This procedure gives the cold weather maintenance practices for the doors.
NOTE: It is recommended to use lithium based greases for the cold weather maintenance procedures as an alternative to clay based greases.

A. Get Access
   (1) Do not open the applicable passenger/crew door (Ref. AMM TASK 52-10-00-010-001) until immediately before you start the winter preparation procedure in cold weather area.
   (2) Do not remove the applicable emergency exit hatch (Ref. AMM TASK 52-21-11-000-001) until immediately before you start the winter preparation procedure in cold weather area.
   (3) Do not open the FWD or AFT cargo-compartment door (Ref. AMM TASK 52-30-00-860-001) until immediately before you start the winter preparation procedure in cold weather area.
Subtask 12-31-52-010-050-B ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
A. Get Access
   (1) Do not open the applicable passenger/crew door (Ref. AMM TASK 52-10-00-010-001) until immediately before you start the winter preparation procedure in cold weather areas.
   (2) Do not open the applicable emergency exit door (Ref. AMM TASK 52-22-00-010-001) until immediately before you start the winter preparation procedure in cold weather areas.
   (3) Do not open the forward or aft cargo-compartment door (Ref. AMM TASK 52-30-00-860-001) until immediately before you start the winter preparation procedure in cold weather areas.
   (4) Do not open the bulk cargo-compartment door (Ref. AMM TASK 52-30-00-860-006) until immediately before you start the winter preparation procedure in cold weather areas.
Subtask 12-31-52-010-050-C ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
A. Get Access
   (1) Do not open the applicable passenger/crew door until you start the winter preparation procedure in cold weather areas (Ref. AMM TASK 52-10-00-010-001).
   (2) Do not open the applicable emergency exit door until you start the winter preparation procedure in cold weather areas (Ref. AMM TASK 52-21-11-000-001).
   (3) Do not open the forward or aft cargo-compartment door until you start the winter preparation procedure in cold weather areas (Ref. AMM TASK 52-30-00-860-001).
   (4) Do not open the bulk cargo-compartment door until you start the winter preparation procedure in cold weather areas (Ref. AMM TASK 52-30-00-860-006).

A. Get Access
   (1) Do not open the applicable passenger/crew door until you start the winter preparation procedure in cold weather areas (Ref. AMM TASK 52-10-00-010-001).
   (2) Do not open the applicable emergency exit door until you start the winter preparation procedure in cold weather areas (Ref. AMM TASK 52-22-00-010-001).
   (3) Do not open the applicable overwing emergency-exit door until you start the winter preparation procedure in cold weather areas (Ref. AMM TASK 52-22-00-010-802).
   (4) Do not open the forward or aft cargo-compartment door until you start the winter preparation procedure in cold weather areas (Ref. AMM TASK 52-30-00-860-001).
   (5) Do not open the bulk cargo-compartment door until you start the winter preparation procedure in cold weather areas (Ref. AMM TASK 52-30-00-860-006).
4. Procedure
Subtask 12-31-52-640-050-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
A. Winter Preparation on the Passenger Crew Doors and the Emergency Exit Hatches
   (1) Do the winter preparation on the passenger/crew door as follows:
     (a) Lubricate the safety-pin guide fitting and the door arming/disarming mechanism (Ref. AMM TASK 12-22-52-640-014).
NOTE: If the AMM task 12-22-52-640-014-A was done during the last winter, then it is not necessary to do this task until the next cold weather maintenance.
     (b) Make sure that the inflation holes of the door seal are clear and have no blockage.
     (c) Clean the components of the passenger/crew door that follow with a clean Textile-Lint free Cotton - (Material No.14SBA1) and Non Aqueous Cleaner-General - - (Material No.08BAA9) :
  • The upper and lower door guide fittings
  • The roller fittings
  • The guide rollers.
     (d) Apply Silicone base Grease-General Purpose - - (Material No.03JBA1) to the upper and lower door guide fittings, the roller fittings and the guide rollers.
     (e) Clean the door seal and its mating surface on the fuselage with a clean Textile-Lint free Cotton - (Material No.14SBA1) and Non Aqueous Cleaner-General - - (Material No.08BAA9) .
     (f) Apply Silicone base Grease-- Paste - (Material No.03JAB1) or Silicone base Grease-Mechanisms and Seals - - (Material No.03JCA9) to the door seal and its mating surface on the fuselage.
