A. Safety Precautions
(1) On the center pedestal, on ENG panel 115VU:
(a) Make sure that the ENG/MODE selector switch is in the NORM position.
(b) Make sure that the ENG/MASTER 1(2) control switch was in the OFF position not less than five minutes before you do this procedure.
(c) Put WARNING NOTICE(S) in position to tell persons not to operate:
(a) Make sure that the ON legend of the FADEC GND PWR/1(2) pushbutton switch is off.
(b) Put a WARNING NOTICE(S) in position to tell persons not to energize FADEC 1(2).
Subtask 78-31-49-010-235-A (1) On the center pedestal, on ENG panel 115VU:

C. Deactivation of the Thrust Reverser System for Maintenance
Subtask 78-31-49-864-056-A WARNING:
YOU MUST DEACTIVATE THE THRUST REVERSER BEFORE YOU DO WORK ON OR AROUND IT. IF YOU DO NOT, THE THRUST REVERSER CAN OPERATE ACCIDENTALLY AND CAUSE AN INJURY AND/OR DAMAGE.
(1) Do the deactivation of the thrust reverser system for nacelle maintenance (Ref. AMM TASK 78-30-00-040-807). D. Depressurize the aircraft hydraulic systems
(Ref. AMM TASK 78-31-49-400-815):
(1) Put a WARNING NOTICE(S) in position to tell persons not to pressurize the applicable system.
(a) On the HYD/FUEL panel 40VU of the overhead panel
(b) On the ground service panel of the applicable hydraulic system.
(2) FOR [4020KM1] (POWER PLANT-DEMOUNTABLE, ENGINE 1)
(a) Depressurize the Green hydraulic system
(Ref. AMM TASK 29-10-00-864-001).
(b) Depressurize the reservoir of the Green hydraulic system

(3) FOR [4020KM2] (POWER PLANT-DEMOUNTABLE, ENGINE 2)

E. Draining of the Thrust Reverser Hydraulic Tubes
(1) Drain the thrust reverser hydraulic tubes attached to the actuator (Ref. AMM TASK 78-31-49-680-801).

