A. Aircraft Maintenance Configuration
(1) On the center pedestal, on the ENG panel 115VU, make sure that a WARNING NOTICE(S) is in position to tell persons not to start the engine.
(2) On the overhead maintenance panel 50VU, make sure that the ON legend of the ENG/FADEC GND PWR/1(2) pushbutton switch is off. Make sure that a WARNING NOTICE(S) is in position to tell persons not to energize the FADEC 1(2).

B. Get Access
(1) Make sure that the left fan cowl doors is open (Ref. AMM TASK 71-13-00-010-040):

4. Procedure
Subtask 79-31-15-420-052-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL

A. Installation of the Oil Quantity Transmitter
(1) Lubricate the packing (20) with engine oil (Material No.CP2442) .
(2) Install the AIPC 79-31-15-01-051 PACKING (20) on the oil quantity transmitter (5).
(3) Make sure that the AIPC 79-31-15-01-040 PACKING (25) is installed on the oil quantity transmitter (5).
(4) Put the transmitter (5) on the oil tank and install the bolts (10) and the washers (15). TORQUE the bolts to between 70 and 63 lbf.in (0.79 and 0.71 m.daN )

(5) Remove the protective cover and connect the electrical connector 4002ENA to the transmitter. Tighten the connector fingertight plus one-eighth turn.

B. Energize the aircraft electrical circuits (Ref. AMM TASK 24-41-00-861-002).

C. Do the EIS start procedure (lower ECAM DU only) (Ref. AMM TASK 31-60-00-860-001).

D. Make sure that oil quantity indication is available on the lower ECAM DU.

F. De-energize the aircraft electrical circuits (Ref. AMM TASK 24-41-00-862-002).

A. Close Access
(1) Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tools and other items.
(2) Close the left fan cowl door (Ref. AMM TASK 71-13-00-410-040):

(3) Remove the WARNING NOTICE(S).