     (g) Apply Corrosion Preventive Compound_Water Displacing Soft Film - (Material No.12ABC1) to these areas of the passenger/crew door:
  • The inner surface and the structure of the handle housing
  • The external control handle.
     (h) Do not apply temporary protective compound to the mechanism of the external control handle and the related outer handle grip.
     (i) Make sure that the mechanism of the external control handle is sufficiently lubricated (Ref. AMM TASK 12-22-52-640-006).
     (j) Make sure that the girt bar fittings in the entry area are clear and have no blockage.
   (2) Close the related passenger/crew door immediately after you complete the winter preparation (Ref. AMM TASK 52-10-00-410-001).
   (3) Do the winter preparation on the emergency exit hatch (referred to as hatch) as follows:
     (a) Clean the components of the hatch that follow with a clean Textile-Lint free Cotton - (Material No.14SBA1) and Non Aqueous Cleaner-General - - (Material No.08BAA9) :
  • The lower hook brackets
  • The lateral guide fittings.
     (b) Apply Silicone base Grease-General Purpose - - (Material No.03JBA1) to the lower hook brackets and the lateral guide fittings.
     (c) Clean the upper and lower pivot fittings of the hatch frame with a clean Textile-Lint free Cotton - (Material No.14SBA1) and Non Aqueous Cleaner-General - - (Material No.08BAA9) .
     (d) Apply Silicone base Grease-General Purpose - - (Material No.03JBA1) to the upper and lower pivot fittings.
     (e) Clean the hatch seal and its mating surface on the fuselage with a clean Textile-Lint free Cotton - (Material No.14SBA1) and Non Aqueous Cleaner-General - - (Material No.08BAA9) .
     (f) Apply Silicone base Grease-- Paste - (Material No.03JAB1) or Silicone base Grease-Mechanisms and Seals - - (Material No.03JCA9) to the hatch seal and its mating surface on the fuselage.
     (g) Apply Corrosion Preventive Compound_Water Displacing Soft Film - (Material No.12ABC1) to the inner surface and the structure of the hatch around the hatch control handle.
   (4) Install the related emergency exit hatch immediately after you complete the winter preparation (Ref. AMM TASK 52-21-11-400-001).
Subtask 12-31-52-640-050-B ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
A. Winter Preparation of the Passenger/Crew and Emergency Exit Doors
   (1) Make sure that the inflation holes of the door seal are clear and have no blockage.
   (2) Lubricate the safety-pin guide fitting and the door arming/disarming mechanism (Ref. AMM TASK 12-22-52-640-014).
NOTE: If the AMM task 12-22-52-640-014-A was done during the last winter, then it is not necessary to do this task until the next cold weather maintenance.
   (3) Clean the components of the passenger/crew door or the emergency exit door that follow with a clean Textile-Lint free Cotton - (Material No.14SBA1) and Non Aqueous Cleaner-General - - (Material No.08BAA9) :
  • The upper and lower door guide fittings
  • The roller fittings
  • The guide rollers.
   (4) Apply Silicone base Grease-General Purpose - - (Material No.03JBA1) to the upper and lower door guide fittings, the roller fittings and the guide rollers.
   (5) Clean the door seal and its mating surface on the fuselage with a clean Textile-Lint free Cotton - (Material No.14SBA1) and Non Aqueous Cleaner-General - - (Material No.08BAA9) .
   (6) Apply Silicone base Grease-- Paste - (Material No.03JAB1) or Silicone base Grease-Mechanisms and Seals - - (Material No.03JCA9) to the door seal and its mating surface on the fuselage.
   (7) Apply Corrosion Preventive Compound_Water Displacing Soft Film - (Material No.12ABC1) to these areas of the passenger/crew door or the emergency exit door:
  • The inner surface and the structure of the handle housing
  • The external control handle.
   (8) Do not apply temporary protective compound to the mechanism of the external control handle and the related outer handle grip.
   (9) Make sure that the mechanism of the external control handle is sufficiently lubricated (Ref. AMM TASK 12-22-52-640-006).
   (10) Make sure that the girt bar fittings in the entry area of the related passenger/crew door are clear and have no blockage.
   (11) Close the related passenger/crew door or the emergency exit hatch immediately after you complete the winter preparation (Ref. AMM TASK 52-10-00-410-001) or (Ref. AMM TASK 52-22-00-410-001).