F. Get Access
(1) Put a CONTAINER - HYDRAULIC FLUID RESISTANT in position under the hydraulic connections.
(2) Disconnect the following fuel connections from the pylon:
(a) Fuel supply line (Ref. AMM TASK 73-11-46-000-802).
(b) Fuel return line (Ref. AMM TASK 73-11-49-000-804).
(3) FOR [4020KM1] (POWER PLANT-DEMOUNTABLE, ENGINE 1)
(a) Disconnect the following hydraulic connections from the pylon:
1 Hydraulic pressure line (Ref. AMM TASK 29-11-49-000-809).
2 Hydraulic suction line (Ref. AMM TASK 29-11-49-000-811).
3 Hydraulic case drain line (Ref. AMM TASK 29-11-49-000-810).
(4) FOR [4020KM2] (POWER PLANT-DEMOUNTABLE, ENGINE 2)
(a) Disconnect the following hydraulic connections from the pylon:
1 Hydraulic pressure line (Ref. AMM TASK 29-13-49-000-808).
2 Hydraulic suction line (Ref. AMM TASK 29-13-49-000-810).
3 Hydraulic case drain line (Ref. AMM TASK 29-13-49-000-809).
4. Procedure(1) Put a CONTAINER - HYDRAULIC FLUID RESISTANT in position under the hydraulic connections.
(2) Disconnect the following fuel connections from the pylon:
(a) Fuel supply line (Ref. AMM TASK 73-11-46-000-802).
(b) Fuel return line (Ref. AMM TASK 73-11-49-000-804).
(3) FOR [4020KM1] (POWER PLANT-DEMOUNTABLE, ENGINE 1)
(a) Disconnect the following hydraulic connections from the pylon:
1 Hydraulic pressure line (Ref. AMM TASK 29-11-49-000-809).
2 Hydraulic suction line (Ref. AMM TASK 29-11-49-000-811).
3 Hydraulic case drain line (Ref. AMM TASK 29-11-49-000-810).
(4) FOR [4020KM2] (POWER PLANT-DEMOUNTABLE, ENGINE 2)
(a) Disconnect the following hydraulic connections from the pylon:
1 Hydraulic pressure line (Ref. AMM TASK 29-13-49-000-808).
2 Hydraulic suction line (Ref. AMM TASK 29-13-49-000-810).
3 Hydraulic case drain line (Ref. AMM TASK 29-13-49-000-809).
Subtask 78-31-49-020-193-A
A. Removal of the Pylon Tubes and Hoses
(2) Remove the pylon hose (4) as follows:
(a) Make a record of the location and position of the P-clamp (16) on the pylon hose (4) to help during installation.
(b) Remove the bolt (9) and washer (99) that attaches the P-clamp (16) to the support bracket (6).
(c) Disconnect the coupling nut (3) of the pylon hose (4) from the Isolation Control Unit (ICU) (2).
(d) Disconnect the coupling nut (15) of the pylon hose (4) from the pylon tube (13).
(e) Remove the pylon hose (4) from the engine.
(f) Remove the P-clamp (16) from the pylon hose (4).
(3) Remove the pylon hose (5) as follows:
(a) Make a record of the location and position of the P-clamp (7) on the pylon hose (5) to help during installation.
(b) Remove the bolt (8) that attaches the P-clamp (7) to the support bracket (6).
(c) Remove bracket (6) from the pylon structure.
(d) Disconnect the coupling nut (1) of the pylon hose (5) from the ICU (2).
(e) Disconnect the coupling nut (10) of the pylon hose (5) from the pylon tube (12).
(f) Remove the pylon hose (5) from the engine.
(g) Remove the P-clamp (7) from the pylon hose (5).
(4) Remove the flex hose (41) (Ref. AMM TASK 78-31-44-000-802).
(5) Remove the pylon hose (73) as follows:
(a) Disconnect the coupling nut (98) of the pylon hose (73) from the hydraulic tube (95).
(b) Disconnect the coupling nut (74) of the pylon hose (73) from the hydraulic connection (77) at the support bracket (49) on the pylon.
(c) Remove the pylon hose (73) from the engine.
(6) Remove the pylon hose (63) as follows:
(a) Disconnect the coupling nut (91) of the pylon hose (63) from the hydraulic tube (92).
(b) Disconnect the coupling nut (64) of the pylon hose (63) from the hydraulic connection (60) at the support bracket (48) on the pylon.
(c) Remove the pylon hose (63) from the engine.
(7) Remove the pylon hose (82) as follows:
(a) Disconnect the coupling nut (94) of the pylon hose (82) from the hydraulic tube (93).
(b) Disconnect the coupling nut (83) of the pylon hose (82) from the hydraulic connection (79) at the support bracket (48) on the pylon.
(c) Remove the pylon hose (82) from the engine.
(8) Remove the harness bracket (104) as follows:
(a) Remove the two bolts (103) that attach the harness block (105) to the bracket (104).
(b) Remove the two bolts and two washers that attach the harness bracket (104) to the pylon.
(c) Remove the harness bracket (104) from the pylon.
(9) Remove the pylon tubes (13) and (59) as follows:
(a) Make a record of the location and position of the P-clamps (24), (31) and (35) on the pylon tube (13) to help during installation.
(b) Remove the two nuts (80) and (84) and three washers (85), (86) and (81) that attach the pylon tube (13) to the support bracket (48). Discard washer (85).
(c) Remove the two nuts (72) and (76) and three washers (70), (71) and (75) that attach the pylon tube (13) to the support bracket (49). Discard washer (70).
(d) Remove the two nuts (65) and (61) and three washers (66), (67) and (62) that attach the pylon tube (59) to the support bracket (48). Discard washer (66).
(e) Remove the two nuts (52) and (56) and three washers (51), (50) and (55) that attach the pylon tube (59) to the support bracket (49). Discard washer (50).
(f) Remove the bolts and washers that attach the support bracket (48) to the pylon.
(g) Remove the bolts and washers that attach the support bracket (49) to the pylon.
(h) Remove the bolts (23), (27) and (36) that attach the P-clamps (24), (31) and (35) to the support brackets (25), (30), and (37).
(i) Disconnect the coupling nut (57) of the pylon tube (59) from the pylon interface.
(j) Remove the pylon tube (59) from the engine.
(k) Remove the pylon tube (13) from the engine.
(l) Remove the P-clamps (24), (31) and (35) from the pylon tube (13).
(10) Remove the pylon tube (12) as follows:
(a) Make a record of the location and position of the P-clamps (21) and (26) on the pylon tube (12) to help during installation.
(b) Disconnect the coupling nut (29) of the pylon tube (12) from the pylon interface.
(c) Remove the bolts (22) and (28) that attach the P-clamps (21) and (26) to the support brackets (20) and (30).
(d) Remove the pylon tube (12) from the engine.
(e) Remove the P-clamps (21) and (26) from the pylon tube (12).
(11) Install COVER - PROTECTION and CAP - PROTECTION on all open ports, open tubes, open hoses and connectors.

