D. Deactivation of the Thrust Reverser System for Maintenance
4. ProcedureWARNING:
YOU MUST DEACTIVATE THE THRUST REVERSER BEFORE YOU DO WORK ON OR AROUND IT. IF YOU DO NOT, THE THRUST REVERSER CAN OPERATE ACCIDENTALLY AND CAUSE AN INJURY AND/OR DAMAGE.
(1) Make sure that you did the deactivation of the thrust reverser system for maintenance (Ref. AMM TASK 78-30-00-040-805). Subtask 78-31-51-420-068-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
A. Installation of the Pylon Hoses
(2) Lubrication of the threads of the coupling nuts
(3) Install the deploy hose (1), the return hose (3) and the stow hose (2) on the Tee-piece. Do not torque the hose fittings at this time.
(4) Install the deploy hose (1), the return hose (3) and the stow hose (2) on the pylon. Do not torque the hose fittings at this time.
(5) Adjust the deploy hose (1), the return hose (3) and the stow hose (2) to keep the pre-load to a minimum.
(6) Tighten the deploy hose (1), the return hose (3) and the stow hose (2) fittings.
(a) TORQUE the deploy hose (1) fittings to between 734.6 and 663.8 lbf.in (8.30 and 7.50 m.daN )

(b) TORQUE the return hose (3) fittings to between 283.2 and 256.7 lbf.in (3.20 and 2.90 m.daN )
.
(c) TORQUE the stow hose (2) to between 522 and 478 lbf.in (5.90 and 5.40 m.daN )
.
(7) Install the return hose (3) and the stow hose (2) on the pylon bracket with the screws (4), washers (5) and the two clamps (6) and (7).
(8) TORQUE the screws to between 37.2 and 32.7 lbf.in (0.42 and 0.37 m.daN )
.
5. Close-upCAUTION:
HYDRAULIC FLUID CAN CAUSE DAMAGE TO EQUIPMENT. IF HYDRAULIC FLUID FALLS ON A SURFACE, IMMEDIATELY CLEAN THE SURFACE WITH A CLEAN CLOTH.
(1) Removal of the protection covers CAUTION:
REMOVE THE PROTECTION COVERS FROM THE OPENINGS AS NECESSARY TO PREVENT ENGINE DAMAGE.
(a) Remove the CAP - PROTECTION from the pylon deploy hose (1), return hose (3) and stow hose (2). (2) Lubrication of the threads of the coupling nuts
WARNING:
BE CAREFUL WHEN YOU USE CONSUMABLE MATERIALS. OBEY THE MATERIAL MANUFACTURER'S INSTRUCTIONS AND YOUR LOCAL REGULATIONS.
(a) Apply a thin layer of lubricant (Material No.PU6-0003) or equivalent to the threads of the coupling nuts on the deploy hose (1), the return hose (3), and the stow hose (2). (3) Install the deploy hose (1), the return hose (3) and the stow hose (2) on the Tee-piece. Do not torque the hose fittings at this time.
(4) Install the deploy hose (1), the return hose (3) and the stow hose (2) on the pylon. Do not torque the hose fittings at this time.
(5) Adjust the deploy hose (1), the return hose (3) and the stow hose (2) to keep the pre-load to a minimum.
(6) Tighten the deploy hose (1), the return hose (3) and the stow hose (2) fittings.

(a) Pressurize the reservoir of the Green hydraulic system (Ref. AMM TASK 29-14-00-614-002).
(2) FOR [4020KM2] (POWER PLANT-DEMOUNTABLE, ENG 2)
(a) Pressurize the reservoir of the Yellow hydraulic system (Ref. AMM TASK 29-14-00-614-002).
(3) Make sure that there are no leaks at the tube connections.

(a) Pressurize the reservoir of the Green hydraulic system (Ref. AMM TASK 29-14-00-614-002).

(a) Pressurize the reservoir of the Yellow hydraulic system (Ref. AMM TASK 29-14-00-614-002).
(3) Make sure that there are no leaks at the tube connections.
C. Close Access
(1) Close the fan cowl doors (Ref. AMM TASK 71-13-00-410-802):