Subtask 12-31-52-640-050-C ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
A. Winter Preparation on the Passenger/Crew Door, the Emergency Exit Door and the Overwing Emergency-Exit Door
   (1) Do the winter preparation on the applicable passenger/crew door and the applicable emergency exit door as follows:
     (a) Lubricate the safety-pin guide fitting and the door arming/disarming mechanism (Ref. AMM TASK 12-22-52-640-014).
NOTE: If this step was done during the last winter, then it is not necessary to do this step until the next cold weather maintenance.
     (b) Make sure that the inflation holes of the door seal are clear.
     (c) Clean the components of the passenger/crew door and the emergency exit door that follow with the Textile-Lint free Cotton - (Material No.14SBA1) made moist with Non Aqueous Cleaner-General - - (Material No.08BAA9) :
  • The upper and lower door-guide fittings
  • The roller fittings
  • The guide rollers.
     (d) Apply Silicone base Grease-General Purpose - - (Material No.03JBA1) on the upper and lower door-guide fittings, the roller fittings and the guide rollers.
     (e) Clean the door seal and its mating surface with the fuselage with the Textile-Lint free Cotton - (Material No.14SBA1) made moist with Non Aqueous Cleaner-General - - (Material No.08BAA9) .
     (f) Apply Silicone base Grease-- Paste - (Material No.03JAB1) or Silicone base Grease-Mechanisms and Seals - - (Material No.03JCA9) on the door seal and its mating surface with the fuselage.
     (g) Apply the Corrosion Preventive Compound_Water Displacing Soft Film - (Material No.12ABC1) on the areas that follow of the passenger/crew door or the emergency exit door:
  • The inner surface and the structure of the handle housing
  • The external control handle.
     (h) Do not apply temporary protective compound on the mechanism of the external control handle and the related outer handle grip.
     (i) Make sure that the mechanism of the external control handle is sufficiently lubricated (Ref. AMM TASK 12-22-52-640-006).
     (j) Make sure that the girt bar fittings in the entrance area are clear.
     (k) Close the passenger/crew door and the emergency exit door immediately after you complete the winter preparation (Ref. AMM TASK 52-10-00-410-001) and (Ref. AMM TASK 52-22-00-410-001).
   (2) Do the winter preparation on the applicable overwing emergency-exit door as follows:
     (a) Open the overwing emergency-exit door (Ref. AMM TASK 52-22-00-010-802).
     (b) Clean the vent flap seal with the Textile-Lint free Cotton - (Material No.14SBA1) .
     (c) Make sure that the inflation holes of the door seal are clear.
     (d) Clean the locking hooks, the latch rollers and the hinges of the overwing emergency-exit door with the Textile-Lint free Cotton - (Material No.14SBA1) made moist with Non Aqueous Cleaner-General - - (Material No.08BAA9) .
     (e) Clean the overwing emergency-exit door-seal and its mating surface with the fuselage with the Textile-Lint free Cotton - (Material No.14SBA1) made moist with Non Aqueous Cleaner-General - - (Material No.08BAA9) .
     (f) Close the overwing emergency-exit door immediately after you complete the winter preparation (Ref. AMM TASK 52-22-00-410-802).
Subtask 12-31-52-640-051-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
B. Winter Preparation of the Forward and Aft Cargo-Compartment Doors
   (1) Remove access panel 825AR or 826AR from the cargo doors.
   (2) Make sure that the inflation holes of the door seal are clear and have no obstruction.
   (3) Clean the components of the related cargo-compartment doors that follow with the Textile-Lint free Cotton - (Material No.14SBA1) and Non Aqueous Cleaner-General - - (Material No.08BAA9) :
  • The pressure seals and their mating surfaces on the fuselage
  • The vent door seals and their mating surfaces around the door cut-out
  • The external door handle mechanism
  • The door hinges and the guide fittings of the fuselage
  • The internal mechanism of the vent door, the locking mechanism and the latching mechanism.
   (4) Apply Silicone base Grease-- Paste - (Material No.03JAB1) on the mating surface of the seals around the vent door and fuselage.
   (5) Apply Silicone base Grease-Mechanisms and Seals - - (Material No.03JCA9) or Mineral Oil base Grease-- Vaseline or Petrolatum - (Material No.03FAB1) on the vent door seal.
   (6) Apply Mineral Oil base Grease-- Vaseline or Petrolatum - (Material No.03FAB1) on the cargo door seal.
   (7) Make sure that the related cargo door is sufficiently lubricated (Ref. AMM TASK 12-22-52-640-002).
