4. Procedure
Subtask 22-10-00-710-051-C
A. Do this test:
NOTE: You can ignore the warnings related to this test.
NOTE: If the results of the test are not satisfactory, it is necessary to do the troubleshooting procedure TSM 22-11-00-810-835.
ACTION
RESULT
1.On the Flight Control Unit (FCU), on glareshield 13VU:
  • Make sure that the FD pushbutton switches are pushed.
On the top section of the CAPT and F/O PFDs:
  • The white "1FD2" indication comes into view.
2.Open circuit breaker 10CA2.
On the F/O PFD:
  • The "1FD1" indication comes into view.
3.Move one pedal to operate the rudder pedals until its mechanical stop.
  • Do the same for the other pedal.
On the SD, on the "F/CTL" page:
  • The rudder moves in relation to the command.
  • You can feel the usual resistance on the rudder pedals.
4.Make sure that when you move the CAPT(F/O) rudder pedal, the F/O(CAPT) rudder pedal moves in the same direction.

5.Move the rudder pedals to the neutral position.

6.Move the CAPT side-stick controller around its axis and then to zero.
The side stick controller moves freely.
7.Move the F/O side-stick controller around its axis and then to zero.
The side stick controller moves freely.
8.On the FCU:
  • Push the AP1 pushbutton switch to engage AP1.
  • Make sure that the FD pushbutton switch is engaged.
The green light of the pushbutton switch is on.
AP1 engages.
9.Apply the usual load on the rudder pedals (do not override the rudder pedal resistance not to disengage the autopilot).
You can feel a resistance on the rudder pedals.
NOTE: Rudder pedals give the autopilot engagement threshold.
10.Apply a load on the rudder pedals to override the rudder pedal resistance.
AP1 disengages.
11.Move the rudder pedals to the neutral position.

12.Engage AP1 again.
The green light of the pushbutton switch is on.
13.On the F/O side-stick controller:
  • Move the side stick controller to its mechanical stop.
  • Apply a load on the side stick controller to override the rudder pedal resistance.
The side stick controller is locked.
You can feel the usual resistance on the side stick controller.
AP1 disengages.
14.Move the F/O side-stick controller to the neutral position.

15.Engage AP1 again.
The green light of the pushbutton switch is on.
16.Do step 13 with the CAPT side-stick controller.
The results are the same as those of step 13.
17.Move the CAPT side-stick controller to the neutral position.

18.Close circuit breaker 10CA2.

19.After the safety test, make sure that FD2 engages.
On the F/O PFD:
  • The "1FD2" indication comes into view.
20.Open circuit breaker 10CA1.
On the CAPT PFD:
  • The "2FD2" indication comes into view.
21.Engage AP2.
The green light of the pushbutton switch is on.
22.Apply the usual load on the rudder pedals (do not override the rudder pedal resistance not to disengage the autopilot).
You can feel a resistance on the rudder pedals.
NOTE: Rudder pedals give the autopilot engagement threshold.
23.Apply a load on the rudder pedals to override the rudder pedal resistance.
AP2 disengages.
24.Release the rudder pedals to the neutral position.

25.Engage AP2 again.
The green light of the pushbutton switch is on.
26.On the F/O side-stick controller:
  • Move the side stick controller to its mechanical stop.
  • Apply a load on the side stick controller to override the resistance.
The side stick controller is locked.
AP2 disengages.
27.Move the F/O side-stick controller to the neutral position.

28.Engage AP2 again.
The green light of the pushbutton switch is on.
29.Do step 26 with the CAPT side-stick controller.
The results are the same as those of step 26.
30.Move the CAPT side-stick controller to the neutral position.

31.Close circuit breaker 10CA1.

32.After the safety test, make sure that FD1 engages.
On the CAPT PFD:
