apply Corrosion Preventive Compound-Water Displacing Oily Film System (Material No.12ABE2) into the upper end of the flexible control assembly 5000WM (5001WM) with a CAN - OIL.
(b) Operate the flexible control assembly 5000WM (5001WM) several times with your hand to support the lubricant flow.
(c) If necessary add more lubricant.
(3) In the aft cargo compartment:
(a) Remove the vacuum equipment.
Subtask 25-62-00-410-071-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL (1) In the aft cargo compartment:
(a) Connect a VACUUM EQUIPMENT 0 TO 1 BAR (15 PSI) to the lower end of the flexible control assembly 5000WM (5001WM).
(2) In the passenger compartment:
(a) Apply Corrosion Preventive Compound-Water Displacing Oily Film System (Material No.12ABE2) into the upper end of the flexible control assembly 5000WM (5001WM) with a CAN - OIL.
(b) Operate the flexible control assembly 5000WM (5001WM) several times with your hand to support the lubricant flow.
(c) If necessary add more lubricant.
(3) In the aft cargo compartment:
(a) Remove the vacuum equipment.
C. Installation of the Upper and Lower Connections in/on the Flexible Control Assembly 5000WM (5001WM)
(a) Apply Polysulfide Sealant-Low Adhesion Brushable - (Material No.06AEA1) to the flange (11), bolts (9) and (10) and the nuts (4) and (12).
(b) Put the flange (11) in position and install the bolt (10) and the nut (12).
(c) Install the bolt (9), the washer (5) and the nut (4).
(d) Tighten the bolts (9) and (10).
(e) Tighten the conduit adjust nuts (7) and (6).
(f) Connect the flexible control assembly (8) to the bellcrank (1).
(g) Install the pin (2) and the washers (3) and safety with a new AIPC 25-62-04-10-070 COTTER PIN (13) or AIPC 25-62-84-30-070 COTTER PIN (13).
(2) In the aft cargo compartment:
(a) Connect the flexible control assembly (8) to the release cable assembly (14).
(b) Install the collets on the cable joint and make sure that the slots in the collets point to you.
(c) Tighten the knurled sleeve nut (16) and make sure that the inner cable stays connected.
Subtask 25-62-00-010-078-D ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL WARNING:
MAKE SURE THAT THE LOCK PIN IS CORRECTLY INSTALLED IN THE REGULATOR VALVE ASSEMBLY OF THE INFLATION RESERVOIR. THIS SAFETIES ALL COMPONENTS OF THE INFLATION SYSTEM IN OPERATION AND PREVENTS ACCIDENTAL:

- DEPLOYMENT OF THE ESCAPE SLIDE
WARNING:
BE CAREFUL WHEN YOU USE CONSUMABLE MATERIALS. OBEY THE MATERIAL MANUFACTURER'S INSTRUCTIONS AND YOUR LOCAL REGULATIONS.
(1) In the passenger compartment: (a) Apply Polysulfide Sealant-Low Adhesion Brushable - (Material No.06AEA1) to the flange (11), bolts (9) and (10) and the nuts (4) and (12).
(b) Put the flange (11) in position and install the bolt (10) and the nut (12).
(c) Install the bolt (9), the washer (5) and the nut (4).
(d) Tighten the bolts (9) and (10).
(e) Tighten the conduit adjust nuts (7) and (6).
(f) Connect the flexible control assembly (8) to the bellcrank (1).
(g) Install the pin (2) and the washers (3) and safety with a new AIPC 25-62-04-10-070 COTTER PIN (13) or AIPC 25-62-84-30-070 COTTER PIN (13).
(2) In the aft cargo compartment:
(a) Connect the flexible control assembly (8) to the release cable assembly (14).
(b) Install the collets on the cable joint and make sure that the slots in the collets point to you.
(c) Tighten the knurled sleeve nut (16) and make sure that the inner cable stays connected.
D. Removal of the Upper and Lower Connections from the Flexible Control Assembly
(2) Carefully loosen the knurled sleeve nut (11) and remove the collets from the cable joint.
(3) Disconnect the flexible control assembly (10) from the release cable assembly (12).
(4) Remove and discard the cotter pin (7).
(5) Remove the nut (6), bolt (8), washers (5) and bushings (4) and (9) and disconnect the flexible control assembly (3).
(6) Remove and discard the lockwire and loosen the conduit adjust nuts (1).