   (8) Apply Corrosion Preventive Compound_Water Displacing Soft Film - (Material No.12ABC1) or Corrosion Preventive Compound-Water Displacing Hard Film - (Material No.12ABB1) on the door mechanism.
   (9) Apply Corrosion Preventive Compound_Water Displacing Soft Film - (Material No.12ABC1) as a spray on the lower internal bays of the doors.
   (10) Make sure that the electrical components, the bearings and other movable parts stay without temporary protective compound.
   (11) Close the related cargo-compartment door immediately after you completed the winter preparation (Ref. AMM TASK 52-10-00-410-001).
   (12) Install access panel 825AR or 826AR on the cargo doors.
Subtask 12-31-52-640-051-B ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
B. Winter Preparation of the Forward, Aft and Bulk Cargo-Compartment Doors
   (1) Do the winter preparation on the forward and aft cargo-compartment doors (referred to as the doors) as follows:
     (a) Remove access panel 825AR and 826AR from the cargo doors.
     (b) Make sure that the inflation holes of the door seal are clear and have no obstruction.
     (c) Clean the components of the doors that follow with the Textile-Lint free Cotton - (Material No.14SBA1) and Non Aqueous Cleaner-General - - (Material No.08BAA9) :
  • The pressure seals and their mating surfaces on the fuselage
  • The vent door seals and their mating surfaces around the door cut-out
  • The external door handle mechanism
  • The door hinges and the guide fittings of the fuselage
  • The internal mechanism of the vent door, the locking mechanism and the latching mechanism.
     (d) Apply Silicone base Grease-- Paste - (Material No.03JAB1) or Silicone base Grease-Mechanisms and Seals - - (Material No.03JCA9) on the mating surface of the seals around the vent door and the fuselage.
     (e) If necessary, apply Silicone base Grease-Mechanisms and Seals - - (Material No.03JCA9) or Mineral Oil base Grease-- Vaseline or Petrolatum - (Material No.03FAB1) on the vent door seal.
     (f) Apply Mineral Oil base Grease-- Vaseline or Petrolatum - (Material No.03FAB1) on the cargo door seal.
     (g) Make sure that the related cargo door is sufficiently lubricated (Ref. AMM TASK 12-22-52-640-002) and (Ref. AMM TASK 12-22-52-640-009).
     (h) Apply Corrosion Preventive Compound_Water Displacing Soft Film - (Material No.12ABC1) or Corrosion Preventive Compound-Water Displacing Hard Film - (Material No.12ABB1) on the door mechanism.
     (i) Apply Corrosion Preventive Compound_Water Displacing Soft Film - (Material No.12ABC1) as a spray on the lower internal bays of the cargo doors.
     (j) Do not apply temporary corrosion-preventive compound on the electrical components, the bearings and other moveable parts.
   (2) Close the forward and aft cargo-compartment doors when you completed the winter preparation (Ref. AMM TASK 52-30-00-860-002).
   (3) Install access panels 825AR and 826AR on the cargo doors.
   (4) Do the winter preparation on the bulk cargo-compartment door as follows:
     (a) Make sure that the inflation holes of the door seal are clear and have no obstruction.
     (b) Clean the components of the bulk cargo-compartment door that follow with the Textile-Lint free Cotton - (Material No.14SBA1) and Non Aqueous Cleaner-General - - (Material No.08BAA9) :
  • The pressure seals and their mating surfaces on the fuselage
  • The door handle mechanism
  • The door suspension and the stop assemblies
  • The door handle mechanism, the locking mechanism and the balance mechanism.
     (c) Apply Silicone base Grease-- Paste - (Material No.03JAB1) or Silicone base Grease-Mechanisms and Seals - - (Material No.03JCA9) on the mating surface of the bulk door seal.
     (d) Apply Mineral Oil base Grease-- Vaseline or Petrolatum - (Material No.03FAB1) on the bulk cargo-compartment door seal.
     (e) Make sure that the door handle mechanism is sufficiently lubricated (Ref. AMM TASK 12-22-52-640-007).
     (f) Apply Corrosion Preventive Compound_Water Displacing Soft Film - (Material No.12ABC1) as a spray on the bulk door areas that follow:
  • The handle recess of the outer skin
  • The inner surface of the outer handle.
     (g) Do not apply temporary protective compound to the handle shaft.
