A. Aircraft Maintenance Configuration
(1) Make sure that the ground service network is energized
(Ref. AMM TASK 24-42-00-861-001).
Subtask 22-82-12-865-055-A (1) Make sure that the ground service network is energized
(Ref. AMM TASK 24-42-00-861-001).
B. Make sure that this(these) circuit breaker(s) is(are) open, safetied and tagged:

Subtask 22-82-12-420-053-B ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
A. Installation of the MCDU
(2) Do an inspection of the component interfaces and the adjacent area.
(3) Remove the CAP-BLANKING from each electrical connector and receptacle.
(4) Make sure that the electrical connector (4) is clean and in the correct condition.
(a) Install a new AIPC 22-84-08-05-060 CAP (5) on receptacle J2.
(b) Remove and discard the small chain attached to the cap (5).
(7) Install the MCDU (2) in its housing.
(8) Tighten the Dzus fasteners (1) by a quarter turn.
Subtask 22-82-12-420-053-C ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL NOTE: This procedure is applicable to each MCDU.
(1) Clean the component interfaces and the adjacent area.(2) Do an inspection of the component interfaces and the adjacent area.
(3) Remove the CAP-BLANKING from each electrical connector and receptacle.
(4) Make sure that the electrical connector (4) is clean and in the correct condition.
CAUTION:
IF YOU REMOVED THE TWO MCDU'S (1 AND 2), BE CAREFUL TO CONNECT EACH CONNECTOR (3CA1A AND 3CA2A) TO THE CORRECT MCDU. THIS WILL PREVENT CROSS-CONNECTION OF THE MCDU'S.
(5) Connect the electrical connector (4) to receptacle J1 (3). Make sure that the electrical connector (4) is connected to the correct MCDU (2).NOTE: The MCDU (2) has two receptacles.
(6) Make sure that the cap (5) is installed on receptacle J2. If necessary:(a) Install a new AIPC 22-84-08-05-060 CAP (5) on receptacle J2.
(b) Remove and discard the small chain attached to the cap (5).
(7) Install the MCDU (2) in its housing.
(8) Tighten the Dzus fasteners (1) by a quarter turn.

(4) Make sure that the electrical connectors (4) are clean and in the correct condition.
(6) Install the MCDU (2) in its housing.
(7) Tighten the Dzus fasteners (1) by a quarter turn.
Subtask 22-82-12-420-053-G ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL NOTE: This procedure is applicable to each MCDU.
(1) Clean the component interfaces and the adjacent area.(2) Do an inspection of the component interfaces and the adjacent area.
(3) Remove the CAP-BLANKING from each electrical connector and receptacle.
(4) Make sure that the electrical connectors (4) are clean and in the correct condition.

IF YOU REMOVED THE TWO MCDU'S (1 AND 2), BE CAREFUL TO CONNECT EACH CONNECTOR (3CA1A AND 3CA2A) TO THE CORRECT MCDU. THIS WILL PREVENT CROSS-CONNECTION OF THE MCDU'S.
(5) Connect the electrical connectors (4) to receptacles J1 and J2 (3). Make sure that the electrical connectors (4) are connected to the correct MCDU (2).(6) Install the MCDU (2) in its housing.
(7) Tighten the Dzus fasteners (1) by a quarter turn.

(b) Remove and discard the small chain attached to the cover (5).
(7) Install the MCDU (2) in its housing.
(8) Tighten the Dzus fasteners (1) by a quarter turn.
Subtask 22-82-12-865-056-A NOTE: This procedure is applicable to each MCDU.
(1) Clean the component interfaces and the adjacent area.(2) Do an inspection of the component interfaces and the adjacent area.
(3) Remove the CAP-BLANKING from each electrical connector and receptacle.
(4) Make sure that the electrical connectors (4) are clean and in the correct condition.

IF YOU REMOVED THE TWO MCDU'S (1 AND 2), BE CAREFUL TO CONNECT EACH CONNECTOR (3CA1A AND 3CA2A) TO THE CORRECT MCDU. THIS WILL PREVENT CROSS-CONNECTION OF THE MCDU'S.
(5) Connect the electrical connectors (4) to receptacles J1 and J2 (3). Make sure that the electrical connectors (4) are connected to the correct MCDU (2).NOTE: The MCDU (2) has three receptacles.
(6) Make sure that the cover (5) is installed on receptacle J3. If necessary:(a) Install a new AIPC 22-84-08-05-050 COVER (5) or AIPC 22-84-88-05-050 COVER (5) on receptacle J3.
(b) Remove and discard the small chain attached to the cover (5).
(7) Install the MCDU (2) in its housing.
(8) Tighten the Dzus fasteners (1) by a quarter turn.
CAUTION:
IF YOU REMOVED THE TWO MCDU'S (1 AND 2), MAKE SURE THAT:
B. Remove the safety clip(s) and the tag(s) and close this(these) circuit breaker(s):- WHEN YOU CLOSE CIRCUIT BREAKER 11CA1, POWER IS SUPPLIED TO MCDU 1
- WHEN YOU CLOSE CIRCUIT BREAKER 11CA2, POWER IS SUPPLIED TO MCDU 2.
