E. Deactivation of the Thrust Reverser for Maintenance

WARNING: YOU MUST DEACTIVATE THE THRUST REVERSER BEFORE YOU DO WORK ON OR AROUND IT. IF YOU DO NOT, THE THRUST REVERSER CAN OPERATE ACCIDENTALLY AND CAUSE AN INJURY AND/OR DAMAGE.

(1) Make sure that you did the deactivation of the thrust reverser system for maintenance (Ref. AMM TASK 78-30-00-040-805).

4. Procedure
Subtask 79-33-25-420-050-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL

A. Installation of the LOP Switch

CAUTION: WIPE CLEAN ALL PARTS AND TOOLS AS NECESSARY TO REMOVE UNWANTED DEBRIS AND PREVENT DAMAGE TO THE ENGINE.

(1) Make sure that you remove the COVER - PROTECTION as necessary to prevent damage to the engine.
(2) Install the switch (1) as follows:
(a) Put a small amount of P03-001lubricant, aircraft turbine engine on the new EIPC 79-33-25-01-090 PACKING (3).
(b) Install the new EIPC 79-33-25-01-090 PACKING (3) on the switch (1).
(c) Install the switch (1) on the oil manifold with the two bolts (2).
(d) TORQUE the two bolts (2) to between 30 and 26 lbf.in (0.34 and 0.29 m.daN )

.
(3) Connect wiring harness connector P70 to switch receptacle J70 as follows:
(a) Examine, align and engage the connector.
(b) Push lightly inward on the connector while you tighten the coupling ring.
(c) Use the PLIERS - JAWED, SOFT to tighten the connector against the receptacle.
(d) While you tighten, push the connector in and from side to side.
(e) Make sure that you can feel the ratchet feature.
(f) Tighten the connector until the PLIERS - JAWED, SOFT slip on the connector ring.
(4) Examine the assembly for foreign objects, damage and correct assembly.

A. Put the aircraft back to its initial configuration.
(1) Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tools and other items.
(2) Close the left thrust-reverser cowl-doors (Ref. AMM TASK 78-36-00-410-802):

WARNING: CLOSE THE CIRCUIT BREAKERS RELATED TO THE PHC AND WHC AND CIRCUIT BREAKER 4KS1(2) BEFORE YOU CLOSE THE PROBE HEATER AND WINDOW HEATER CIRCUIT-BREAKERS: IF YOU DO NOT OBEY THIS SEQUENCE:

THE PROBES WILL BECOME TOO HOT.
THIS CAN CAUSE INJURY TO MAINTENANCE PERSONNEL AND/OR DAMAGE TO EQUIPMENT.

B. Remove the safety clip(s) and the tag(s) and close this(these) circuit breaker(s):