   (5) Close the bulk cargo-compartment door when you completed the winter preparation (Ref. AMM TASK 52-30-00-860-008).
Subtask 12-31-52-640-051-C ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
B. Winter Preparation of the Forward and Aft Cargo-Compartment Doors
   (1) Do the winter preparation on the forward and aft cargo-compartment doors (referred to as the doors) as follows:
     (a) Remove access panel 825AR or 826AR from the cargo doors.
     (b) Make sure that the inflation holes of the door seal are clear and have no obstruction.
     (c) Clean the components of the doors that follow with the Textile-Lint free Cotton - (Material No.14SBA1) and Non Aqueous Cleaner-General - - (Material No.08BAA9) :
  • The pressure seals and their mating surfaces on the fuselage
  • The vent door seals and their mating surfaces around the door cut-out
  • The external door handle mechanism
  • The door hinges and the guide fittings of the fuselage
  • The internal mechanism of the vent door, the locking mechanism and the latching mechanism.
     (d) Apply Silicone base Grease-- Paste - (Material No.03JAB1) or Silicone base Grease-Mechanisms and Seals - - (Material No.03JCA9) on the mating surface of the seals around the vent door and the fuselage.
     (e) If necessary, apply Silicone base Grease-Mechanisms and Seals - - (Material No.03JCA9) or Mineral Oil base Grease-- Vaseline or Petrolatum - (Material No.03FAB1) on the vent door seal and the cargo door seal.
     (f) Make sure that the related cargo door is sufficiently lubricated (Ref. AMM TASK 12-22-52-640-002) and (Ref. AMM TASK 12-22-52-640-009).
     (g) Apply Corrosion Preventive Compound_Water Displacing Soft Film - (Material No.12ABC1) or Corrosion Preventive Compound-Water Displacing Hard Film - (Material No.12ABB1) on the door mechanism.
     (h) Apply Corrosion Preventive Compound_Water Displacing Soft Film - (Material No.12ABC1) as a spray on the lower internal bays of the cargo doors.
     (i) Do not apply temporary corrosion-preventive compound on the electrical components, the bearings and other moveable parts.
   (2) Close the forward and aft cargo-compartment doors when you completed the winter preparation (Ref. AMM TASK 52-30-00-860-002).
   (3) Install access panel 825AR or 826AR on the cargo doors.
   (4) Do the winter preparation on the bulk cargo-compartment door as follows:
     (a) Make sure that the inflation holes of the door seal are clear and have no obstruction.
     (b) Clean the components of the bulk cargo-compartment door that follow with the Textile-Lint free Cotton - (Material No.14SBA1) and Non Aqueous Cleaner-General - - (Material No.08BAA9) :
  • The pressure seals and their mating surfaces on the fuselage
  • The door handle mechanism
  • The door suspension and the stop assemblies
  • The door handle mechanism, the locking mechanism and the balance mechanism.
Make sure that the door handle mechanism is sufficiently lubricated (Ref. AMM TASK 12-22-52-640-007).
     (c) Apply Corrosion Preventive Compound_Water Displacing Soft Film - (Material No.12ABC1) as a spray on the bulk door areas that follow:
  • The handle recess of the outer skin
  • The inner surface of the outer handle.
     (d) Do not apply temporary protective compound to the handle shaft.
   (5) Close the bulk cargo-compartment door when you completed the winter preparation (Ref. AMM TASK 52-30-00-860-008).

B. Winter Preparation of the Forward and Aft Cargo-Compartment Doors
   (1) Remove access panel 825AR or 826AR from the cargo doors.
   (2) Make sure that the inflation holes of the door seal are clear and have no obstruction.
   (3) Clean the components of the related cargo-compartment doors that follow with the Textile-Lint free Cotton - (Material No.14SBA1) and Non Aqueous Cleaner-General - - (Material No.08BAA9) :
  • The pressure seals and their mating surfaces on the fuselage
  • The vent door seals and their mating surfaces around the door cut-out
  • The external door handle mechanism
  • The door hinges and the guide fittings of the fuselage
  • The internal mechanism of the vent door, the locking mechanism and the latching mechanism.
   (4) Apply Silicone base Grease-- Paste - (Material No.03JAB1) or Silicone base Grease-Mechanisms and Seals - - (Material No.03JCA9) on the mating surface of the seals around the vent door and the fuselage.

   (6) Make sure that the related cargo door is sufficiently lubricated (Ref. AMM TASK 12-22-52-640-002).
