3. Job Set-up
Subtask 25-23-47-860-082-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
A. Aircraft Maintenance Configuration
   (1) Energize the ground service network
(Ref. AMM TASK 24-42-00-861-001).
   (2) On the overhead panel, on the SIGNS section of panel 25VU, make sure that EMER EXIT LT switch 4WL is in the OFF position.
   (3) On Flight Attendant Panel (FAP) 120RH, make sure that the LIGHT EMER switch is in the OFF position.
   (4) Make sure that the WARNING NOTICE(S) is (are) in position on panels 25VU and 120RH to tell persons not to operate switch 4WL and the LIGHT EMER switch.
   (5) Obey the special precaution when you do work on the offwing escape-slide system (Ref. AMM TASK 25-62-00-481-001).
   (6) Remove the applicable passenger seats (Ref. AMM TASK 25-21-41-000-001).

4. Procedure
Subtask 25-23-47-020-136-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
A. Removal of the Door Lining from the Overwing Emergency Exit
NOTE: The removal procedure is the same for the left and right door linings of the overwing emergency exits.
   (1) Make match marks on the components that you disconnect/remove to record their connections/positions. This is important for the subsequent installation procedure.
   (2) Open the flap (1) and carefully remove it.
   (3) Disarm the slide-release system:
     (a) For overwing emergency-exit door 833 ( 844):
       1 Push the shaft (18) to the right and turn the shaft (18) until the unlock lever (19) is behind the disarm bracket (22).
     (b) For overwing emergency-exit door 834 ( 843):
       1 Push the shaft (18) to the left and turn the shaft (18) until the lever (19) is behind the disarm bracket (22).
     (c) Make sure that the spring (17) holds the lever (19) with the shaft (18) behind the disarm bracket (22).
NOTE: The white SLIDE ARMED indicator goes off when the unlock lever (19) of the forward and aft overwing emergency exits are in the disarmed position.
   (4) Remove the plugs (16), screws (15), washers (14) and eccentric bushes (13) and (12).
   (5) Remove the screws (10), the washers (11) and the panel (5).
   (6) If necessary, remove the cover (9):
     (a) Open the related emergency exit door (Ref. AMM TASK 52-22-00-010-802).
     (b) Remove the screws (7), the washers (8) and the cover (9).
