3. Job Set-up
Subtask 57-31-23-941-053-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
A. Safety Precautions
   (1) Make sure that the SAFETY BARRIER(S) are in position.
   (2) Make sure that the 98D27803500001 LOCKING TOOL ZERO POS is installed on the flap/slat control lever.
   (3) Make sure that the WARNING NOTICE(S) is in position in the cockpit to tell persons not to operate the flaps, slats, navigation or strobe lights.

B. Get Access
   (1) Make sure that the ACCESS PLATFORM 6M (20 FT) - ADJUSTABLE is in position below the applicable zone 534(634).
4. Procedure
Subtask 57-31-23-420-053-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
A. Preparation for Installation
   (1) Use a SCRAPER - NON METALLIC to remove the sealant from the mating surfaces of the access panel.
   (2) Clean the component interfaces and/or the adjacent area with a Textile-Lint free Cotton - (Material No.14SBA1) made moist with Non Aqueous Cleaner-General - - (Material No.08BAA9) .
   (3) Do an inspection of the component interfaces and the adjacent area.
   (4) Make sure that the parts retained from the removed component are clean and in the correct condition.

B. Installation of the Sharklet Access Panels
CAUTION: MAKE SURE THAT YOU INSTALL EACH OF THE SCREWS IN ITS CORRECT POSITION. THE SCREWS HAVE DIFFERENT LENGTHS. IF YOU DO NOT INSTALL EACH OF THE SCREWS IN ITS CORRECT POSITION, YOU CAN CAUSE DAMAGE.
   (1) For sharklet access panel 534BB( 634BB):
     (a) Apply Polysulfide Sealant-General Purpose Interfay - (Material No.06AAC1) to the sharklet leading edge panel surfaces, interfacing with buttstrap and/or flanges.
     (b) Hold the sharklet access panel (6) in position.
     (c) Apply a layer of Non Hardening Jointing Putty-Medium Temp. Area - - (Material No.06LCG9) on the shank and the bottom of the heads of all the screws (1), (2), (3), (4), (5) and (7).
     (d) Loosely install the screws (1), (2), (3), (4), (5) and (7) in the correct positions.
     (e) Tighten the screws (1), (2), (3), (4), (5) and (7).
     (f) Do the electrical bonding test at the bonded screws (2) and (5), between the sharklet access panel (6) and the wing structure (Ref. AMM TASK 20-28-00-912-802).
     (g) Apply Polysulfide Sealant-General Purpose Interfay - (Material No.06AAC1) on the interface between the sharklet access panel (6), the sharklet and the wing.
   (2) For sharklet access panel 534DB( 634DB):
     (a) Apply Polysulfide Sealant-General Purpose Interfay - (Material No.06AAC1) to the sharklet trailing edge panel surfaces, interfacing with buttstrap and/or flanges.
     (b) Hold the sharklet access panels (8) in position.
     (c) Apply a layer of Non Hardening Jointing Putty-Medium Temp. Area - - (Material No.06LCG9) on the shank and the bottom of the heads of all the screws (4), (9), (10), (11), and (12).
     (d) Loosely install the screws (4), (9), (10), (11) and (12) in the correct positions.
     (e) Tighten the screws (4), (9), (10), (11) and (12).
     (f) Apply Polysulfide Sealant-General Purpose Interfay - (Material No.06AAC1) on the interface between the sharklet access panel (8), the sharklet and the wing.
   (3) For sharklet access panel 534CB( 634CB):
     (a) Hold the sharklet access panel (13) in position.
     (b) Apply a layer of Non Hardening Jointing Putty-Medium Temp. Area - - (Material No.06LCG9) on the shank and the bottom of the heads of the screws (14).
     (c) Loosely install the screws (14) in the correct positions.
     (d) Tighten the screws (14).
     (e) Apply Polysulfide Sealant-General Purpose Interfay - (Material No.06AAC1) on the interface between the sharklet access panel (13), the sharklet and the wing.
5. Close-up
Subtask 57-31-23-942-051-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
A. Removal of Equipment
   (1) Remove the 98D27803500001 LOCKING TOOL ZERO POS from the flap/slat control lever.
   (2) Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tools and other items.
   (3) Remove the access platform(s).
   (4) Remove the WARNING NOTICE(S).
   (5) Remove the SAFETY BARRIER(S).
   (6) Remove the ground support and maintenance equipment, the special and standard tools and all other items.
