Subtask 75-32-05-941-052-A
A. Safety Precautions
   (1) On the center pedestal, on ENG panel 115VU:
     (a) Make sure that the ENG/MODE selector switch is in the NORM position.
     (b) Make sure that the ENG/MASTER 1(2) control switch was in the OFF position not less than five minutes before you do this procedure.
     (c) Make sure that the WARNING NOTICE(S) is in position to tell persons not to operate:
  • The ENG/MODE selector switch, and
  • The ENG/MASTER 1(2) control switch.
   (2) On the ENG section of maintenance panel 50VU:
     (a) Make sure that the ON legend of the FADEC GND PWR/1(2) pushbutton switch is off.
     (b) Make sure that the WARNING NOTICE(S) is in position to tell persons not to energize FADEC 1(2).

B. Get Access
   (1) Make sure that the fan cowl doors are open (Ref. AMM TASK 71-13-00-010-803):

   (2) Make sure that the ACCESS PLATFORM 1M(3 FT) is in position.

C. Deactivation of the Thrust Reverser System for Maintenance
WARNING: YOU MUST DEACTIVATE THE THRUST REVERSER BEFORE YOU DO WORK ON OR AROUND IT. IF YOU DO NOT, THE THRUST REVERSER CAN OPERATE ACCIDENTALLY AND CAUSE AN INJURY AND/OR DAMAGE.
   (1) Make sure that you did the deactivation of the thrust reverser system for maintenance (Ref. AMM TASK 78-30-00-040-809).

D. Get Access
   (1) Make sure that the right thrust-reverser cowl-door is open (Ref. AMM TASK 78-36-00-010-806):
     (a) FOR [4020KM1] (POWER PLANT-DEMOUNTABLE, ENGINE 1)

4. Procedure
Subtask 75-32-05-420-050-A
A. Installation of the Right VSV Actuator
   (1) Remove all the COVER - PROTECTION and CAP - PROTECTION from the openings, tubes, hoses and connectors.
   (2) Install the sleeve (36) in the right VSV actuator (6).
   (3) Put the right VSV actuator (6) in position on the bell crank assembly (21).
   (4) Apply engine oil (Material No.CP2442) on the threads of the bolt (28), bolt (29), bolt (33) and bolt (35).
   (5) Install the bolt (33) and the nut (34) that attach the right VSV actuator (6) to the bell crank assembly (21) hand-tight.
   (6) Install the bolt (35), bushing (31) and nut (32) that attach the right VSV actuator (6) to the bell crank assembly (21) hand-tight.
   (7) Install the bolt (29), bushing (30), washer (23) and nut (24) that attach the connecting link (22) to the right VSV actuator (6) hand-tight.
   (8) Install the bolt (28), bushing (27), washer (26) and nut (25) that attach the bell crank assembly (21) and connector link (22) to the right VSV actuator (6) hand-tight.
   (9) TORQUE the nut (34), nut (32), nut (24) and nut (25) to between 124 and 106 lbf.in (1.40 and 1.20 m.daN ) T.
   (10) Put a new
EIPC 73-00-00-20-410 GASKET SEAL (10) between the right VSV actuator (6) and the fuel hydraulic VSV tube hose (11).
   (11) Apply engine oil (Material No.
CP2442) on the threads of the four bolts (12).
   (12) Install the four bolts (12) that attach the fuel hydraulic VSV tube hose (11) to the right VSV actuator (6).
   (13) TORQUE the four bolts (12) to between 124 and 106 lbf.in (1.40 and 1.20 m.daN ) T.
   (14) Install the drain tube (13) as follows:

     (a) Put the drain tube (13) in position and connect the drain tube (13) B-nut to the fuel hydraulic manifold (9) hand-tight.

     (b) Connect the fuel hydraulic VSV tube hose (11) B-nut to the drain tube (13) hand-tight.
     (c) Connect the drain tube (13) B-nut to the drain tube (17) hand-tight.

     (d) TORQUE the drain tube (13) B-nut at the fuel hydraulic manifold (9) to between 308 and 262 lbf.in (3.48 and 2.96 m.daN )

     (e) TORQUE the fuel hydraulic VSV tube hose (11) B-nut at the drain tube (13) to between 308 and 262 lbf.in (3.48 and 2.96 m.daN )

     (f) TORQUE the drain tube (13) B-nut at the drain tube (17) to between 308 and 262 lbf.in (3.48 and 2.96 m.daN )

     (g) Install the bolt (20) that attaches the loop clamp (14) and the drain tube (13) to the bracket (19) hand-tight.
     (h) Install the bolt (16) that attaches the loop clamp (15) and the drain tube (13) to the bracket (18) hand-tight.
     (i) TORQUE the bolt (20) and the bolt (16) to between 70 and 60 lbf.in (0.79 and 0.68 m.daN )

     (j) Install the bolt (16) that attaches the loop clamp (15) and the drain tube (13) to the bracket (18) hand-tight.
     (k) TORQUE the bolt (16) to between 70 and 60 lbf.in (0.79 and 0.68 m.daN )

   (15) Connect the electrical connector (7) to the right VSV actuator (6) (
Ref. AMM TASK 70-70-00-910-804).

   (16) Connect the electrical connector (5) to the right MTC actuator (4) (Ref. AMM TASK 70-70-00-910-804).
   (17) Put the two HJ8B electrical harnesses (1) and the four HJ8A electrical harnesses (3) in the six clips on the support bracket (2).

POST SB 72-0112
   (18) Remove the CAP - BLANKING or plug from the electrical connector (5) and connect it to the harness receptacle bracket (8).
   (19) Put the two HJ8B electrical harnesses (1) and the four HJ8A electrical harnesses (3) in the six clips on the support bracket (2).

   (20) Install variable bleed valve duct 3 (Ref. AMM TASK 72-24-80-400-801).
   (21) Install segment shroud 2 (Ref. AMM TASK 72-24-01-400-801).

   (1) Do the actuators test (menu mode) (Ref. AMM TASK 73-29-00-740-802).
