Apply Temporary Protection to End Fittings of Electrical Conduits in Wing Tip

A. De-energize the aircraft electrical circuits
(Ref. AMM TASK 24-41-00-862-002).

B. Connect the aircraft to the ground (Ref. AMM TASK 12-34-24-869-002).

C. Get Access
   (1) Put the ACCESS PLATFORM 3M (10 FT)- ADJUSTABLE in position at the wing tip.
   (2) For the left wing:
     (a) Remove access panel 534AB.
   (3) For the right wing:
     (a) Remove access panel 634AB.
   (4) Remove wing-tip navigation light 9LA (10LA) (Ref. AMM TASK 33-41-11-000-001).
   (5) Remove the sharklet strobe light (Ref. AMM TASK 33-48-14-000-001).

C. Get Access
   (1) Put the ACCESS PLATFORM 3M (10 FT)- ADJUSTABLE in position at the wing tip.
   (2) For the left wing:
     (a) Remove access panels 534BB and 534CB (Ref. AMM TASK 57-31-23-000-802).
   (3) For the right wing:
     (a) Remove access panels 634BB and 634CB (Ref. AMM TASK 57-31-23-000-802).
   (4) Remove wing-tip navigation light 9LA (10LA) (Ref. AMM TASK 33-41-11-000-802).
   (5) Remove the sharklet strobe light (Ref. AMM TASK 33-48-14-000-802).

A. Temporary Protection of the Electrical Conduits End-Fittings in the Wing Tip

WARNING: BE CAREFUL NOT TO CUT YOUR FINGERS. FLAKES OF NICKEL ARE SHARP.
   (1) To prevent corrosion, do the steps that follow at each fitting:
     (a) Remove contamination from the fitting with the Textile-Lint free Cotton - (Material No.14SBA1) made moist with Non Aqueous Cleaner-General - - (Material No.08BAA9) .
     (b) Remove the flakes or blisters and make sure that the you do not damage the base metal while you do this task.
NOTE: We recommend that you use a dental tool or a seal tool (non metallic) to remove the flakes and the blisters.
     (c) Apply a continuous thin and smooth layer of Corrosion Preventive Compound-Heavy Duty Hard Film - (Material No.12ACB1) on all the fittings with the BRUSH - BRISTLED or the SPRAY - BOTTLE, PUMP TYPE (NON AEROSOL) ESPM 203330.

A. Close Access
   (1) Install the sharklet strobe light (Ref. AMM TASK 33-48-14-400-001).
   (2) Install wing-tip navigation light 9LA (10LA) (Ref. AMM TASK 33-41-11-400-001).
   (3) Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tools and other items.
   (4) For the left wing:
     (a) Install access panel 534AB.
     (b) Make sure that access panel 534AB is installed with the drain holes in the inboard direction (Ref. AMM D/O 57-39-00-00).
   (5) For the right wing:
     (a) Install access panel 634AB.
     (b) Make sure that access panel 634AB is installed with the drain holes in the inboard direction (Ref. AMM D/O 57-39-00-00).
   (6) Disconnect the aircraft from the ground (Ref. AMM TASK 12-34-24-869-002).
   (7) Remove the access platform(s).
Subtask 24-92-00-410-055-C ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
A. Close Access
   (1) Install the sharklet strobe light (Ref. AMM TASK 33-48-14-400-802).
   (2) Install wing-tip navigation light 9LA (10LA) (Ref. AMM TASK 33-41-11-400-802).
   (3) Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tools and other items.
   (4) For the left wing:
     (a) Install access panels 534BB and 534CB (Ref. AMM TASK 57-31-23-400-802).
   (5) For the right wing:
     (a) Install access panels 634BB and 634CB (Ref. AMM TASK 57-31-23-400-802).
   (6) Disconnect the aircraft from the ground (Ref. AMM TASK 12-34-24-869-002).
   (7) Remove the access platform(s).
