Mechanical Check of the Low Pressure Compressor (LPC) (2.5) Bleed Air System [PW11]

TASK 75-32-01-200-801-A
Mechanical Check of the Low Pressure Compressor (LPC) (2.5) Bleed Air System

WARNING: BE CAREFUL WHEN YOU DO WORK ON THE ENGINE AFTER SHUTDOWN. THE ENGINE CAN STAY HOT FOR A LONG TIME. IF YOU DO NOT OBEY THIS INSTRUCTION, INJURY CAN OCCUR.
1. Reason for the Job
Use this procedure to make sure that the LPC (2.5) bleed air system is serviceable.
NOTE: All Electronic Engine Control (EEC) monitored faults are transmitted to the aircraft Centralized Fault Display Interface Unit (CFDIU). The Multipurpose Control and Display Unit (MCDU) permits interactive dialog with the EEC. The MCDU can be used to review the last leg report, scheduled maintenance faults report, and ground faults report. If there are LPC bleed system faults reported, they must be troubleshoot first.

4. Procedure
Subtask 75-32-01-210-050-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
A. Mechanical Check of the Low Pressure Compressor (LPC) (2.5) Bleed Air System
CAUTION: WIPE CLEAN ALL PARTS AND TOOLS AS NECESSARY TO REMOVE UNWANTED DEBRIS AND PREVENT DAMAGE TO THE ENGINE.
   (1) Find the LPC (2.5) bleed valve actuator at the 10 o'clock position.
   (2) Remove the fan exit liner segment adjacent to the actuator (Ref. AMM TASK 72-21-08-000-801).
   (3) Remove the actuator connecting link bolt and disengage the connecting link from the actuator (Ref. AMM TASK 75-32-01-000-801).
NOTE: Rigging is not necessary for the LPC (2.5) bleed air system.
   (4) Do a visual check to see if the LPC (2.5) bleed valve is in the open (forward) position. If it is not in the open (forward) position, this can identify a system problem.
   (5) Do a visual inspection of the LPC (2.5) bleed air system (Ref. AMM TASK 75-00-00-210-802).
   (6) Check the LPC (2.5) bleed air system as follows:
     (a) Manually hold the bellcrank and move the bleed valve aft (closed) and forward (open). If the bleed valve does not move, remove the engine from service.
     (b) Move the bleed valve back to the open (forward) position.
NOTE: The bleed valve must be open at engine start for the engine to operate correctly.
   (7) Attach the connecting link to the actuator (Ref. AMM TASK 75-32-01-400-801).
   (8) If necessary, do a check for correct operation of the actuator (Ref. AMM TASK 73-21-00-710-809).
   (9) Install the fan exit liner segment adjacent to the actuator (Ref. AMM TASK 72-21-08-400-801).
   (10) Examine the assembly for foreign objects, damage and correct assembly.
