Replacement of the Metering Plug (LU20) from the Oil Control Module

C. Deactivation of the Thrust Reverser for Maintenance
Subtask 79-21-02-010-055-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL WARNING:
MAKE SURE THAT YOU DO THE DEACTIVATION OF THE THRUST REVERSER BEFORE YOU DO MAINTENANCE WORK ON OR AROUND THE THRUST REVERSER.
IF YOU DO NOT DO THIS PROCEDURE, THERE IS A RISK OF UNWANTED OPERATION AND THUS OF INJURY TO PERSONS AND DAMAGE TO EQUIPMENT.
(1) Do the deactivation of the thrust reverser system for maintenance (Ref. AMM TASK 78-30-00-040-805). D. Get Access
(1) Open the left thrust-reverser cowl-doors (Ref. AMM TASK 78-36-00-010-802):

4. Procedure(1) Open the left thrust-reverser cowl-doors (Ref. AMM TASK 78-36-00-010-802):

CAUTION:
WIPE CLEAN ALL PARTS AND TOOLS AS NECESSARY TO REMOVE UNWANTED DEBRIS AND PREVENT DAMAGE TO THE ENGINE.
Subtask 79-21-02-960-050-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL A. Replace the Metering Plug (LU20) from the Oil Control Module
(1) Find the metering plug (LU20) (3) in the oil control module (1).
(2) Remove the power feeder cables to get access to the repair area, if necessary (Ref. AMM TASK 24-21-61-000-803).
(3) Remove the metering plug (3) from the oil control module (1) as follows:
(a) Remove the two bolts (5).
(c) Remove and discard the packing (2).

(d) Remove and replace the metering plug (LU20) (3).

POST SB C-79-00-003A (Config-2 Adjusted Oil Pressure Improvement Configuration)
(4) Install the new metering plug (LU20) (3) as follows:
(a) Select a metering plug (LU20) (3) from the Table 1.
(b) If you use a different metering plug (3) to adjust the pressure, refer to (Ref. AMM TASK 71-00-00-780-802).

(c) Apply P03-001 lubricant, aircraft turbine engine to the threads of the metering plug (LU20) (3).
(d) Install the metering plug (LU20) (3) into the oil control module (1) with the ADAPTER - TORQUE, STANDARD.
(e) Determine the run-on torque for the metering plug (LU20) (3).
plus the run-on torque until the same torque indication holds.
(g) ApplyP03-001 lubricant, aircraft turbine engine to the new EIPC 79-21-02-01-360 PACKING (2), the seal cap (4) and the threads of the two bolts (5).
(h) Install the packing (2) on the seal cap (4).
(i) Install the seal cap (4) with the two bolts (5).
(j) TORQUE the two bolts (5) to between 40 and 36 lbf.in (0.45 and 0.41 m.daN )

(5) Install the power feeder cables, if necessary (Ref. AMM TASK 24-21-61-400-803).
(6) Examine the assembly for foreign objects, damage and correct assembly.
5. Close-up(1) Find the metering plug (LU20) (3) in the oil control module (1).
(2) Remove the power feeder cables to get access to the repair area, if necessary (Ref. AMM TASK 24-21-61-000-803).
(3) Remove the metering plug (3) from the oil control module (1) as follows:
(a) Remove the two bolts (5).
CAUTION:
DO NOT USE TOOLS TO APPLY PRESSURE BELOW THE SEAL CAP. IF YOU DO NOT OBEY THIS INSTRUCTION, DAMAGE TO ENGINE PARTS CAN OCCUR.
(b) Remove the seal cap (4) from the oil control module (1). (c) Remove and discard the packing (2).

(d) Remove and replace the metering plug (LU20) (3).
NOTE: The replacement part kit has the replacement parts needed when installing the metering plug.

(4) Install the new metering plug (LU20) (3) as follows:
(a) Select a metering plug (LU20) (3) from the Table 1.
(b) If you use a different metering plug (3) to adjust the pressure, refer to (Ref. AMM TASK 71-00-00-780-802).

(d) Install the metering plug (LU20) (3) into the oil control module (1) with the ADAPTER - TORQUE, STANDARD.
(e) Determine the run-on torque for the metering plug (LU20) (3).
NOTE: The run-on torque should be between 10 lbf.in (0.11 m.daN) and 30 lbf.in (0.34 m.daN).
(f) TORQUE the metering plug (LU20) (3) with a final torque of to between 165 and 148 lbf.in (1.86 and 1.67 m.daN )
plus the run-on torque until the same torque indication holds. (g) Apply
(h) Install the packing (2) on the seal cap (4).
(i) Install the seal cap (4) with the two bolts (5).
(j) TORQUE the two bolts (5) to between 40 and 36 lbf.in (0.45 and 0.41 m.daN )

(5) Install the power feeder cables, if necessary (Ref. AMM TASK 24-21-61-400-803).
(6) Examine the assembly for foreign objects, damage and correct assembly.

A. Put the aircraft back to its initial configuration.
(1) Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tools and other items.
(2) Close the left thrust-reverser cowl-doors (Ref. AMM TASK 78-36-00-410-802):
