WARNING: YOU MUST DEACTIVATE THE THRUST REVERSER BEFORE YOU DO WORK ON OR AROUND IT. IF YOU DO NOT, THE THRUST REVERSER CAN OPERATE ACCIDENTALLY AND CAUSE AN INJURY AND/OR DAMAGE.
   (1) Make sure that you did the deactivation of the thrust reverser system for maintenance (Ref. AMM TASK 78-30-00-040-805).

4. Procedure
CAUTION: WIPE CLEAN ALL PARTS AND TOOLS AS NECESSARY TO REMOVE UNWANTED DEBRIS AND PREVENT DAMAGE TO THE ENGINE.

A. Installation of the Forward Vibration Sensor
POST SB C−72−00−0058A (Config−2 Sensor Relocation Configuration)
   (1) Removal of the protection covers:
CAUTION: REMOVE THE PROTECTION COVERS FROM THE OPENINGS AS NECESSARY TO PREVENT ENGINE DAMAGE.
     (a) Make sure that you remove all the necessary COVER - PROTECTION.
   (2) Install the forward vibration sensor (1) as follows:
     (a) Find the bracket attached to flange E located at the 7 o'clock position.
     (b) Apply the PWA 521 engine Oil (Material No.P03-001) on the threads of the three bolts (2).
     (c) Install the forward vibration sensor (1) on the bracket with the three bolts (2).
     (d) TORQUE the three bolts (2) to between 16.5 and 12.5 lbf.in (0.19 and 0.14 m.daN ) T in an equal and opposite pattern until the same torque indication holds.
WARNING: USE GOGGLES WHEN YOU REMOVE OR INSTALL SAFETY CABLE. EACH TIME YOU CUT SAFETY CABLE, REMOVE AND DISCARD IT IMMEDIATELY. LOOSE SAFETY CABLE CAN CUT YOU OR MAKE YOU BLIND, AND/OR CAN CAUSE DAMAGE TO THE EQUIPMENT.
     (e) Safety the three bolts (2) with the safety cable (Material No.
P05-291) and the safety cable ferrule (Material No.P05-292) .
   (3) Connect the wiring harness (W03) connector (P32) to the forward vibration sensor (1) receptacle (J32) as follows:
     (a) Examine, align and engage the connector.
     (b) Push lightly in on the connector while you tighten the coupling ring.
     (c) Use the PLIERS - JAWED, SOFT and tighten the connector against the receptacle.
     (d) While you tighten, push the connector in and from side to side.
     (e) Make sure that you can feel the ratchet feature.
     (f) Tighten the connector until the PLIERS - JAWED, SOFT slip on the connector ring.
   (4) Examine the assembly for unwanted objects, damage and correct assembly.
