3. Job Set-up
Subtask 52-22-00-860-058-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
A. Aircraft Maintenance Configuration
   (1) Make sure that the aircraft electrical circuits are energized (Ref. AMM TASK 24-41-00-861-002).
   (2) Make sure that the ACCESS PLATFORM 4M (13 FT)-ADJUSTABLE is in position below the opened door.
4. Procedure
Subtask 52-22-00-410-051-B ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
A. Closing of the Door
   (1) Push the release button so that the door stay mechanism releases the door.
   (2) With the assist handle, pull the door rearward until you get access to the door damper and emergency operation cylinder.
   (3) If applicable, do the special precaution on the door damper and emergency operation cylinder (Ref. AMM TASK 52-22-00-860-004).
   (4) If installed, remove the 98D52207551000 PIN-SAFETY - SLIDE RELEASE LEVER from the slide release lever at the fuselage door frame.
   (5) Move the door rearward and inboard until it is in the correct position at the opening.
   (6) Push down the inboard handle so that the door lowers into the opening.
NOTE: The indication window must show LOCKED in green.
   (7) Close the handle cover to prevent the accidental operation of the inboard handle.

B. Removal of Safety Equipment
   (1) Remove the 98A52107632000 PIN - SAFETY SLIDE from the slide control handle.
   (2) Make sure that the escape slide-release mechanism of the door is in the ARMED mode.
Subtask 52-22-00-860-060-B ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
B. Removal of Safety Equipment
   (1) Remove the 98A52107632000 PIN - SAFETY SLIDE from the slide control handle.
   (2) Close the protection cover to prevent direct access to the slide control handle.
   (3) Make sure that the escape slide-release mechanism of the door is in the ARMED mode.
5. Close-up
Subtask 52-22-00-860-061-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
A. Put the aircraft back to the serviceable condition.
   (1) If installed, remove the lock pin from the inflation reservoir as follows:
     (a) If necessary, connect the release lever assembly to the inflation reservoir as follows:
WARNING: USE PROTECTIVE GOGGLES AND GLOVES WHEN YOU REMOVE OR INSTALL LOCKWIRE. EACH TIME YOU CUT LOCKWIRE, REMOVE AND DISCARD IT IMMEDIATELY. LOOSE LOCKWIRE CAN CUT YOU OR MAKE YOU BLIND, AND/OR CAN CAUSE DAMAGE.
       1 Put the release cable in position on the release lever.
       2 Close the safety clamp and safety it with the lockwire 14QFB1Wire-Locking Dia: 0.8 mm CRES Nickel Alloy -.
     (b) Remove the lock pin from the operation valve of the inflation reservoir.
     (c) Put the lock pin in the stowage pocket of the inflation reservoir.
     (d) Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tools and other items.
     (e) Install the rear inside fairing in the applicable overhead stowage compartment.
     (f) Close the access door of the applicable overhead stowage compartment.
   (2) Close the passenger/crew door (Ref. AMM TASK 52-10-00-410-001).
   (3) Remove the access platform(s).
   (4) De-energize the ground service network
(Ref. AMM TASK 24-42-00-862-001).