(1) Remove and discard the lockwire from the knurled sleeve nut (11). (2) Carefully loosen the knurled sleeve nut (11) and remove the collets from the cable joint.
(3) Disconnect the flexible control assembly (10) from the release cable assembly (12).
(4) Remove and discard the cotter pin (7).
(5) Remove the nut (6), bolt (8), washers (5) and bushings (4) and (9) and disconnect the flexible control assembly (3).
(6) Remove and discard the lockwire and loosen the conduit adjust nuts (1).
E. Lubrication of the Flexible Control Assembly
(1) Connect a VACUUM EQUIPMENT 0 TO 1 BAR (15 PSI) to the reservoir end of the flexible control assembly 5000WM (5001WM).
(2) Apply Corrosion Preventive Compound-Water Displacing Oily Film System (Material No.12ABE2) into the door end of the flexible control assembly 5000WM (5001WM) with a CAN - OIL.
(3) Operate the flexible control assembly 5000WM (5001WM) several times with your hand to support the lubricant flow.
(4) If necessary add more lubricant.
(5) Remove the vacuum equipment.
Subtask 25-62-00-410-071-E ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL (1) Connect a VACUUM EQUIPMENT 0 TO 1 BAR (15 PSI) to the reservoir end of the flexible control assembly 5000WM (5001WM).
(2) Apply Corrosion Preventive Compound-Water Displacing Oily Film System (Material No.12ABE2) into the door end of the flexible control assembly 5000WM (5001WM) with a CAN - OIL.
(3) Operate the flexible control assembly 5000WM (5001WM) several times with your hand to support the lubricant flow.
(4) If necessary add more lubricant.
(5) Remove the vacuum equipment.
F. Installation of the Upper and Lower Connections in/on the Flexible Control Assembly 5000WM (5001WM)
(2) Tighten the conduit adjust nuts (1).
(3) Safety the conduit adjust nuts (1) with a14QFB1 Wire-Locking Dia: 0.8 mm CRES Nickel Alloy - (Ref. AMM TASK 20-11-11-911-001).
(4) Connect the flexible control assembly (3) and install the bolt (8), bushings (4) and (9), washers (5) and nut (6).
(5) Install a new cotter pin (7).
(6) Connect the flexible control assembly (10) to the release cable assembly (12).
(7) Install the collets and tighten the knurled sleeve nut (11).
(a) Install the collets on the cable joint and make sure that the slots in the collets point to you.
(b) Tighten the the knurled sleeve nut (11) and make sure that the inner cable stays connected.
(8) Safety the knurled sleeve nut (11) with a14QFB1 Wire-Locking Dia: 0.8 mm CRES Nickel Alloy - (Ref. AMM TASK 20-11-11-911-001).
5. Close-upWARNING:
MAKE SURE THAT THE LOCK PIN IS CORRECTLY INSTALLED IN THE REGULATOR VALVE ASSEMBLY OF THE INFLATION RESERVOIR. THIS SAFETIES ALL COMPONENTS OF THE INFLATION SYSTEM IN OPERATION AND PREVENTS ACCIDENTAL:
- DISCHARGE OF THE INFLATION RESERVOIR
- DEPLOYMENT OF THE ESCAPE SLIDE
WARNING:

(1) Make sure that the flexible control assembly (3) is in its correct position on the bracket (2). (2) Tighten the conduit adjust nuts (1).

(5) Install a new cotter pin (7).
(6) Connect the flexible control assembly (10) to the release cable assembly (12).

(a) Install the collets on the cable joint and make sure that the slots in the collets point to you.
(b) Tighten the the knurled sleeve nut (11) and make sure that the inner cable stays connected.