DO NOT GET HYDRAULIC FLUID ON YOUR SKIN, IN YOUR EYES OR IN YOUR MOUTH. HYDRAULIC FLUID IS POISONOUS AND CAN GO THROUGH YOUR SKIN AND INTO YOUR BODY. FLUSH HYDRAULIC FLUID FROM YOUR EYES, MOUTH OR SKIN WITH WATER. GET MEDICAL AID IF YOU GET HYDRAULIC FLUID IN YOUR EYES OR MOUTH.
WARNING:
WEAR APPLICABLE PERSONAL PROTECTIVE EQUIPMENT (PPE) WHEN YOU DO THIS TASK. BEFORE YOU USE PPE, READ, UNDERSTAND AND OBEY ALL INSTRUCTIONS FOR ITS USE. CAUTION:
DO NOT LET HYDRAULIC FLUID FALL ON THE ENGINE. UNWANTED HYDRAULIC FLUID MUST BE REMOVED IMMEDIATELY WITH A CLEAN LINT FREE CLOTH. THE FLUID CAN CAUSE DAMAGE TO THE SURFACE PROTECTION AND TO SOME PARTS.
(1) Put a CONTAINER - HYDRAULIC FLUID RESISTANT in position under the hydraulic connections. (2) Remove the pylon hose (4) as follows:
(a) Make a record of the location and position of the P-clamp (16) on the pylon hose (4) to help during installation.
(b) Remove the bolt (9) and washer (99) that attaches the P-clamp (16) to the support bracket (6).
(c) Disconnect the coupling nut (3) of the pylon hose (4) from the Isolation Control Unit (ICU) (2).
(d) Disconnect the coupling nut (15) of the pylon hose (4) from the pylon tube (13).
(e) Remove the pylon hose (4) from the engine.
(f) Remove the P-clamp (16) from the pylon hose (4).
(3) Remove the pylon hose (5) as follows:
(a) Make a record of the location and position of the P-clamp (7) on the pylon hose (5) to help during installation.
(b) Remove the bolt (8) that attaches the P-clamp (7) to the support bracket (6).
(c) Remove bracket (6) from the pylon structure.
(d) Disconnect the coupling nut (1) of the pylon hose (5) from the ICU (2).
(e) Disconnect the coupling nut (10) of the pylon hose (5) from the pylon tube (12).
(f) Remove the pylon hose (5) from the engine.
(g) Remove the P-clamp (7) from the pylon hose (5).
(4) Remove the flex hose (41) (Ref. AMM TASK 78-31-44-000-802).
(5) Remove the pylon hose (73) as follows:
(a) Disconnect the coupling nut (98) of the pylon hose (73) from the hydraulic tube (95).
(b) Disconnect the coupling nut (74) of the pylon hose (73) from the hydraulic connection (77) at the support bracket (49) on the pylon.
(c) Remove the pylon hose (73) from the engine.
(6) Remove the pylon hose (63) as follows:
(a) Disconnect the coupling nut (91) of the pylon hose (63) from the hydraulic tube (92).
(b) Disconnect the coupling nut (64) of the pylon hose (63) from the hydraulic connection (60) at the support bracket (48) on the pylon.
(c) Remove the pylon hose (63) from the engine.
(7) Remove the pylon hose (82) as follows:
(a) Disconnect the coupling nut (94) of the pylon hose (82) from the hydraulic tube (93).
(b) Disconnect the coupling nut (83) of the pylon hose (82) from the hydraulic connection (79) at the support bracket (48) on the pylon.
(c) Remove the pylon hose (82) from the engine.
(8) Remove the harness bracket (104) as follows:
(a) Remove the two bolts (103) that attach the harness block (105) to the bracket (104).
(b) Remove the two bolts and two washers that attach the harness bracket (104) to the pylon.
(c) Remove the harness bracket (104) from the pylon.
(9) Remove the pylon tubes (13) and (59) as follows:
(a) Make a record of the location and position of the P-clamps (24), (31) and (35) on the pylon tube (13) to help during installation.
(b) Remove the two nuts (80) and (84) and three washers (85), (86) and (81) that attach the pylon tube (13) to the support bracket (48). Discard washer (85).
(c) Remove the two nuts (72) and (76) and three washers (70), (71) and (75) that attach the pylon tube (13) to the support bracket (49). Discard washer (70).
(d) Remove the two nuts (65) and (61) and three washers (66), (67) and (62) that attach the pylon tube (59) to the support bracket (48). Discard washer (66).
(e) Remove the two nuts (52) and (56) and three washers (51), (50) and (55) that attach the pylon tube (59) to the support bracket (49). Discard washer (50).
(f) Remove the bolts and washers that attach the support bracket (48) to the pylon.
(g) Remove the bolts and washers that attach the support bracket (49) to the pylon.
(h) Remove the bolts (23), (27) and (36) that attach the P-clamps (24), (31) and (35) to the support brackets (25), (30), and (37).
(i) Disconnect the coupling nut (57) of the pylon tube (59) from the pylon interface.
(j) Remove the pylon tube (59) from the engine.
(k) Remove the pylon tube (13) from the engine.
(l) Remove the P-clamps (24), (31) and (35) from the pylon tube (13).
(10) Remove the pylon tube (12) as follows:
(a) Make a record of the location and position of the P-clamps (21) and (26) on the pylon tube (12) to help during installation.
(b) Disconnect the coupling nut (29) of the pylon tube (12) from the pylon interface.
(c) Remove the bolts (22) and (28) that attach the P-clamps (21) and (26) to the support brackets (20) and (30).
(d) Remove the pylon tube (12) from the engine.
(e) Remove the P-clamps (21) and (26) from the pylon tube (12).
(11) Install COVER - PROTECTION and CAP - PROTECTION on all open ports, open tubes, open hoses and connectors.
