NOTE: This task can contribute to fuel savings.
NOTE: This is an EWIS (Electrical Wiring Interconnection System) procedure. EWIS is defined in ESPM 20-33-11.

A. Get Access
(2) Open fan cowl doors 437AL, 438AR, 447AL and 448AR (Ref. AMM TASK 71-13-00-010-040).
(4) Open thrust reverser doors 451AL, 452AR, 461AL and 462AR (Ref. AMM TASK 78-36-00-010-040).
Subtask 05-24-50-010-051-C ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL WARNING:
DO NOT EXTEND THE SLATS AND FLAPS WHEN THE THRUST REVERSER COWLS ARE DEPLOYED IN THE 45 DEG. POSITION.
(1) Put the ACCESS PLATFORM 2M (6 FT) in position at zones 453 and 463.(2) Open fan cowl doors 437AL, 438AR, 447AL and 448AR (Ref. AMM TASK 71-13-00-010-040).
WARNING:
MAKE SURE THAT THE THRUST REVERSER HYDRAULIC CONTROL UNIT (HCU) IS DEACTIVATED BEFORE YOU DO WORK ON OR AROUND THE THRUST REVERSER. IF THE HCU IS NOT DEACTIVATED, THERE IS A RISK OF UNWANTED THRUST REVERSER OPERATION WHICH CAN CAUSE INJURY TO PERSONS AND/OR DAMAGE TO EQUIPMENT.
(3) Do the deactivation of the thrust reverser system (Ref. AMM TASK 78-30-00-040-040).(4) Open thrust reverser doors 451AL, 452AR, 461AL and 462AR (Ref. AMM TASK 78-36-00-010-040).
A. Get Access
(1) Put the ACCESS PLATFORM 2M (6 FT) in position at zones 453 and 463.
(2) Open fan cowl doors 437AL, 438AR, 447AL and 448AR (Ref. AMM TASK 71-13-00-010-010).
(4) Open thrust-reverser pressure-relief doors 452DR and 462DR (Ref. AMM TASK 78-32-00-010-010).
(5) Open thrust reverser halves 451AL, 452AR, 461AL and 462AR (Ref. AMM TASK 78-32-00-010-010).
4. Procedure(1) Put the ACCESS PLATFORM 2M (6 FT) in position at zones 453 and 463.
(2) Open fan cowl doors 437AL, 438AR, 447AL and 448AR (Ref. AMM TASK 71-13-00-010-010).
WARNING:
MAKE SURE THAT THE THRUST REVERSER HYDRAULIC CONTROL UNIT (HCU) IS DEACTIVATED BEFORE YOU DO WORK ON OR AROUND THE THRUST REVERSER. IF THE HCU IS NOT DEACTIVATED, THERE IS A RISK OF UNWANTED THRUST REVERSER OPERATION WHICH CAN CAUSE INJURY TO PERSONS AND/OR DAMAGE TO EQUIPMENT.
(3) Do the deactivation of the thrust reverser system (Ref. AMM TASK 78-30-00-040-012).(4) Open thrust-reverser pressure-relief doors 452DR and 462DR (Ref. AMM TASK 78-32-00-010-010).
(5) Open thrust reverser halves 451AL, 452AR, 461AL and 462AR (Ref. AMM TASK 78-32-00-010-010).
Subtask 05-24-50-210-051-B ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
A. Inspection
(1) Do a general visual inspection of the hot section.
(2) Make sure that there are no signs of corrosion, cracks or damage.
(3) Make sure that all the installations (wiring, ducting, piping) are attached correctly.
(4) Fuel wetness at the rear diffuser-case flange/front High-Pressure-Turbine (HPT) case flange interface at location M, is permitted provided no continuous steady drip leakage is seen.
Subtask 05-24-50-210-051-D ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL (1) Do a general visual inspection of the hot section.
(2) Make sure that there are no signs of corrosion, cracks or damage.
(3) Make sure that all the installations (wiring, ducting, piping) are attached correctly.
(4) Fuel wetness at the rear diffuser-case flange/front High-Pressure-Turbine (HPT) case flange interface at location M, is permitted provided no continuous steady drip leakage is seen.

- There is no damage (corrosion, leaks or cracks) on all the parts of the components and the structure that you can see
- All the installations (wiring, ducting, piping) are correctly attached.
- The air cooling tubes of the engine Low Pressure Turbine (LPT) and/or
- The tubes of the engine High Pressure Turbine Clearance Control (HPTCC).
Subtask 05-24-50-410-051-B ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
A. Close Access
(1) Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tools and other items.
(2) Close thrust reverser doors 451AL, 452AR, 461AL and 462AR (Ref. AMM TASK 78-36-00-410-040).
(3) Do the reactivation of the thrust reverser system (Ref. AMM TASK 78-30-00-440-040).
(4) Close fan cowl doors 437AL, 438AR, 447AL and 448AR (Ref. AMM TASK 71-13-00-410-040).
(5) Remove the access platform(s).
(6) Remove all the fixtures, tools, test and support equipment used during this procedure.
Subtask 05-24-50-410-051-C ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL (1) Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tools and other items.
(2) Close thrust reverser doors 451AL, 452AR, 461AL and 462AR (Ref. AMM TASK 78-36-00-410-040).
(3) Do the reactivation of the thrust reverser system (Ref. AMM TASK 78-30-00-440-040).
(4) Close fan cowl doors 437AL, 438AR, 447AL and 448AR (Ref. AMM TASK 71-13-00-410-040).
(5) Remove the access platform(s).
(6) Remove all the fixtures, tools, test and support equipment used during this procedure.

(4) Do the reactivation of the thrust reverser system (Ref. AMM TASK 78-30-00-440-012).
(5) Close fan cowl doors 437AL, 438AR, 447AL and 448AR (Ref. AMM TASK 71-13-00-410-010).
(6) Remove the access platform(s).
(7) Remove all the fixtures, tools, test and support equipment used during this procedure.
(1) Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tools and other items.
(2) Close thrust reverser halves 451AL, 452AR, 461AL and 462AR (Ref. AMM TASK 78-32-00-410-010).
(3) Close thrust-reverser pressure-relief doors 452DR and 462DR (Ref. AMM TASK 78-32-00-410-010).
(4) Do the reactivation of the thrust reverser system (Ref. AMM TASK 78-30-00-440-012).
(5) Close fan cowl doors 437AL, 438AR, 447AL and 448AR (Ref. AMM TASK 71-13-00-410-010).
(6) Remove the access platform(s).
(7) Remove all the fixtures, tools, test and support equipment used during this procedure.
