Installation of the Aft Vibration Sensor N1
WARNING:
BE CAREFUL WHEN YOU DO WORK ON THE ENGINE AFTER SHUTDOWN. THE ENGINE CAN STAY HOT FOR A LONG TIME. IF YOU DO NOT OBEY THIS INSTRUCTION, INJURY CAN OCCUR.
WARNING:
BE CAREFUL WHEN YOU USE CONSUMABLE MATERIALS. OBEY THE MATERIAL MANUFACTURER'S INSTRUCTIONS AND YOUR LOCAL REGULATIONS.
CAUTION:
MAKE SURE THAT THE AFT VIBRATION SENSOR CABLE DOES NOT TOUCH SHARP-EDGE SURFACES, FUEL LINES, OIL LINES, HIGH PRESSURE PNEUMATIC DUCTS, PNEUMATIC SENSOR LINES, OR FABRIC BELLOWS. MAKE SURE THAT THE AFT VIBRATION SENSOR CABLE DOES NOT HAVE ANY KINKS. IF YOU DO NOT FOLLOW THIS INSTRUCTION YOU COULD DAMAGE THE AFT VIBRATION SENSOR CABLE.

D. Deactivation of the Thrust Reverser for Maintenance
Subtask 77-32-22-010-053-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL WARNING:
YOU MUST DEACTIVATE THE THRUST REVERSER BEFORE YOU DO WORK ON OR AROUND IT. IF YOU DO NOT, THE THRUST REVERSER CAN OPERATE ACCIDENTALLY AND CAUSE AN INJURY AND/OR DAMAGE.
(1) Make sure that you did the deactivation of the thrust reverser system for maintenance (Ref. AMM TASK 78-30-00-040-805). E. Get Access
(1) Make sure that the right thrust-reverser cowl-doors are open (Ref. AMM TASK 78-36-00-010-802):

4. Procedure(1) Make sure that the right thrust-reverser cowl-doors are open (Ref. AMM TASK 78-36-00-010-802):

CAUTION:
WIPE CLEAN ALL PARTS AND TOOLS AS NECESSARY TO REMOVE UNWANTED DEBRIS AND PREVENT DAMAGE TO THE ENGINE.
Subtask 77-32-22-420-050-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL A. Installation of the Aft Vibration Sensor N1
(1) Removal of the protection covers
(2) Install the aft vibration sensor N1 (2) to the engine as follows:
(a) Apply Antigalling Compound (Material No.P06-054) to the threads of the two bolts (1). See the sheet 2 of the figure.
(c) Install the sensor (2) cables sleeves on the seven spring clips. See the sheets 3, 4 and 5 of the figure.
(d) ApplyP03-001 lubricant, aircraft turbine engine (synthetic base) on the threads of the two nuts (13).
(e) Install the sensor (2) to the flange P bracket and flange P with the two bolts (12) and nuts (13). See the sheet 5 of the figure.
(f) TORQUE the nuts (13) to between 145 and 125 lbf.in (1.64 and 1.41 m.daN )
.
(g) TORQUE the bolts (1) to between 44 and 38 lbf.in (0.50 and 0.43 m.daN )
.
(3) Connect the wiring harness (WC03) connector (P51) to the sensor (2) receptacle (J51). See the sheet 2 of the figure.
(a) Examine, align and engage the connector.
(b) Push lightly inward on the connector while you tighten the coupling ring.
(c) Use the PLIERS - JAWED, SOFT and tighten the connector against the receptacle.
(d) Make sure that you can feel the ratchet feature.
(e) While you tighten, push the connector from side to side.
(f) Tighten the connector until the PLIERS - JAWED, SOFT slip on the connector ring.
(4) Examine the assembly for unwanted objects, damage and correct assembly.
5. Close-up(1) Removal of the protection covers
CAUTION:
REMOVE THE PROTECTION COVERS FROM THE OPENINGS AS NECESSARY TO PREVENT ENGINE DAMAGE.
(a) Make sure that you remove all the necessary COVER - PROTECTION to prevent damage to the engine. (2) Install the aft vibration sensor N1 (2) to the engine as follows:
(a) Apply Antigalling Compound (Material No.P06-054) to the threads of the two bolts (1). See the sheet 2 of the figure.
NOTE: For new or refurbished bolts or nuts with baked on lubricant, do not do the wet application.
(b) Install the sensor (2) to the flange H bracket with the two bolts (1) fingertight. (c) Install the sensor (2) cables sleeves on the seven spring clips. See the sheets 3, 4 and 5 of the figure.
(d) Apply
(e) Install the sensor (2) to the flange P bracket and flange P with the two bolts (12) and nuts (13). See the sheet 5 of the figure.
(f) TORQUE the nuts (13) to between 145 and 125 lbf.in (1.64 and 1.41 m.daN )
. (g) TORQUE the bolts (1) to between 44 and 38 lbf.in (0.50 and 0.43 m.daN )

A. Put the aircraft back to its initial configuration.
(1) Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tools and other items.

(2) Remove the WARNING NOTICE(S).
(3) Make sure that all the circuit breakers shown in the paragraph Procedure of the engine interface unit installation are closed. If they are not, close them in the recommended sequence
