3. Job Set-up
Subtask 76-11-17-860-053-A
A. Aircraft Maintenance Configuration
   (1) In the cockpit, make sure that the WARNING NOTICE(S) is in position to tell persons not to move:
  • The throttle control levers
  • The slat and flap control levers
   (2) On the center pedestal, on ENG panel 115VU:
     (a) Make sure that the ENG/MODE selector switch is in the NORM position.
     (b) Make sure that the ENG/MASTER 1(2) control switch was in the OFF position.
     (c) Put WARNING NOTICE(S) in position to tell persons not to operate:
  • The ENG/MODE selector switch
  • The ENG/MASTER 1(2) control switch.
   (3) On the ENG section of the maintenance panel 50VU:
  • Make sure that the ON legend of the FADEC GND PWR/1(2) pushbutton switch is off.
  • Make sure that the WARNING NOTICE(S) is in position to tell persons not to energize FADEC 1(2).
   (4) Make sure that the ACCESS PLATFORM 2M (6 FT) - ADJUSTABLE is in position.
   (5) Make sure that the MCDU 3CA1 and 3CA2 are removed (Ref. AMM TASK 22-82-12-000-001).
   (6) Make sure that the Radio Management Panels 1RG1 and 1RG2 are removed (Ref. AMM TASK 23-13-13-000-001).
   (7) Make sure that the Audio Control Panels 2RN1 and 2RN2 are removed (Ref. AMM TASK 23-51-12-000-001).
   (8) Make sure that the Weather Radar Control Unit 3SQ is removed (Ref. AMM TASK 34-41-12-000-001).
   (9) Make sure that the ATC Control Unit 3SH is removed (Ref. AMM TASK 34-52-12-000-001).
   (10) Make sure that the FLOOD LT/INTEG LT panel 111VU and FLOOD LT panel 112VU are removed.
   (11) Make sure that the plates (8), (4) and (10) are removed.

4. Procedure
Subtask 76-11-17-420-056-A
A. Install the Throttle Control Artificial Feel Unit as follows:
   (1) Install the throttle control artificial feel unit (23).
   (2) Install the two bolts (24), the two washers (22) and the two nuts (21).
   (3) If necessary bond the bushes (25) on the bolts (26) with Loctite 675 (Material No.CP2188) .
   (4) Install the two bolts (26), the two washers (20) and the two nuts (19).
   (5) Tighten the four nuts (21) and (19).
   (6) Installation of the cotter pin
WARNING: USE PROTECTIVE GOGGLES WHEN YOU REMOVE OR INSTALL A COTTER PIN. EACH TIME YOU REMOVE A COTTER PIN DURING THE TASK, DISCARD IT IMMEDIATELY. A LOOSE COTTER PIN CAN CUT YOU OR MAKE YOU BLIND.
     (a) Install four new AIPC 76-11-01-02-010 COTTER PINS (18).
   (7) Install the four rods (27).
   (8) If necessary bond the four bushes (16) on the four bolts (17) with Loctite 675 (Material No.
CP2188) .
   (9) Install the four bolts (17), the four washers (15) and the four nuts (14).
   (10) Tighten the four nuts (14).

B. Adjustment of the Mechanical Linkage:
   (1) Make sure that you can easily install and remove the 98DNSA20208080 RIGGING PIN (12) in the artificial feel unit.
     (a) If you cannot do this, adjust the length of the rod (Ref. AMM TASK 76-11-00-820-805).
   (2) Make sure that you can easily install and remove the 98DNSA20206080 RIGGING PIN (11) in the Throttle Control Unit (TCU).
     (a) If you cannot do this, adjust the length of the rod (Ref. AMM TASK 76-11-00-820-805).

C. Installation of the cotter pin
WARNING: USE PROTECTIVE GOGGLES WHEN YOU REMOVE OR INSTALL A COTTER PIN. EACH TIME YOU REMOVE A COTTER PIN DURING THE TASK, DISCARD IT IMMEDIATELY. A LOOSE COTTER PIN CAN CUT YOU OR MAKE YOU BLIND.
   (1) Install four new AIPC 76-11-01-02-010 COTTER PINS (13).

D. Remove the rigging pin (12) from the artificial feel unit and the rigging pin (11) from the TCU.

E. Install the 98D76103000000 THROTTLE LEVER LOAD MEASURE on the throttle control levers.

F. Adjustment of the Artificial Feel Unit:
   (1) Measure the value necessary to move the throttle control lever between the IDLE STOP and the MAX CLIMB.
     (a) This value must be 0.8 +0.1 -0 daN (1.8 +0.2 -0 lbf).
NOTE: Measure this value in the IDLE STOP to MAX CLIMB range. Do not measure this value at the hard point where the load increases suddenly.
   (2) Measure the value necessary to move to more than MAX CLIMB hard point.
     (a) This value must be 2.5 +0.1 -0 daN (5.62 +0.22 -0 lbf).
   (3) If you do not get these values, adjust the artificial feel unit (Ref. AMM TASK 76-11-00-820-806).

G. Remove the 98D76103000000 THROTTLE LEVER LOAD MEASURE from the throttle control levers.

A. Close Access
   (1) Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tools and other items.
   (2) Installation of plates, ventilation plates and clamps:
     (a) Install the plates (4) and (10).
     (b) Install the washers (5) and the screws (6).
     (c) Install the clamps (9).
     (d) Install the ventilation plates (8).
     (e) Install the screws (7).
   (3) Install the FLOOD LT/INTEG LT panel 111VU and FLOOD LT panel 112VU.
NOTE: The installation procedure is the same for the FLOOD LT/INTEG LT panel 111VU and FLOOD LT panel 112VU.
     (a) Remove the blanking caps from the connectors (2) and (3).
     (b) Install the connector (3) on the panel (1).
     (c) Install the panel (1) on the structure.
     (d) Fully tighten the fasteners on the panel (1).
   (4) Install the Multipurpose Control and Display Units (3CA1 and 3CA2) (Ref. AMM TASK 22-82-12-400-002).
   (5) Install the Radio Management Panels (1RG1 and 1RG2) (Ref. AMM TASK 23-13-13-400-001).
   (6) Install the Audio Control Panels (2RN1 and 2RN2) (Ref. AMM TASK 23-51-12-400-001).
   (7) Install the Weather Radar Control Unit (3SQ) (Ref. AMM TASK 34-41-12-400-001).
   (8) Install the ATC Control Unit (3SH) (Ref. AMM TASK 34-52-12-400-001).

B. Close Access
   (1) Remove the access platform(s).
   (2) Close the access door 811
   (3) Remove the WARNING NOTICE(S).

   (1) Operate the light adjustment knobs of the panels FLOOD LT/INTEG LT PNL 111VU and FLOOD LT PNL 112VU.
   (2) Make sure that the light intensity of the glareshield panels 13VU, F/O glareshield panel 130VU, captain glareshield panel 131VU, and overhead CTL & IND panel 48VU changes.