   (7) Apply Corrosion Preventive Compound_Water Displacing Soft Film - (Material No.12ABC1) or Corrosion Preventive Compound-Water Displacing Hard Film - (Material No.12ABB1) on the door mechanism.
   (8) Apply Corrosion Preventive Compound_Water Displacing Soft Film - (Material No.12ABC1) as a spray on the lower internal bays of the doors.
   (9) Make sure that the electrical components, the bearings and other movable parts stay without temporary protective compound.
   (10) Close the related cargo-compartment door immediately after you completed the winter preparation (Ref. AMM TASK 52-10-00-410-001).
   (11) Install access panel 825AR or 826AR on the cargo doors.

   (3) On the Service Panels/Doors
     (a) Apply the temporary protective compound, Corrosion Preventive Compound_Water Displacing Soft Film - (Material No.12ABC1) , as a spray to the hinges and latch mechanisms of the fuselage service panels and doors.

NOTE: The frequency of the procedure that follows can be increased as necessary for the operating environment.
     (a) Make sure that the inflation holes of the door seals are clear and not blocked.
     (b) Use a clean Textile-Lint free Cotton - (Material No.14SBA1) and Non Aqueous Cleaner-General - - (Material No.08BAA9) to clean these components of the applicable cargo-compartment doors:
  • The door seals and their contact areas on the fuselage
  • The vent door seals
  • The external door handle mechanism
  • The door hinges and the guide fittings of the fuselage.
     (c) Apply Silicone base Grease-- Paste - (Material No.03JAB1) on contact area of the seals around the vent door and the fuselage.
     (d) Apply Silicone base Grease-Mechanisms and Seals - - (Material No.03JCA9) or Mineral Oil base Grease-- Vaseline or Petrolatum - (Material No.03FAB1) on the vent door seal .
     (e) Apply Mineral Oil base Grease-- Vaseline or Petrolatum - (Material No.03FAB1) on the cargo door seal.
     (f) Apply Corrosion Preventive Compound_Water Displacing Soft Film - (Material No.12ABC1) or Corrosion Preventive Compound-Water Displacing Hard Film - (Material No.12ABB1) on the door mechanism.
     (g) Lubricate the door hinges and the guide fittings. Apply Corrosion Preventive Compound_Water Displacing Soft Film - (Material No.12ABC1) on the latch assemblies and the latch spools.
   (5) Maintenance at the bulk cargo-compartment door:

       3 Apply Silicone base Grease-- Paste - (Material No.03JAB1) on the seals of the passenger/crew door and the emergency exit door.
       4 Make sure that the inflation holes of the door seals are clean and have no blockage.
       5 Make sure that the drain holes of the passenger/crew door and the emergency exit door are clear.
     (b) For aircraft parked in the hangar:
       1 Open the passenger/crew door, the emergency exit door and the overwing emergency-exit door (Ref. AMM TASK 52-10-00-010-001), (Ref. AMM TASK 52-22-00-010-001) and (Ref. AMM TASK 52-22-00-010-802).
NOTE: This procedure helps remove the moisture from the inner surfaces of the door sill area.
       2 Keep the overwing emergency-exit door open for one hour.
   (2) On the forward and aft cargo-compartment door:
     (a) Remove the snow and/or the slush from the areas that follow before you close the forward and aft cargo-compartment door (Ref. AMM TASK 52-30-00-860-002):
  • The door seals
  • The door contact areas on the fuselage.
     (b) If the aircraft flies from an airport where the ambient temperature is more than 0 deg.C (32.00 deg.F) to an airport where the ambient temperature is less than 0 deg.C (32.00 deg.F), you must:
       1 Apply the Corrosion Preventive Compound_Water Displacing Soft Film - (Material No.12ABC1) on the areas that follow of the forward and aft cargo-compartment door:
  • The door mechanism
  • The inner surfaces of the lower areas of the cargo doors.

     (e) Apply Corrosion Preventive Compound_Water Displacing Soft Film - (Material No.12ABC1) or Corrosion Preventive Compound-Water Displacing Hard Film - (Material No.12ABB1) on the door mechanism.
     (f) Lubricate the door hinges and the guide fittings. Apply the Corrosion Preventive Compound_Water Displacing Soft Film - (Material No.12ABC1) on the latch assemblies and the latch spools.
   (5) Maintenance at the bulk cargo-compartment door:
